Chapter 6: Author’s Notes 01: Redrafting & Review

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to writing and for this novel I took one of my less serious novel ideas and just said screw it, start writing it. I never really expected anyone to read these few chapters but I've been surprised. However, this has sort of been a rough draft, like how pointed out I did not really put much thought into this. A lot of what I've written can be condensed or conveyed more clearly, and I don't want to write myself into a wall, as writing Succubus God's Genius Disciple has turned out to be quite fun. I also rushed into a lot of things very quickly and felt my three character's individual personality's were too bland, I quite literally just started writing something, then figured I'd post it to see what happens. 

I thought about just doing a bunch of editing, but the level of editing I want to do after reading over what I've got here, would be faster to accomplish as a plain rewrite. I'll be updating the title to Succubus Goddess's Genius Disciple, changing Archer's race to Incubus, and using succubi, not succubae like Sampling told me lmao. I'll be writing a draft to replace each chapter, and I don't know if I will delete & replace, or swap the existing content yet because I can't find an unpublish button. In the meantime, all chapters will remain the same until I'm done with this.

I would really appreciate feedback or good references/examples of how something could have been written better, I might be able to do it over the weekend here, if not at most by the next. I'd like this to be a project with a stable foundation that I can easily be continually working on into the future. I would especially like some examples of very well written smut to help broaden my perspective, I felt quite cringey and limited writing the few scenes. Yet most of the novel will revolve around Archer's sex life as the sole Incubus, so it's very important I work to improve on this front.

thank you for making me stop and reflect on my lack of effort. I look forward to hearing what else you think if you can tolerate my work enough to write me some more tips.  You lowkey made me feel terrible because I could have written the prologue a lot better but I was little too excited, wanting to rush to all the juicy stuff so I half-assed it. I suppose you both embarrassed me from different angles, but your unexpected feedback has inspired me, thank you. (^_^)

Overall, thank you to everyone who's read the now rough draft of Succubus Goddess's Genius Disciple! I'll be back to writing new content shortly once this rewriting phase is complete. In all likelihood, I should be able to continue with ~1 chapter/day to 1 chapter/2 days based on this test run until I get better.
