Chapter 62: Can’t reach her!

At the top of the hill, there's a camping site with open ground surrounded by greenery and mother nature.

Around eleven in the morning, the group of seven reached the top and took a breather. Well, because of Mirai, they did halt the track a couple of times, but that wouldn't count.

According to the older woman's perspective, despite being in middle age, she has reached the top in no time, without any break at all.

The hilltop wasn't much crowded, with around a dozen families camping and enjoying their family time.

Yuuta, while carrying Sayuri, went to a site where the view was great, with enough sunlight showering over them to enjoy.

The two maids instantly went for preparation as they took out camping stuff and started arranging it.

Yuuta walked to one of the wooden logs near the place before he steadily kneeled down. With his hand still supporting Sayuri, he asked her to get off.

Sayuri slowly descended from such an adventurous ride, which she might never be able to forget, as she landed on the log.

Sayuri seemed dissatisfied since the comfort on Yuuta's back was extremely warm and cozy. But there was no way she could ask him to carry her all day.

He gave her piggyback for so long was a remarkable feat in itself, which even Hajime praised. Even he would have taken a couple of more halts to carry even such a light person as his daughter.

"You rest here. I will ask Sana to assist you. Do you need something to drink or eat, right now?"

Sayuri instantly got out of her stupor upon hearing Yuuta's words as she immediately shook her head and spoke in a fluster.

"N-No, I am quite fine. And don't trouble Sana-chan. She seems to already have her hands full."

Following her gaze, Yuuta also looked toward the little maid who was actively arranging the camp and moving things in order. She was all around the place but looking at her determined smile;, it seemed she enjoyed what she was doing.

"Well, I am near if you need me for anything."

Sayuri smiled before she nodded in understanding.

After Yuuta dropped Sayuri he went to ask his mother about her feet and whether she was feeling well.

"I am fine, Yuu-chan. You worry a lot."

Said the mother, who had her feet swollen and currently getting massaged by Chigusu .

Yuuta sighed with a smile before he asked the maids to rest as well before they do anything further.

Chigusu assured her considerate master since neither she nor Sana had been exhausted themselves during this whole trip.

Yuuta nodded wordlessly, before he started walking to the other side of the camp for some reason.

"Ah, Yuuta. Are you going somewhere?"

Being asked in the middle of his rush, Yuuta got startled a little before he turned toward his father, who was standing beside Hajime, and replied in a calm tone.

"Just a few calls."

As Toshio nodded, he continued his chat with his friend as Yuuta continued his walk to isolation.

Taking out his phone, Yuuta went directly to the phone directory before he clicked the first number in his speed dial.

But it didn't connect since his network was out of coverage.

'Hmmm… '

Yuuta thought for a couple of seconds about how he could contact Mio, but in the end, he left the thought since he remembered something.

Even though he had the means to talk to her, he decided not to since today was the second day of the Trinity cup, and at this hour, the competition must be in full swing.

Calling her now might distract her from cheering. Or maybe she might not even see her phone?

'Well, I should call her during lunchtime…'

Thinking so, Yuuta pocketed his phone and went back to his family. Little did he know, this decision of his would make him regret it to such an extent….
