Chapter 4: Chapter 3 – Cat girl eats with another cat girl

I chewed loudly and noisily, devouring everything. I knew I needed to maintain my image as a girl, but the food was too delicious to resist. Cat girls are, after all, part cats. Hunting and eating meat are two of the most important traits of cats! So I saw no reason to hold back.

I tasted the potato. The potato was a bit hot. Therefore, I put a little bit on my spoon, and I blew until it was cool. Puff puff. Then into my mouth.

“Mmmmmh!”

The hot potato cube melted almost instantly, packed with flavor. It was so creamy, and the gravy was just how I liked it to be. So rich and meaty, with lots of herb and butter taste!

And what was this meat? This mysterious meat was similar to beef brisket in terms of texture, but lighter in color and had less fat. But even then, it was super tender and juicy!

As Lizz called it Chupal stew, I guessed that it was made from some kind of animal called a "Chupal". Or it could have been the name of the person who invented this dish? Or maybe it was the location where it was created?

"This is delish! Delish nyaa!"

My cheeks were stuffed! I couldn't stop taking bite after bite after bite.

Meanwhile, the back-haired cat girl just sat there at the same table, happily watching me eat. I could see the excitement in her smile, and the way that her tail was wagging back and forth nonstop.

"Lizz, you are an amazing cook nyaa!" I complimented her.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it!" Lizz replied with a huge smile. 

"By the way, is chupal an animal nya?" I asked.

Lizz's face lit up. "Yeah, chupal is a type of animal that lives in the forest. We hunt them regularly and the meat is absolutely delicious. But it's strange, you haven't seen one before? They're quite common around here."

I felt a pang of guilt as I realized I had to keep my true identity a secret. I couldn't risk Lizz finding out that I was from another world. So, I came up with an excuse. "I... I can't remember nya," I said, pretending to hold my head in pain. "Whenever I try to remember, my head... it hurts so much nya."

Lizz's expression immediately turned to concern. "Oh no! Are you okay? I'm so sorry, I didn't know."

I then played along, letting out a few fake cries and moans.

"Nyaaargh! These memories... they're so dark. Mother... father... don't leave me!" I screamed, pretending to be overwhelmed by the pain. I clutched my chest and fell to the ground, tears streaming down my face.

"Ehh? What? Ehhh?" Lizz panicked. "What should I do? I'm sorry! What should I do?"

She was crying...

And with that, I realized I had gone overboard there. So, slowly, I crawled back to my seat.

"It's... it's alright nya." I said while breathing heavily. "It's my fault, I shouldn't have tried nya... I just... want to at least remember my name, nya..."

"Don't worry about it," Lizz said while wiping away her tears. "You don't have to remember anything right now if it brings you so much pain."

“I... I guess nya... But then... who... am I nya...? Where... do I belong... nya?"

"How... How about we come up with a new name for you until you remember your previous one? You know, a pretty and cool name that is just as beautiful as you!"

My heart was filled with warmth after hearing her words. In the first few moments of meeting her, I could already tell she was a caring and loving person. She radiated compassion, and it was clear that she was someone I could trust and confide in.

And just as calculated!

The thing was, I had also been thinking about a new name. So I looked at Lizz with sparkling eyes and asked softly, "Lizz, can you please think of a name for me nya?"

"Are you sure?" she asked.

"Of course nya! Any name you give me, I will cherish it! After all, you are now my first and only best friend nya!"

Lizz's cheeks blushed. "Then, can I call you... Felicia? And your last name should be Deathwhizkersz, so Felicia Deathwhizkersz?"

Felicia? I liked it. 

But, the word "Deathwhizkersz"... What the hell was that?

I remembered Lizz mentioning earlier that it had something to do with my hair color.
