Chapter 69: Mother-in-law~2

"Again, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Yuuta Kiriya and I have been dating Mio for a while. Due to my own insensitivity, I prolonged announcing our relationship. So, I apologize for that."

After returning to the living area, after a fulfilling session with Mio, Yuuta introduced himself in front of Mio's guardian in a more detailed manner.

Mio's mother, Yumeko could clearly see the radiance in the young man's eyes and how different he is compared to when he first entered.

"Stop being so formal, Yuuta-kun. I know what it feels like to date in high school. You came to greet me shows how serious you are for Mio. And I couldn't be happier than this."

Yuuta smiled thinly upon getting the acceptance of Mio's mother. Although not evident, he was pretty much nervous about getting rejected since he doesn't have any experience in this field.

Before today, he had thought to bring some gifts and at least look good in order to impress Mio's mother but everything goes well if it ends well.

Or so he thought…

Since they both were standing as they chatted, Yumeko guided Yuuta to the couch as she went to bring some tea.

Mio has been talking to Chihiro on the base and has yet to return.

As she walked back with a tray in her hand she voiced her thoughts which has made her curious since she has heard her daughter dating someone.

"Don't mind me asking but how did you pursue her? I mean seeing my daughter and how she behaves usually, I never thought she could date anyone until she doesn't let go of some of her traits."

Yumeko wasn't just curious here, but also wanted to hear Yuuta's thoughts and the latter could also sense that.

But Yuuta doesn't have to think much or plot what he has to say. His reasoning was clear to love Mio and he was proud to declare it.

"I just confessed my love… um… Abruptly, you can say. Mio was on my mind since the time I saw her but in fear of someone else stealing her away, I got up one day and told her my feelings. In the start, she was quite reluctant because of my past behavior. But slowly her guard melted and things progressed."

Yumeko wasn't unfamiliar with Yuuta since Mio used to talk about a rich bastard bully who used to create trouble for Shio at the starting months of school.

But from what Yumeko had in her mind and what she was seeing in front, she could tell how much Yuuta had changed in so little time.

Him confessing his love in front of the girl's mother was indeed a commendable thing and Yumeko gives a plus point for that.

"So you had to make some decent effort to make her see you."

"Not at all, actually. How beautiful and popular Mio is, I was expecting that I have to pursue her until graduation and I was ready for it. But fortunately, she didn't make me wait and responded to my feelings sooner than I thought."

It wasn't spoken but the meaning behind his words was clear.

The youngster in front was enough dedicated for her daughter to even put hefty enough in his persuasion. And this is very hard in today's era.

Despite having such background and looks, Yuuta never sounded arrogant and each syllable felt genuine.

Yumeko couldn't ask for anything more. She didn't have any demand from the man Mio chooses other than to shower her daughter with utmost affection and love.

And after meeting Yuuta, Yumeko has no complaints about this relationship at all.

"I got all my answers. Thanks, Yuuta-kun."

Yuuta didn't reply just nodded with a soft smile as the older one got up to start making dinner. But only after she called for a certain someone.

"Come out, Mio. It's really impossible for you to hide yourself."

"!!!".
