Chapter 5: Beginning of a new day

Day two of me being in the past. Alone with no one around. I was not thinking about finding other humans, I was more interested in seeing if I could secure myself some food. But for that, I needed to find some stone. Therefore my goal for today, besides finding something to eat, was to find stones. Today I needed a firepit, which was something I could make by hand. I needed a source of water, which could also be a well of some kind. A well is what I planned on creating today, besides some sort of stone knife. As for the last creation, I was unsure if I wanted to make a cart to move food from the forest back to my home or if I wanted some kind of fence for my future garden.

Going into the forest I grabbed my wooden spear for safety. I understood that I was in a place unlike my home, there were no markings to show where I was, no guides on how to get back. So, going into the forest I planned on leaving markings on the trees so I could find my way back home.

Now that I thought about it, my back was kind of sore. Sleeping on the ground was not that comfortable if I was being honest. But I was a long ways away from being able to make any sort of mattress.  Nah, I shouldn't think like that. I could rough this out for a few more days until I found my situation to be better than it was currently.

For now, I had to focus completely on my current task.

As I walked I paid close attention to my surroundings, and every couple of trees I made sure to remove a large piece of bark on the trees. It would be easy for me to spot from a short distance.

After walking for what I considered thirty minutes I located a large pile of stone. They fell from the top of a hill, so I had to make sure to make sure nothing else would fall while I was here. And now that I was here, I took notice of something important. I had to carry these stones back to my camp, which was a thirty minute walk. I was not all skin and bones, there was a bit of muscle on my body. However, I would definitely wear myself out after one round of doing this. I'd rather stress my muscles doing something easier. Thus, I put my power to good use and made a cart.

Using the trees and large stones, I pictured what a primitive cart would look like. How the wheels would be rounded and the cart could be pulled from the front. It was not long before my creation was right in front of my eyes.

With that done I loaded up the cart with stones. Big and small, but I never filled the cart up completely. One because I needed to drag this back home and if it were full i'd have a rough time doing so. Second, to help conserve my stamina.

After that was finished I walked slowly back to my cabin. I had to manuaver through the forest, but after some twists and turns I managed to make my way to my house. Once back I instantly created a well in front of my home. Which did happen, but it was missing something. A rope and bucket. I did not even know if there was water in it, but I could only hope.

With two uses of my power, I still had one remaining. Using my power I took the largest stone I had and molded it into a medium sized knife. It did not look sharp, but it was rough around the edges, however, the handle was sort of smooth.

Now, I needed some kind of food.

Time to gather berries, or some kind of fruit. As for meat, I did not think I would have that luxury today.

As I started to explore a different part of the forest, I noticed some deer in a clearing up ahead. As I poked my head around the corner of a tree, I also spotted the same woman from last night.
