Chapter 1: Chapter 1 – My new life

Darkness, this was all I could see in front of me, I don't know exactly how long I have been wandering in this empty space with nothing, it could be hours or maybe decades, maybe you are wondering how I got here and the explanation for this question is very simple.

 

I died, since I was born, I was diagnosed with an incurable disease, basically my days were numbered from the moment my mother took me in her arms, because of this disease I have spent my last 20 years, lying in a hospital bed.

 

As my family was apparently rich they always gave me everything I asked for, I say apparently because I never left the hospital to see the house where my father and mother lived, they showed me pictures of the room that would be mine when I was cured, from the pictures I could see that the place was very luxurious.

 

Besides this fact my medications were extremely expensive, but since my parents always bought them and it didn't seem that they spent more than they had, I concluded that we were rich.

 

Normally my disease would kill someone at about 10 years after the discovery of the disease, but thanks to my parents I was able to reach my twenties, and I am extremely grateful to them for that.

 

In addition, I was able to say goodbye to my parents with a smile on my face and thank them for everything they did for me, I really have no regrets, if I had to name one it would be that I didn't have the opportunity to love.

 

As I was always in a hospital bed, I never went out to meet someone and fall in love, I spent my 20 years of life practically reading books about everything I could get my hands on and also played games about founding countries and military strategies that were my favorite genres.

 

Thanks to this I can say that I gained an incredible amount of knowledge about various things and how they work, I wouldn't consider myself an inventor or anything like that, after all what I learned was basically the method of manufacturing things that had been manufactured before.

 

If I had a chance to start over, I would want to find someone to love like my parents loved me, I would do anything for that person, even if it meant becoming an enemy to the whole world.

 

While all these thoughts were going through my head suddenly a light came on in front of me, that light was emitting a warmth that was strangely comfortable, as if this was the place I was supposed to be.

 

Without realizing it I was slowly approaching the light, it seemed that I was being hypnotized by the light to get closer, slowly as I was getting closer the light was getting stronger and stronger until my field of vision was completely taken by the light.

 

"..."

 

I can hear noises in the background, but they are too low for me to hear clearly.

 

"R..."

 

Again, something and uttered, but again I can't hear, and as if my ears are ringing in some kind of way.

 

Slowly the ringing begins to cease and I can hear clearly what the voice was saying.

 

"Ren, my dear Ren, you have finally arrived for us"

 

Whoever was speaking these words was a relatively beautiful woman, long brown hair and brown eyes made her beautiful face even more beautiful, tears could be seen coming out of her eyes as a beautiful smile surrounded her lips.

 

While looking at the woman she suddenly turns her head to the side and seems to talk to someone, unfortunately I can't move my head, with this bizarre situation going on I can only come to one conclusion.

While these thoughts were going through my head suddenly another face entered my field of vision.

 

It was a slightly bearded man, his features looked very much like the person who was probably my mother, brown hair and eyes, plus he was quite handsome too.

    

Apparently, I won't have to worry about looks.

 

"Hi Ren, I'm your father" 

 

Said the man as a smile surrounded their faces.

 

Although I can't move properly that doesn't mean I can't do anything, I was trying for a while and I seem to be able to use my mouth even decently, but I doubt I can utter words but that should be enough as a fan-service.

 

"Kyu"

 

After my words the man who is probably and my father became so emotional that he began to cry.

 

They seem to be extremely loving parents since my father was happy enough to cry over a simple noise that I spoke randomly.

 

While being enveloped in this cozy feeling my stomach suddenly started to show signs that it needed food.

 

Since I can't talk, I guess the only way to ask for food is to cry, I wouldn't really cry just because I'm hungry but since food is important for a growing baby, I couldn't escape it.

 

So, getting ready for it I compress all the air I can into my newborn lungs before letting out a huge noise.

 

"Uaaaaaaaa, Uaaaaaaaa"

 

As soon as I started crying my father got a confused face not knowing what to do.

 

"I think he's hungry, please give him to me honey, it's time for our Ren to eat.

 

As soon as my mother said this to my father, he passed me into her arms and she quickly put my head close to her chest.

 

As soon as I was close enough, I grabbed my mother's breast carefully so as not to hurt her and sucked on the milk nipple.

 

A sweet taste began to enter my mouth going straight from my stomach, I could easily say that this was the most delicious milk I had ever tasted.

 

"Drink slowly my darling Ren"

 

My mother said as she stroked my head with her delicate hand.

 

At that moment I wanted time to stand still so that I could enjoy this moment forever.
