Chương 88: It’s all good…

Mio was in dilemma to see the two new arrivals in the room when she was rather expecting Yuuta to return.

She was disappointed indeed but she didn’t let it show on her face. Despite the wanted to spend this trip with Yuuta alone, she couldn’t act grumpy all around like a kid.

“So…how come you both are here?”

Hearing her query, Sayuri flinched while holding the hot cup of tea which was soon served after they arrived. It seemed it was Yuuta who ask for the service.

Chihiro took a nervous sip before she confessed the reason she had planned before.

“By chance, I saw Yuuta-kun visiting your house then I saw you guys heading to the station. I felt you guys might be going somewhere fun so I invited Sayuri-san as well.”

Chihiro knew there were a lot of holes in her plot since the time they waited at the railway station was not enough for Sayuri to arrive and follow them all the way. And also, Sayuri didn’t seem to be aware of this story as well, since more than Mio, the silver-haired maiden seemed more surprised.

Chihiro was aware that Mio wouldn’t take the bait since she was as perceptive as Yuuta but she had to try.

But, little did Chihiro think that Mio would see through their plan so clearly.

“Sayuri informed me about Yuu’s departure early in the morning. Then you called Sayuri to my place since I already told you about how Yuu was talking about a trip last night and so you figured we may be leaving the town. Following us up here was something a tremendous stalker can do, so I am rather impressed.”

Cold sweat trailed down the other two’s heads as they heard the precise details they have followed until now to reach this resort.

Mio just sighed as she sipped on her tea while thinking how things have changed between Chihiro and herself. Before today, Mio gossiped without much thought about matters related to Yuuta with her friend but now she had made a mental note relating some certain things.

How can Mio forget that apart from being best friends Chihiro was a rival in her love as well?

“…do you hate me now, Mio?”

Chihiro with her gaze unfocused asked with her head leaning forward in shame. She knew she would have chased them again if she were to send back in time, but the guilt which aroused soiling her friend’s trip was not something Chihiro enjoyed at all.

Mio despite being in a heavy mood previously wasn’t heartless to let her friend grief in such a way after putting down the cup Mio approached the black-haired girl and held her hand fondly.

“I know why you are here, Chi-chan and if I say I am happy then I might have questioned my own love for Yuu. But taking away that matter I am happy that I can spend holidays with my best friend and make memories together. You too, Sayuri. Let’s enjoy the vacation together, okay?”

Sayuri was flabbergasted to see how smoothly Mio could handle situations and lighten up the atmosphere whenever she wants.

In a daze, she nodded her head before the focus returned to Chihiro who still had her face leaning down.

For several seconds Chihiro seemed to be in deep thought before she lifted her tear-trailing face and instantly hugged the girl in front.

Mio was startled by such a sudden outburst but she caught her friend safely as she heard her wailing so heartily after so long.

Mio can only sigh in resignation as she patted her friend while trying to coax her.

“There~There…”

After bidding farewell to the man who escorted Mio and Yuuta to the escort, Yuuta gave a phone call to his mother before he returned to his room.

The scene inside fortunately seemed more relaxed and the smile on Mio’s lips didn’t seem fake which relieved him the most.

There were traces of tears on Chihiro’s cheeks but he decided to not pry about the matter which he shouldn’t as he directed his gaze toward the third girl.

“You told mom, that you are with me huh? What if I had sent you two away or you guys have lost track of us?”

Sayuri pouted being picked upon like this since she had her confidence to not get lost in just some hour's journey.

“What could I have done? You know how protective Kaa-san is. Do you think she would have let me go if I didn’t have brought your name in the persuasion?”

Sayuri retorted since she didn’t have any other option but to tell the partial truth that she would be with Yuuta.

Mio and Chihiro instantly glared at Sayuri upon hearing how she regarded Yuuta’s mother but the other party was clueless…or she pretended to be.

Yuuta sighed and said nothing more on the matter.

“You two go and register your name at the reception since it is required for security purposes.”

Sayuri and Chihiro nodded before they finished their drinks and walked away.
Left behind, Yuuta sat behind Mio before he embraced the beauty in a tight hold.

Mio got comfortable in his arms as she heard something she was expecting.

“Are you okay with them being here?”

Mio thought for a second knowing full well what Yuuta might do depending on her response.
Warmly she replied what seemed best for the situation.

“Yeah, it’s all good. I have something to settle with the two as well… so it’s all good…”
