As much as I wanted to fall asleep, I couldn't. I was just too excited to keep my eyes shut, so instead I walked out of my log cabin and gazed up at the night sky. This site was truly breathtaking, and with the cool wind blowing by nothing could break me from this pleasure. That was until I heard the bushes move. My head instantly turned and I tried to found the source of that sound.
The sound got louder by the second, and I ran for my wooden spear. I kind of wished I had a sharp metal attached to the end of this, so i'd be more threatening.
What ran out of the bush was a rabbit. I could breathe easy now that I spotted that. I was not really hungry at the moment, nor did I have the know-how to hunt. Even with this small creature rushing out of the bushes, I could not find myself wishing to bring it harm. Instead, I ignored it.
Even though I did that, someone else did not have the same mindset as me. I heard something whiz in the air and a second later there was an arrow sticking out of the rabbits side. My eyes grew large, and I readied my spear. Coming from the bush was a woman. She was dark skin with brown eyes and long black hair. She wore fur around her to cover all her private parts, but even then I could still see her underboob. She saw me, then the rabbit.
Behind her back I saw an empty quiver, and an arrow. She opened her mouth to speak, but I understood nothing. Seeing me not respond, she hesitated for a second but then she approached the dead rabbit. I did not move as I was unsure what to do in this situation.
Once she obtained the rabbit's corpse she looked at the building behind me with a puzzled look. I said nothing. She once again opened her mouth to speak and I left her talking to herself.
I guess I was sleepy because I started to yawn. I did not feel safe with her around me, so I stayed on guard. With my minor six years of military training I knew I should not let her be without a watch. Even though I was in the military, I was only in the national guard, meaning I had no combat experience and only minor knowledge of what to do in this type of situation.
When she noticed I was ignoring her completely, she just left. I waited ten minutes after she disappeared to head into my log cabin. There was a lock on it, a very basic one that would not protect me if someone tried to kick open the door. But, it would do for now.
