I was late.
The blast was fast, faster than my inanis could ever be. The power wasn't that strong but was strong enough to kill Lapiz in one strike alone. I'm not that worried though, she has death magic.
Still, I cannot advance due to the sheer number of enemies. My strength relies on preparation and defence so attacking me in numbers is a big advantage for them.
My hasta Aeris only targets one person at a time so it's really hard to clear a large portion of enemies. That also leaves me with one option left and I personally don't want to use it in closed areas.
Everything said above, I'm not worried in the slightest. After all, I'm strong.
While I was monologuing, the enemy with the scythe raised its hand stopping every skeleton at once.
He walked and looked at me closely.
"You… are a god right?" The creepy skeleton asked me telepathically.
"Uhh, yeah?" Why does everyone know I'm a god again?
"Hmm… why are you strangely familiar? Are you a lesser god?"
"That's kind of insulting but yes, I am indeed one of the lesser ones."
The lesser ones I'm talking about were the lesser gods. Lesser gods are gods that attended godhood without having any trace of sacred mana in the first place.
"You're… saying the truth. Why would a god so weak appear with her? Your aura does not even fit off a lesser god. What is happening…"
The skeleton thought for a bit with question marks above his head. He looks really confused.
He can detect lies, I have to be careful with my words from now on. Thankfully, my answer was a bit safe. Wasting time here is also a bad decision.
I then took this as an opportunity to prepare my magic. Maybe I'll stall him like the giant turtle.
"With her? Do you mean with Lapiz?"
"Lapiz? Hmm… the new fragment holder? That's quite odd. She still has her sanity even though she is hosting my lord."
With every word he spoke, the more confused I become. Host? That's a new word.
"You know, I kept hearing this fragment thing from you guys so if I may ask… just what is it?"
I'm tired of the questions. Just answer me for the love of god. Oh wait, that's me.
He went silent for a few seconds thinking about my question. Furthermore, he now looks more confused than he ever was before.
"You… this isn't right. Something doesn't match up, is this also why I can't feel that turtle's presence anymore?"
"Turtle? What turtle?"
"The… mountain turtle. He's one of the oldest beings that roamed this land. His strength is nothing to scoff at either. He was gone for many centuries leaving no trace whatsoever. Many believed he was dead yet I simply cannot see that from happening."
Was it the same turtle that I defeated ages ago?
The time stamps don't match up at all. The only conclusion I could come up with is they're not the same turtle. Noted.
"Why do a god such as you ask for that turtle? His name should be a bit common amongst you," The skeleton asked, he's pretty calm under such situations.
"Well… it's because of this!" I shouted as all spears went into one specific area. "Wind: Inanis."
A powerful lance made out of the wind suddenly appeared with a gravitational pull so strong that some might even mistake it for its planet.
I conjured it at his face, point blank range so that he has no escape.
The skeleton didn't move, based on his aura, he was rather happy. It rammed through his body like a doll as it continue to thrust the lines of the enemies.
While this was all happening, I took this as an opportunity to follow my Inanis. Even then, weird things keep happening.
Why are the enemies not moving? Is it because of the orders the scythe guy gave to them? If so, then that only means one thing. I hope I'm wrong.
I paid no heed to my conclusion and just went straight to my original plan. That is to go to the main door and exit this dungeon already because, at this rate, I'm going to get trapped.
Earlier, Lapiz told me that she set up a location above. I didn't stop her solely because if she uses it, she will lose the bet. Which she ultimately did.

Maybe she was getting a little bit too careful but then again, this dungeon is full of Weird stuff anyways. It was a great decision.
I ran and ran while Inanis clears out the enemies at the front.
The long hallway seems to have no end. It stretches and stretches far too wide for me to even comprehend.
The hallway we first walked on wasn't this long. The walls seem to be repeating the same pattern over and over again.
My only conclusion is that I'm right now in a spatial spell. These spells can be quite tricky to deal with so destroying them with brute force is nigh impossible. Unless you have something in your arsenal that can counter such things.
"Wind: Caeli Remotionem!"
All of a sudden, the walls began to collapse and reality was shattered instantly. The spatial spell was broken by the sheer force of my spell.
I waste no time and immediately got to the real exit. Only to find out that It can't be opened.
I used up all of my strength to destroy it with my hasta Aeris but not even a dent was left behind. The runes are simply that strong.
"Ahh… that spell. I remember now. You were that kid back then. You're… with the hero's party back then right? You were only called by nicknames because you wouldn't reveal your name right?"
He laughs as nostalgia hit him.
"You…" I couldn't let it slide anymore. He knows about my past. At the very least, he knows me personally.
"Why don't you have a seat?" He asks me as he summons a table and chairs made out of bones.
With hesitance, I followed his suggestion.
Offending him will only make things worse. I can confidently say that my strength is higher than his. The only problem is that I am in the middle of the enemy's territory.
Still, I have to be careful. My Caeli Remotionem lets me cancel and ultimately destroy every spell that it touches. Furthermore, I'm activating it every passing second. The only reason I was trapped in the town was that they used my mana against me.
"So… long time no see…"
"Wrath."
"Wrath… that's something new. In exchange, you can call me "marrow". Did you have a rampage on the battlefield to gain that title?"
He's teasing me.
I don't have any recollection nor memories of him. I don't even find him familiar at all. Why does he talk like he knew me for a long time?
"I'm short on time. Just get to the point," I impatiently stated.
"Still… I can't believe you became a god now. All of the years in solitude did pay off."
He ignores my questions and proceeded to be in his own delusional world. My words can't get through his thick skull. I wonder how Lapiz is doing.
"You… have no need of protecting that child anymore Wrath," he said seeing through my face immediately. "I have known you for a long long time, seeing that face of yours is a bad sign. Don't you ever… worry… about those insignificant creatures. It never ends well."
His words slowly pierced through my emotions slowly but surely. He knows everything about me and my personality. Is this some kind of… no, illusions can't be this potent and accurate.
"You know too much about me. Just who are you?"
"Hmm, just a skeleton who wants to give… the enemy of mankind… advice," marrow said, smiling with pure joy. And above all, full of murderous aura.
