Description: Earth is a rocky type planet with a solid iron core. She is covered in water, and is home to the most diverse amount of species of any planet discovered to date. Her age spans anywhere from 5-4 billion years, and she has cradled life for around 3.7 billion of those years. Her temperature averages at around 288º K. Based on the sun's age, we expect her to die in around 5 billion years. She is home to the only sapient species we have discovered, us. Humanity*. [EDIT] As of 09 May, 2091, other sapient species have been discovered. However; none of them have advanced past the industrial age. Per the Non-Intervention Act, no attempts at communication have been attempted.

History: Earth is the home-world of all 9.3 quadrillion solarians throughout the cosmos, as well as the capitol of the Solarian Imperium. This has earned her another moniker, The Cradle. She shares this nickname with the Sol system as a whole. She was humanity's only planet* for well over two hundred thousand years. She lost this title in the year 2031 after the successful mission to colonize Mars*. Despite her brutal past when humanity scarred her beauty with war and heavy industrialization, she has recovered after two centuries of the revitalization efforts following the Conservation of the Cradle Act*. She has been turned into a global park, conserving her beauty for the generations to come. The people of Earth have been allowed to stay, but without special permissions, nobody is allowed to migrate in*. Due to immortality treatments, as well as the CCA, Earth's population has stagnated for centuries.

1. Sapient species: [OUTDATED INFORMATION] As of the creation of this article, no other sapient species, or any species, has been discovered on other planets. [MODERNIZED INFORMATION] Sapient species are defined as beings showing human-like intelligence. While it can be argued that other ape species have grown sapience over the years, they are limited to primitive tools such as sticks and stones.

2. Non-Intervention Act: Following the discovery of the first other sapient species, the Solarian Imperium went through a few long years of heated debate on how to react. In the end, they chose to treat them the same way certain tribal people were treated on Earth. Observation from a distance was the most we were allowed to do.

3. The Solarian Imperium: The Solarian Imperium is the government that took over control of Earth following the Unification of 2274. While still a rather young nation, it has grown to be the strongest nation in recorded history, beating the United Systems of Earth (2134-2274) by a land slide. With a population of 9,349,270,465,644,219 (as of the 2379 census), and spanning three galaxies, it is the largest known nation.

4. Pre-space Earth: Earth has been inhabited by humans for well over 200,000 years and has supported life for around 3.7 billion years.

5. Mars Colonization: Mars was colonized on 15 April, 2031. NASA, along with a private contractor, launched the first colonization of Mars following the discovery of sub-surface ice. Terraforming missions took place soon after, leading to Mars becoming a "green" planet on 9 July, 2093. Earth and Mars have been nicknamed the "twin green marbles".

6. Conservation of the Cradle Act: Passed in 2117, the CCA was a nation-wide effort to heal Earth of her wounds. It named her a National Park world, with no new cities being able to be constructed on her surface, and previous on-Earth national parks keeping their status. Earth is a major tourist destination, serving hundreds of millions of tourists every day. The people of Earth live in near utopian paradise due to this act, and the Solarian Imperium has fought to keep it that way. Before this act, it was believed that Earth had only 1000 more years until the surface became so unstable that it turned into a pre-terraformed Mars.

7. Earth Migration: Unless an individual has family on Earth, or direct permission, no migration is allowed to take place. People can, however, leave Earth if they desire. Only around 100 people are cleared for migration a year.

8. Immortality Treatment: Due to the incredible work done by Dr. Jack Hammond, CRISPR is able to modify a persons genetics to ensure that their cells never give out. It also eliminated diseases associated with old age like Alzheimer's. This has led humanity to become genetically immortal, with the oldest known individual, April Jackson, having been born 2 March, 1997.
