[3rd Person POV:]
There was evident bewilderment on Ciel's face as she heard the President nonchalantly announcing that they were trapped.
It wasn't much longer since they left the mansion in the carriage when Ciel noticed that the carriage wasn't clearing any distance at all, rather it seemed to be moving at the same place. It would have been hard for a lower-ranking warrior to judge the situation this early on but Ciel was no amateur.
However, what made her troubled was the response of Seth who was leaning back on his seat, like this was fated to happen and he has no take in this situation at all.
However, she didn't dare to misjudge President's wits and speak anything recklessly. She might be one of the closest person to Seth and being with him for this long has made her aware of his capabilities.
She believes in him.
'Hmmm? '
Upon seeing how relaxed Ciel grew just in some moments, which signified her trust in him, Seth became slightly overwhelmed. Well, not like he was going to let her get hurt in the first place.
"Brad…you may stop."
"Understood, Young Master."
As Seth commanded his coachman in a slightly higher pitch, the wheels of the carriage slowed down before it steadily came to a halt.
Seth stacked his bag in his storage ring before he glanced at Ciel and jumped out of the carriage and offered his hand to the lady.
Ciel unhesitantly took his hand and steadily, she also got down with a serene smile spreading on her lips.
However, soon her smile faded as she felt a dozen of presence around her. She never felt anyone around them before but now, she discerned that there was a high-ranking illusionist somewhere near them.
"Should I take care of them for you, young master?"
"!!!"
Ciel jumped back on her feet as the voice of a third person approached abruptly for her to even notice. Turning her gaze, she found a man in his late forties with lean stature and wearing a three-piece black and white suit, standing there.
He must be the coachman.
"No, Brad. You just protect the lady."
"Understood, my lord."
Ciel wanted to rebuke since there was no way she would be watching from the sidelines and let Seth all by himself. But before she could even move a bit, a sudden chill of dizziness spread all over her.
'This sensation… '
She knew it was an Energy Restrictor. An artifact that restricts the usage of one's soul energy to a certain extent. It can be both types, AOE and Particular directive.
And she knew the one being used here was particularly directed at the three. However, unlike her who was unable to keep her feet steady on the ground because of the effect, both men had a calm expression ever since.
She bit her lips in annoyance since even being trained for so many years and having the determination to serve the President with her utmost potential, she couldn't keep herself composed against a mere artifact.
"Don't push it."
It was the last words she heard from Seth which made her wide-eyed before the green-haired boy disappeared from his place and appeared a few meters ahead of where they were standing.
*DHAK**

"KHWAK!!"
It was the cry of the shrouded man who was not there until Seth punched his guts. The punch was solely packed with his raw strength, however, it was a punch from a high ranker which was enough for the man to lose consciousness.
The reason Seth picked this man despite he felt almost thirteen more people around him was because this person seemed to be the Illusionist. Soul Energy was only channelizing from this direction while the others seemed to be trying to suppress their presence.
And just right to his guess, every other ambusher started to appear one after another.
Ciel was startled to see that there were more people than she primarily anticipated. But rather than stay still at her spot, she couldn't do anything, in fear of interrupting the President.
Seth didn't take any chance and moved swiftly toward the person who held the Soul Restrictor artifact in hand which was shaped like a lantern.
**SLING**
But before Seth could have attacked the flustered man holding the artifact, someone swung his blade and brought Seth to an abrupt halt.
Apart from eyes and the region beneath forearms, nothing was visible of the ambusher. Not like Seth cared about their appearance.
'It's good I took this before leaving… '
Seth took out a pair of daggers that he stored in his ring just today. Since the previous owner of the body didn't have much liking for weapons, he only relied on his mage skills.
The daggers were of course of High grade and have an added skill of inflicting poison whenever met with the blood of anyone other than its preset master. Pretty intelligent to say.
Gripping the two short blades in a front grip, Seth approached the man with lightning pace, showcasing how good he was at enhancing his limbs with Soul Energy, before he appeared just before the swordsman.
**Clang**
The shrouded guy was no layman either. Sensing the approaching danger, he sliced his sword but was met with a pair of unbreakable holds on his blade which was still in the middle of being complete its strike.
"Hnng!"
Seth didn't let the man complete his swing before he crossed his dagger and held the sword. Without waiting for another blink, he twirled his daggers and repelled the sword masterfully.
The man was astonished by how hastily the bespectacled boy was moving but before he could have collected himself, a stinging sensation ran across his knees before he saw himself falling involuntarily.
"Eh? AAHHHHH!!"
A faint gasp of confusion was followed by screams of agony as the man finally realized that his both legs has been separated mercilessly by a boy who was supposed to be a mage not an assassin!
Ciel, as well as Brad's eyes, were wide as they gazed upon the scene unfolding in front. It was known widely that the President of Pristine Academy was proficient with only wizardry.
But what they saw through those prompt and fluent movements, they were sure that there was more to be expected from the young man.
On the other side, Seth jerked his daggers to get rid of the filth as he eyed his next targets.
'What a tremendous way to start a day… '
