Chapter 3: (S1) Ch2: The melancholy

World: Alestra 

Looking at the sky in a normal weather, it is blue. On top of a small hill stood a large estate, a mansion that doesn't look that extravagant because of its simple design, and a flourishing garden displayed with different kinds of flowers. The place is peaceful, too quiet infact. 

*Whoosh* 

Behind the peaceful theme, is where a tragedy currently occurs. In one of the mansion's room, a handsome black haired man, wearing casual noble clothings, is holding the hand of his dead wife lying on the bed.

"Please work!" He cried out, he looks in despair, as green light particles are floating around his hands. He seems to be trying to heal her, using holy magic.

The woman looks pale, not breathing anymore, she clearly doesn't have a life, but the man is still desperately trying to revive her. 

"...this can't be, why..." He was starting to give up, but is still doing everything he can.

"...I am...I am very sorry, my lord...it's my fault..." Said with full of regret by an old lady on the side, while having a newborn on her hands, crying normally after getting born. She is a midwife who helped his wife to give birth, however, she can't handle the stress which caused her death.

"...it's not anyone's fault." After saying that, he forced his tears to stop and wiped his eyes, calming down a bit. He took a deep breath, stood up and faced the midwife as he added. "...can I hold my daughter?"

Without saying a word, the midwife slowly gave the baby to him. He gently embraced the child, and smiled with tears flowing out from his eyes once again.

"You're beautiful, just like your mother..." He said. "...from now on, you'll take over your mother's name, Amira."

...meanwhile, on Amira's mind. 'I can't breathe...'

She is struggling to get oxygen, all she can do is cry for it for now. However, that isn't all she is focusing to. It is the place, it is very unfamiliar. The structure and furnitures of the room looks old fashioned. Still, a newborn already have her own consciousness.

'...who is he?' The former Alex thought, in his view, a guy who seems to be a westerner with black hair is staring at him. He also doesn't understand the language the man speaks, so it's definitely not english. '...why does he look so large?'

Alex also finds how he's crying annoying, but he can't stop it, making him unable to think properly. He moves his hands to scratch his eyes, but he was shock, because it was small. '...is this...my hands?'

He tries to wave his arms, and it seems to follow his commands. Seeing that, he came to a conclusion. '...a dream, huh.'

Above the sky, there are two blue moons, meaning it's night time. Currently, the midwife from earlier is walking to the hallway while bringing a lamp. Sadness can be seen on her expression.

*Swish* Then suddenly, she was sliced into half, also losing her life. However, instead of blood splattering, she turned into ashes, and her body was nowhere to be found.

"I really pity you, but I'll always follow the lord's order." Said by a voice from behind. It was a man wearing a black mask, holding a sword, and he looks like a silhouette. "All I can do is to give you a quick death."

After that, he vanishes, without leaving a trace.
