The indoor gymnasium of Pristine Academy was divided into several parts to provide necessary facilities to future humanity saviors.
Just after the entrance was a wide hall that had fifty arenas arranged neatly with proper distance between them and guards along with weapons lived at different sides.
It is the place where the spar of the first year and third years took place. Since it was break time, the hall was almost abandoned except for the over enthusiast muscles heads who like to train all day long.
Among them, there was a sophomore as well whom Seth recognized as Vice-President Minora's lover. Of course, he wasn't going to greet him or anything. At the moment Seth wanted anything but any more attention he already got.
Fortunately, their eyes didn't fall on Seth as the latter mentioned quickly walked to the next section of the gymnasium.
The second part was relatively smaller as this place was dedicated to wizardry. Numerous training dolls were lined up in a corner along with other equipment.
There were some artifacts like Soul Enhancer and tools for artifact creations were also for practical tutelage.
Seth did want to practice his skill here but right now he found it more appealing to practice in solitary. There was a chance for someone to walk in and see Seth practicing beginner-rank spells which may further lead to something frustrating. So he chose ro remain low-key for the time being.
However, before Seth could have moved to the separate compartment which provides personal space, he felt a chill running down his spine.
It was just on pure instincts that Seth crouched down before a heavy gust of wind followed by a teenager flew over his head with his leg intentionally bent to knock Seth out.
*DHAK*
Arata was trying to ambush the man from the back and hit his knee on the back of Seth's head but he failed and landed some meters apart from his target.
Seth narrowed his gaze before standing back straight. He did expect that Arata would confront him someday but attacking this soon meant only one thing.
'He must have seen me and Anabelle together… '
There was a lot to ponder since as if now, Arata shouldn't have any feelings toward the main female lead, and other than Anabelle, Seth has interacted with no other heroine.
But whatever the reason was, looking at Arata's expression it didn't seem he would be backing down without a fight.
"I think I underestimated you Prez and held back more than I should have."
Arata wasn't just standing there lazily as he spoke those words. Since he landed just beside the shelves of artifacts, Arata thought of a plan and glided his hand over a small orb that was carved with cyan-shade crystals.
Seth knew what Arata was going to do. The artifact he was intending to use was a barrier type and Seth felt fortunate that Arata was going for that tool.
"I hope you know the consequences of attacking your senior."
Seth's tone drooped in degrees as he stared without any waver in his standing. Arata might be a superior warrior when it came to weapons but with that barrier…
**CLICK**
….he lost his advantage.
"I am not going to let you play your mind games, Seth Albeck."
Arata growled under his breath as he threw the orb before a translucent dome of a hundred-meter radius covered the two. The distinct feature of this artifact was the restriction it puts on one's Soul Energy.
From Arata's perspective, Seth's strength lies in his psychic abilities that's why he decided to take down the arena on his(Arata) terms.
However, he was insanely mistaken here.
If Arata would have fought using his Soul Energy then there was a huge chance of Seth losing after some blows. The protagonist has practiced enhancement since his childhood after all.

But now…
"I officially challenge you, President. If I win here, you won't be going anywhere near Serena, Anna, and Laila-senpai. However, if you win… I will publicly apologize to you in front of the whole school."
Seth had no interest in being compensated or anything. And the price for his loss was something, Seth himself wanted. He just cared about Haruka and other than her he doesn't look for any single another soul.
However, it doesn't mean, when proposed with a challenge Seth was going to decline or hold back just because he was facing the protagonist.
It wasn't the original Seth at the moment but the boy who has been trained to never step out of the ring with a defeated tag over his head. The person who has been instilled with pride and forged with arrogance when it came to battle.
'Hah… curse that old man… '
Seth took off his glasses before throwing them in random directions and taking a proper martial art stance as he faced the hero.
Arata was slightly taken aback since, in the practice spar, Seth never seemed this serious even though he was facing the mighty Kevin in combat.
However, it wasn't going to diminish Arata's motive to defeat this bastard and put a complete block between Seth and his lovers.
"Come, Prez. Today, I will make sure that you never look at those who belong to someone else."
_______________
In the evening nearly at four, the second shift of the re-evaluation test concluded.
Annabelle and Serena were allotted the second shift but they didn't meet each other in the afternoon.
Serena was already in the school, getting some tips from a senior professor that's why she told Arata to meet in the evening after her exams finishes.
'I hope we get to pass through this….'
While praying for herself and Arata, Serena walked out of the classroom with a slightly tired expression. Since everyone was exhausted, no one nagged Serena to accompany them.
Serena was planning to meet Arata in the outdoor cafeteria when her gaze suddenly fell on a certain familiar girl standing opposite the entrance of the classroom.
"Laila-senpai?"
There was evident anxiety spread on Laila's face when she suddenly snapped back to reality upon heading a familiar tone.
"Ah, Serena… "
The older girl walked to Serena before she hurriedly pulled her hand and urged the girl to walk along with her.
"Come with me, right now. It's urgent."
Serena didn't protest but there was a clear perplexion written over her face. But Laila's following words numbed all her thoughts in an instant.
"Arata-Kun…is heavily injured…"
