“W-w-what is that?” Aya got up in panic the moment she noticed that the small monster was coming this way. Her voice was trembling as well while cold sweat was coming out of her body. I pulled my arm on the side, telling Aya that she should walk back a little bit. I didn't want her to get caught up in this.

“A-Are you going to be okay? G-ghost-san?” I'm glad that she is worried about me, but she should be more worried about herself since I can't get injured in the first place. I turned around and smiled at her while showing a thumbs up. She was looking at me with her trembling eyes. Her expression was enough to give me the courage to do anything. As I floated a bit forward, the rabbit turned its head towards me.

It noticed me! This way I can distract the rabbit away from Aya. The rabbit jumped towards me really fast. The way it moved was really fast and I could already tell that this rabbit was nowhere close to a normal one from Earth.

“G-ghost-san! Be careful!!” Aya looked at me worried, thinking I was injured. But even if that rabbit jumped towards me, it would pass through my body as if I was nothing more but an illusion.  The rabbit continued jumping through me without a break. Sometimes it would crush its head on the dungeon's walls and sometimes it would direct its jumps towards my head. The first few times I got startled from that rabbit jumping towards me like that. The way this rabbit attacked was simple, but threatening if someone didn't dodge it. Thankfully the rabbit was only focused on me and not Aya.  But staying like this until the rabbit gets tired won't be a great idea. I mean it's the safest choice, but we won't know how long we're gonna spend inside this place.

We could spend days here, maybe months or worse… spending countless years in hope of getting out of this dungeon one day. Maybe I should try killing the rabbit by possessing it…

I didn't want to do this again since I had any other choice.  I possessed the rabbit when it jumped towards me again. Just like usual, I felt my body shrinking when I possessed the rabbits. My field of vision got smaller and everything around me had become the color of dark red. I didn't have time to wonder why I was like this so I immediately jumped towards the wall and tried hitting the rabbit's head as hard as I could.

“Squeeeeek!!!” The rabbit released a voice from the pain caused from it. Of course, I could feel the pain on the rabbit's head as well. It felt as if my head was split open. When I tried looking if Aya was still okay, I noticed that there were three Aya's.

Basic information: A wandering dungeon rabbit.

Now that I was possessing this rabbit, its Status came up after a few seconds. I couldn't focus clearly because of the headache I was having. Based on Aya's status, this rabbit is three times stronger than her. And If I compare this kind of strength with humans from earth, this rabbit would be almost as strong as a human male. This rabbit is a truly dangerous creature if someone underestimates this kind of monster. I could feel that the rabbit wanted to take back control of its own body. I no longer could control the forelegs of this rabbit. I need to hurry up and finish this rabbit off! I thought as I used the hind legs to jump towards the wall once again and smashed the head as hard as I could.

“Squeeeeek!!” I didn't feel as much pain as last time, I just felt as If I was about to puke even though I couldn't! Breathing was becoming really hard and I couldn't focus on anything.  I couldn't understand what happened to my field of vision, but there was a crack as if my eyes were made out of glass. The rabbit was slowly taking control of the other parts of its body. I already knew that I had to do something really fast or this rabbit would attack Aya. My eyes were slowly darkening and I could barely concentrate, but before I completely lost control of the body, I caught a small glance of the torch lightening a part of this dungeon.

This will hurt you a lot! I thought as I jumped towards the torch.

“Hya!” Aya took some steps behind from the way this rabbit jumped. I successfully managed to land myself at the flaming part of the torch. I wasn't able to stay too long when hanging at the torch, but that was enough for the rabbit to catch on fire.

“SQUEEEEEK!!!!” The fire was spreading all over its fur, and I already could feel the burning parts of its body. When I was back on Earth, I accidentally burned my finger and it was painful. I wanted to yell at my past self for complaining about that kind of burn. The pain of being burned alive was nowhere near compared to accidentally burning a bit of your finger. It felt like my body was being burnt from the insides as well. I couldn't breathe anymore and my lungs felt like they were about to explode.

“SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!” The rabbit was in great pain as it was releasing pained noises caused by this. The rabbit continued burning for some more seconds before it passed out from the pain. I also got out of the rabbit’s body, relieving me from all of the pain I was feeling.

“G-ghost-san, did you do that?” I nodded at Aya’s question. But I was a bit confused about what happened. Even though I couldn't feel any physical pain in this form, I still felt like I was on fire. The feeling of being burned alive was in my memories now.

“I’m g-glad, you suddenly went inside that rabbit’s body, and I thought you disappeared.” She said while looking at me with her worried eyes. Oh, that's right, this is the first time Aya looked at me while I was possessing another living thing. I went near Aya and gently rubbed her head. She looked up at me without moving her head from that kind of position. The way she was looking at me made my spiritual heart skip a beat. When I looked back at the rabbit, I noticed that its body wasn’t twitching anymore from being burned alive.

Now that the rabbit was burned to death, it seems like two of my skills have leveled up. The first one was “Possessing” and the other one was ‘Night vision’.

What about my status?

Wait, huh? It didn't change at all? Why is that?

“G-ghost-san?” She called out to me as I was looking at my status. I turned towards Aya and possessed her. Thinking about this kind of thing right now won’t help, that's why I decided to keep moving forward.

The dungeon had plenty of torches hanging on the walls so it wasn’t too dark to look around. I could feel Aya’s body slightly nervous as we continued walking, but what other choice did we have? After we walked for some time, I started hearing noises coming towards us. The sounds were similar to that of a rabbit jumping. There’s one more rabbit coming- wait no, there is more than one rabbit coming!

I tried ignoring the level-up screen and tried concentrating on the two rabbits that were coming towards us. The rabbits were charging towards Aya. I immediately got out of Aya’s body and possessed one of the rabbits. The moment I possessed the rabbit, I felt the rabbit’s resistance weaker compared to the first rabbit that I killed. This must be thanks to leveling up.

I thought as I charged to the rabbit next to me. I didn't have any fingers to grab the other rabbit, that's why I decided to bite its neck.

“SQUEEEEEK!!!!” The other rabbit released squeaking noises as It was trying to get away from me. But luckily, the front teeth I was using had been nailed inside the neck of the other rabbit. Struggling in this kind of situation only causes more damage to the rabbit. And as I continued to reach deeper inside its neck, the rabbit stopped moving. Now that one of the rabbits was dead, I jumped towards the torch once again, until the rabbit caught on fire and in the end, burned to death.

Even after defeating two other rabbits, my status didn't change at all. We continued going deeper inside this dungeon and I with the same tactic killed two more rabbits before arriving at a dead end.

Is this it? Wasn't there supposed to be an exit or something? Did I miss something? I thought as I was about to go through the wall in front of me.

“Ghost-san, there are some stairs this way.” She said while pointing to my side where there were stairs that seemed to lead to a lower floor. The stairs were a bit broken at some parts and it can be dangerous if someone accidentally slipped here. Just to make sure Aya doesn't get careless, I possessed her and made sure she wouldn't trip.
