Chapter 2: The Beginning of Madness

I really don’t know if this place is cursed or something, but every time I come to this goddamned college of mine some bullshit happens.

I just wanna live a normal life, get some friends and have some fun, but this seems just like an impossible dream right now as what happened today can be called everything but normal.

We were just in class moments ago preparing for the exam, when a blinding beam of light engulfed me, it was so bright that I had to close my eyes for moment and when I came to my senses, I found myself in this strange place with all of my classmates, as all of them got transported away with me.

Everyone was so confused at first thinking it was a projection or a hologram but that cant be it , this place was wide open with greenery everywhere.

“Hey …is this a joke? what is this place”

“Miss Allen, what is happening is this some event or something?”

Miss Allen is the last name of our teacher, and this woman seems to be just as confused as we are, as this whole scenario is so bizarre.

“No, that doesn’t make any sense, because I would have been notified beforehand”

“Guys take a Look at the sky”

As everyone looked up, they were dumbfounded, as 2 suns could be seen with one being brighter than the other and so much bigger.

“Did the moon get bigger and brighter? “

“No that must be Jupiter, as it is made of gas, it might look like a dimmer sun from afar with some reflection “

“Guys …This is definitely not earth, even the greenery seems weird and the sky is greenish in color this doesn’t make any sense, it seems we have been transported to another planet or maybe another dimension altogether “

Finally, someone who has a brain, if I remember correctly this guy is the class president so no wonder, he can be calm and collected even in this kind of situation.

“No way….”

“What kind of bullshit is that…are your dumb dude “  

this guy seems to be short tempered and a bit slower at taking things, he was the ace of the football team and his name is kai

“Well, we will know the truth soon enough anyway, let’s get going we should explore our surroundings

But be careful don’t do anything unnecessary and don’t touch anything with your hands, now follow me. “this class president is really useful and he seems to be trusted by the others.

If you look at us from above right now you could see 20 people walking together in an open green field, this place feels really weird, it’s like walking in a football field but 100 times bigger with some trees here and there that have the weirdest leaf’s I have ever seen, a leaf that resembles an eye in its form, just from looking at it you’d feel as if the tree is staring back at you. Some really creepy shit.

The big problem right now is that we have nothing on us no food, no water no equipment’s only the garments that we have, we are really in in a tight spot right now.

“Hey can you see that “

“What is it? “

“Is that a rabbit”

“It might be , lets get closer”

“…that’s definitely not a rabbit look closely, that thing has human ears and a human like face but its not a human either as the lower parts of the body are definitely that of a rabbit”

This time it was a girl who spoke that has blonde hair and a short stature, who was silent the whole trip her name is jasmine.

“Sh-Should we try to catch it? We will need to eat sooner or later so we should have something at least”

Another girl spoke this time a timid one who I don’t know the name very well.

To be honest I don’t know the names of most of these people I’m just a ghost in the classroom who comes only when he has to come and that’s for a good reason as everything has a cause …

“Even we catch it would you be able to eat it ,that that thing has a fuking human face, that is totally disgusting “

“It’s no time to be picky my friend, we have to do what we need to do “

In in the middle of all this mess I could fell the gaze of someone on me, as this girl has been looking at me like she has seen a ghost, does she know me? But I have never seen her before or is she one of ” those“ guys ?  because if that is the case things could turn real bad for me , maybe its love from first sight …my looks are better than average after all...Man even if that is the case she really is creeping me the fuck out.

“Ok, here’s how we are going to do this, do you see that hole in the ground that must be its nest,  we will split into 4 groups  with 5 persons each , one will cover the nest out trying  to cut its escape route while the other 3 sneak up on it , we need to be as sneaky as possible and as careful as possible ,don’t let your guard down” this was the teacher proposition as she seems to have accepted the situation And is trying her best  to be as reliable as possible.”

“I am in, just be careful as that thing seems to be clueless about our presence, we have the surprise factor and we must use it to our advantage “

And That was me speaking just now trying to get away from this creepy stalker.

“Let’s do it we have no other choice “

“Yea be careful everyone”

After splitting into 4 groups everyone took their position with me being in the group to cover the nest.

The fact that we are only trying to catch a weird looking rabbit makes this operation look crazy ... but considering the circumstances I don’t think it’s that weird actually.

Looking at the hole this creature came from its bigger than a normal rabbit’s nest and there seems to be branches, shit and garbage scattered everywhere, and even bones…wait how the fuck did that get here unless…

I broke out of my thinking as the creature seems to be alerted to our presence as it turned around still standing in its position which is like 200-300 meters away from the nest, maybe it did know about our presence but wasn’t threatened until we approached the den.

The other groups seem to be closing up on it from different directions as the creature charged in our general direction running at full speed, but it’s definitely slower than a normal rabbit as it is twice the size so that’s definitely understandable.

Just as I was about to warn them about the bones a girl caught the rabbit by the tail than she grabbed the creature by both hands thinking that it was over, as it suddenly bit her hand almost crushing it as blood spurted everywhere dying the fur of the creature in red and spluttering on the girl’s face, this thing is definitely not a rabbit, it’s a meat-eating carnivore that has dog like teeth and a disgusting looking human face.

“gyahhhh  my hand… my fking hand…gehh” screaming in pain she wanted to let go of the creature but he kept biting her not letting go.

Things has turned really grim in a moments notice, as the creepy girl from earlier rushed in kicking the creature in the head disorienting it as it let go, that was when one of the boys kicked it again sending it stumbling 2 meters away as the others were trying to treat the injured girl’s hand and stop the bleeding.

Even when kicked right in the chest that thing is still alive …

“Gh…ghh ma.myy ha…nd”

This was not the girls voice that was the creature speaking as this thing could imitate human voice ,talk about being another level of creepy.

But those were its last words as everyone rushed in stomping it to death and smashing that ugly face of it into oblivion.

“We should get out of here who knows how many of those that nest holds”

“Yea I think this was a mother that’s why it got agitated when we approached the nest but right now, we should grab the kill, get some branches for fire and get out of here its better to be safe than sorry”

“How is your hand “I asked the girl which apparently her name is Laura as I just got here with my group dragging the creature carcass with us.

“The bleeding seems to have stopped or better than before I would say as they bandaged her hand really well”

It was the creepy girl who answered me staring me in the eyes, but right now I wouldn’t call her creepy after seeing what happened and how she was quick to act , she might be just a bit weird .

“I’m better now…I think” Laura answered me cutting our conversation.

After gathering the sticks while being extra cautious we just left that place as we need to get water and prepare a place to sleep.

Everyone is so demoralized and home sick right now, it’s actually crazy how a simple encounter like that could influence our mood.

Even I myself, am feeling a bit scarred, as this situation can get really bad. Let’s just hope that everything goes well from here on out.
