[Arata's POV]

I have been dreaming of something strange lately. Something which I can tell no one since I know they will never believe me.

But I know these dreams have some relevant meaning hidden related to me and the people around me.

Sometimes it's just hazy thoughts and sometimes I feel vivid images flashing in those dreams in which I don't remain myself.

My limbs, my face, my voice nothing remains the same. All in all, I feel like I am possessing someone else's body yet not having any kind of control over it.

Those memories belonged to a boy of the same age as me. But there are various things that made me baffled. Like how come they have devices that help them communicate with anyone without using Soul Energy? And why their habitat seemed so peaceful and devoid of any danger.

But other than anything that made me fascinated the most was the information I got to know from those dreams.

Through what I understood from the boy I possess in my sleep, I am a character of a fictional world or sort with the things which I believe to be my reality, showcased as fantasy in those books.

It certainly wasn't clear how they knew about me and my beloved people, but there were certain things that I discerned that belonged to the future.

Crazy right?

I wasn't particularly reading those books, rather I just gathered information from the boy whose body I overtake.

At first, I thought that an overload of mana has been making me see those things so I just took those dreams casually.

But one after another, the future predicament started to come true which made me completely astonished.

Like the event during the orientation ceremony or when I first went for my expedition.

I already knew that during Orientation, I would be targetted by some seniors so I just skipped such a scenario. And also during the first Temple Raid, when I got assigned to a random team, I dodged a massive ordeal that might have cost my life.

But the most recent event which made me realize that these dreams are true was when I suddenly got the memory of my childhood friend Serena getting ra*ed by the Studnet Council President.

I had enough confidence in these memories to barge into his estate and I indeed felt Serena's Soul Energy from there through my heightened Appraising Skills.

Serene pleaded with me to leave the mansion because of my own good but I still have a grudge to settle with that bastard President.

And not only that, but from what I have seen these days, it seems the bespectacled asshole is going to trouble me in the future too. He will again target my friends and get near to the girls whom I love or will eventually get close to.

Fortunately, I have these dreams every night which have provided me with enough intel to counter any kind of plan that the bastard would try to plot against me.

"Is everything okay, Aru-kun? You don't look good."

I got out of my reverie as I heard Serena's voice from the other side of the table. Since entering the Academy we have been eating breakfast together but here I got dwelled in my own world which was filled with hatred for a certain someone.

Refocusing my gaze I found my beloved friend looking at me with genuine concern blended in her eyes. She never fails to take my breath away even with those small gestures.

I really love her.

Gliding my hand over hers I assured my worry wart, Serena.

"Don't worry, I won't let you get hurt anymore."

[Seth's POV]

'Man, this is troubling…'

It was nearly seven in the morning and as yesterday, I was getting cleaned up to down.

A sigh leaked out my lips as I remembered the letter that mother a.k Duchess Valarie sent me.

It was Lara who informed the Duchess that I ain't planning on returning home this vacation even though I wanted to keep it secret.

Now my over-dramatic mother is threatening me to return otherwise she will commit suicide or sort. And more to it, she even sent a Soul Bond with it which stated her words weren't just a shallow threat.

She is one hell of a son-con.

I have no option rather than to go and face the annoying chattering about my broken engagement. Well, I was anxious as well to meet someone whom I can call mother for the first time but still, she is too much of a bothersome parent.

I don't know how the original Seth used to handle her since there were only some instances when Duchess was involved in the story. Mostly when Seth had to misuse his power as a Dukedom firstborn.

"Are you still upset, young master?"

Oh yeah, Lara is the one who is washing me today along with another maid as it seemed she came here to ask my forgiveness.

Seriously, I would have kicked her out for what she had done but my mother would plant another messenger in her stead. And also, I need Lara.

"Upset would be an understatement."

Lara's hand halted with her gaze falling down as she remained knelt between my legs. Seriously, the sight of the brunette big-busted maid kneeling with her face just centimeters away from my prince was enthralling.

But I can't forgive her just because she looks tamable and innocent in a dangerous way. I have a reputation to maintain after all.

"I see… if it's like that then there is no point in living this life anymore… "

My gaze widened as out of nowhere, Lara pulled out a dagger and after holding it with her both hands she pushed it toward her neck!

"Lara, no!"
