Chapter 3: Chapter 2 – Cat girl meets another cat girl

The voice is so soft and pleasant. The person must be a very young girl. My beautiful blue dress already has some dirt spots, so, it's a pleasure when someone brings me a clean set of clothes.

After adjusting my dress, I get up and open the door. And then, what I see afterwards is a hundred times better than I imagined! I gasp in amazement as I take in the sight before me.

"Wow, you're a cat girl too nya!" I exclaim.

The girl in front of me, she is a cute black haired girl, with tomboyish style, holding a candle in one hand and a neatly folded dress in the other. Her skin is white and smooth, her face is as lovely as a doll and her eyes are emerald green. Her tall, slender body is framed by a simple white dress. Not too flashy or luxurious, but still enough to make my heart skip several beats. If angels exist in this world, I now know what they look like.

“Wow, you're so beautiful!”

Coincidentally, we both say it at the same time.

"Ooh! Thank you nya!" I'm very happy when a cat girl compliments me, so I cannot help but smile. However, "I think you're the most charming one here nya!" I say.

But the girl immediately turns around and hugs her face. “No… no way! Is… is she joking?" she is now whispering to herself. "She is joking right?"

That makes me very confused. Weird. Why would a girl react like that when I praise her? I don’t really understand.

So I apologize.

“I’m… I'm sorry nya. Did I say something rude nya?"

When someone suddenly tells a girl that she is cute, it can be quite a creepy situation. Maybe that's the case?

But "No! Not at all!" the girl immediately turns around and shakes her head. "But to think a DeathWhizkersz would compliment me like this… I mean, you are way more beautiful than me. Your hair is white. White is the most gorgeous hair color..."

I tilt my head, trying to process that information. Yes, my hair is white. But I don't understand why hair color is relevant.

"I mean, isn't beauty subjective nya? White hair or black hair or red hair, they can all be beautiful, nya?"

But the girl just shakes her head and smiles. "Well, you are right, anyone can be beautiful. But I still think white hair is the prettiest."

The girl then tries her best to convince me that people with white hair and blue eyes are the most charming in the world. I want to argue more with her, but suddenly my stomach rumbles, interrupting our conversation.

I scratch my head in embarrassment, thinking that I had ruined the mood, but she just chuckled.

"No worries! Let me get you something to eat!"

A few moments later, in the dining room.

I take a seat at the large wooden table and wait for Lizz to bring out the food. The dining room is cozy and inviting, with warm colors on the walls. In the distance, a grand stone fireplace takes up almost an entire wall, showcasing a stunning oil painting of a large vase of red roses above it. On the mantel sit two silver candlesticks, adding a touch of elegance to the room. The weather is still warm, so the fireplace is not in use. Instead, the room is illuminated by soft candlelight, creating a serene atmosphere. The table is set with everyday silverware and made of rich, dark wood.

And then, while waiting, I have some interesting thoughts.

Cat food is really horrible. But, who knows, when I became a cat girl, maybe my taste buds changed too?

I have noticed a change in my tongue. Similar to a cat's tongue, mine also has spikes! There must be hundreds, thousands of small spikes covering it all! As I gently lick my hand, I feel a rough sensation, almost like brushing my hand with sandpaper.

And if I accidentally eat chocolate or grapes, will I die of liver failure?

Suddenly, a fragrant aroma wafted over.

As Lizz's footsteps get closer, I take a few whiffs of the air. Somehow, my nose has become very sensitive!

Meat! It's braised meat!

Saliva fills my mouth. Meat and vegetables smell so delicious together. I take a deep breath, savoring the fragrant aroma of a blend of herbs that I can't quite place. Onions? Carrots? Celery? The scent of butter and bread is also present. And about the meat, I can't help but wonder what kind of meat it is. It smells a bit like beef, but also a bit like pork.

And it looks like cat girls eat girl food after all!

I let out a sigh of relief. Just then, the dining room door opens.

"Ta-da!" Lizz has arrived!

My eyes widen as I see the tray she's carrying, piled high with two large servings of meat and veggies. She sets it down on the table and takes a seat opposite me. "Come on, dig in!" she says with a smile, as she hands me my plate of meat. We begin to eat, cutting into the tender, juicy meat, and savoring each bite. We also have a plate of mashed potatoes (or something similar to that), along with colorful vegetables and bread to share.

"Hehe," Lizz smiles cheerfully. "Enjoy the meal!"

"Mmm!" I reply, my mouth too full to say anything else.
