“Guards. Have him executed!” The king glared at the young boy whose face changed into a twisted one in despair the moment he heard the order.
“Y-your majesty! P-please hear me out!” The boy begged as he raised his head, only to meet an angered looking king who didn't seem pleased at all. “I didn't do any of this! You have to trust me!”
I knew that this would be game over for the young merchant over there, since the politics in this country were all managed by the king. And having someone executed would be no surprise.
On my side I could see a relieved looking Theresa and a slightly worried Aya who were taking glances at the blonde merchant who was trying to convince the king to listen to him.
“You still dare bark lies from your mouth! Be quiet and pay for all of the crimes that you have committed!” The prime minister who was standing next to the king, yelled at the merchant who still hadn't accepted his defeat.
And as the guards grabbed the young boy on each of his arms, they began dragging him away even though the boy was fighting back to get one last talk with the king.
“N-No! Y-your majesty! Please hear me out!” The boy cried with all of his might at the terrifying fate that was awaiting him.
No matter how many connections or money the blonde merchant had, there was basically nothing that would save him.
“Sigh…” But before they could pull the young merchant away from the room, I walked in front of the guards in order to prevent them from taking him away.
“Let's not rush things here.” I calmly said to the guards who didn't seem pleased to be interrupted from doing their job.
“Move out the way!” One of the guards ordered as they were holding the boy’s arm without any mercy.
Even the whole room became quiet in confusion on what I was doing.
[ Hiroki, what are you doing?! Come back here! ] Theresa called out to me in worry as cold sweat was dripping down her face.
“.....”
“What is the meaning of this?” The king asked with a baffled expression on his face.
But I knew that the king was going to listen to what I had to say, that's why I took this sudden decision.
“Can you spare him from the execution?” I requested as I looked back at him while still standing in the way of the guards who were waiting for further orders from the king.
“....” There was a gap of silence between me and the king before his eyes narrowed to slit at my ridiculous sudden request that probably confused everyone in this room.
“Such contempt!” The prime minister cursed under his breath from me disobeying the king’s order.
“I’m not in the mood right now. So you better explain why I have to spare the life of someone who not only harmed my country, but also my son!”
When the king let out a killing intent, everyone looked back at me, expecting a well-explained justification for my request.
But now I can understand why the king is this mad.
This dumbass over here not only stole my coffee, but also tried selling it using my name.
Well, that's what he gets for stealing my original creation in this world.
"I believe that executing that kid over there will cause quite the trouble over this kingdom."
Even though I wanted to be a bit more ambiguous, the king didn't seem to be that patient while his eyes held impatience and annoyance.
"I do not want to cause any commotion, that's why I'll briefly explain why killing that boy will lower the capital in the entire kingdom."
"Lower capital?! Are you insane? You dare use that excuse to g–"
"Fermin!"
The prime minister glared at me in rage before he was interrupted by the king who glanced back at him.
"I'm sorry for my rudeness, your majesty."
And after the dog stopped barking every time something was said, the king looked back at me. "Continue."
"Thank you." I slightly closed my eyes before looking down at the dejected blonde merchant. "I have quite some information from different merchants, mongers, and traders who have explained how that kid over there had connections through the entire kingdom and outside it. That's why I believe that killing him will bring a great decrease in income in the kingdom."
The king’s eyes narrowed even more as he was carefully listening to me.
"Many shops owned by him will close down. And many other kingdoms might even break their alliance because of the sudden stop in trades from our country. This might even cause a war if not taken seriously."
"That's b–!!"
The prime minister's eyes went all glaring at me–
"Fermin! I told you to be quiet!"
–But before he could even finish what he had to say, the king called out his name with a powerful tone in his voice.
"...."
"...And this will cause quite the trouble to the merchant's guild as well since many merchants are already quitting their job because of this kid over here. So what do you think will happen when all of the merchants close down?"
Many people could be heard talking over one another before the king gave another glare at the blonde merchant.
"Your majesty." Theresa suddenly called out to the king while still keeping her head down.
"Do you have something to say, Richard's daughter?" The king asked.
"If I may. Me and my companions may be able to help the illness that your son is going through." Theresa said with a confident tone.
The king fell down into his thoughts for a bit before glancing back at where I was standing. “I understand. If you’re the one saying that, then I’m willing to entrust you with my son’s recovery.”
“Thank you.” Theresa lowered her head in respect once again at the king’s trust on Theresa’s connection with her father.

Right now, me and the girls were brought into a room where the prince was supposedly staying.
While the king told us he was going to deal with some things before coming here as well, we were led by one of the maids of this castle-like place.
“In here.” The maid softly bowed her head as she opened the main room where the prince was sleeping.
From what we could tell, the place inside smelled really bad to the point I thought that this was some uncleaned bathroom.
“May I know the symptoms?” I asked the maid that was taking care of the prince beside the bed the moment I carefully entered the room.
“Ah, y-yes. The prince is… having trouble with his stomach, causing many accidents.” The maid explained in a way that didn't seem too dirty or offensive in any kind of way.
And I could understand why she would be acting that way. She is talking about the prince after all.
“Anything else?”
The maid clenched her own cloth after I asked her the question.
“He also has a high fever, causing him to sweat a lot.”
“I understand. We were given permission by the king to help the prince. I believe that you’re already aware of that?” I asked in order to make sure I wasn't going to cause any kind of misunderstanding between the staff of this place.
“Yes, please help the prince.”
…
While ignoring the horrible stench of shit all over the room, I got closer to where the prince was sleeping and tried seeing his conditions with my own eyes.

His status isn't showing anything related to the side effects to what he drank, but based on his reactions alone, I might have a gist of what is going on.
Aside from terrible diarrhea, the prince is having dehydration and constant pain in his stomach.
I’m surprised that he hasn't thrown up even once after consuming some harmful drink. The immune system on his body must be really weird for it to have poison accepted that easily.
“Aya, can you bring out the thing?” I asked Aya as she was quietly following me and Theresa.
“Y-yes!”
She seemed a bit nervous about being right here, but right now we really need to get out of this mess. Since I couldn't touch anything, and didn’t want to expose myself to those maids, I asked Aya to do this instead of me.
“Aya, do you need help?” Theresa asked, a bit concerned about whether Aya could manage to do this or not.
“No, I can do this much.” And after taking out a premade coffee contained in a bottle, she slowly reached towards the prince and gently held his head so he could drink it with ease.
At first he barely managed to gulp it down, but the moment he had the first taste of the warm coffee, he regained the strength to drink the rest of it.
"Ah, the prince is drinking!" One of the maids gasped in surprise and relief when she saw the prince drink the coffee.
"A miracle!"
And while trying to ignore the relieved maids who wouldn't have to clean the prince's shit anymore, I noticed how his conditions were getting better.
He didn't seem to pant or groan in pain anymore and his pale skin was beginning to gain back its natural color.
“It's working.” Aya exclaimed at how the price was recovering after she managed to make him drink the coffee.
….
…
After everyone confirmed the prince’s health condition, we were asked to attend to the king once again.
Right in the same hall, were me and the girls. And somewhere far from our side was the blonde merchant who seemed to have gotten beaten up..
“I’m thankful for what you’ve done. If there’s something that you wish for, then feel free to ask.” The king told us after receiving the news about his son’s recovery.
“I don’t have any other wish other than allowing me to continue selling the drink that I have created.” I immediately responded as I didn't want to reject or take any more advantage of the king for the time being.
But after hearing what I was requesting of him, the king pondered before looking at me.
“I understand. I shall allow the continuation of spreading your drink all over my kingdom.” The king acknowledged with his proud looking eyes that seemed to have considered everything.
I was a bit surprised that the king accepted my request this fast. I was sure that he was going to question me a bit further about the cause that almost killed his own son.
“Don’t be surprised.” The king laid his chin over his wrist. “After helping my son, I was fully convinced that your drink called coffee was the real deal. Actually, your new popular drink was the reason my son came to the town, but as you can see, this was the result. But leaving that aside for the moment…
Richard’s daughter.”
“Yes!” Theresa responded with a loud and deep voice at the king’s calling.
“What do you want as a reward? It was thanks to you that I could fully trust the man you have chosen over there after all.”
Theresa’s face slightly blushed as she still kept her head down in a bit of embarrassment. “My wish is nothing more than Hiroki’s wish.”
“I understand…
What about you?” The king glanced at Aya who was nervous to even move an inch.

“H-Hiroki’s happiness is my happiness. I do not wish for anything else other than Hiroki’s happiness.” Aya politely responded with a voice that showed how nervous she actually was.
That side of her was actually cute, but I wish that she could get better at interacting with someone else. I feel like she would become more confident and really gentle with the way she talked.
“Haa…” The king let out a troubled sigh before directing his sight towards the beaten blonde merchant who had his head down in fear and shame about his current situation.
“Albrim’s son.”
“Y-y-yes!” The blonde merchant stuttered in fear while trying to sound respectful towards the king.
“Starting today you’ll be giving your status and business connections to that man over there.” The king stated as he glanced towards me. “Everything you own will be managed by him in exchange for your life and freedom.”
“Y-your majest–”
“Quiet! And if I receive any more information that you are abusing your status in my kingdom. Then even god won't be able to save you from death.” The king declared with a coldhearted voice while continuing to glare at the merchant boy.
But I feel like this is going to be a little troublesome since I don't want to spend most of my time doing paperwork, stuck in the same room.
I’m not human anymore, so I feel like having that kind of work and status will hold me back in many ways.
“Excuse me, your majesty.” I called out to the king before he could make up his mind with that idea of his.
“What is it? Is your reward not enough for you?” The king asked.
“No, that's not it. I’m honored to receive such an amazing status and advancement as a merchant. But I feel like this is going to hold me back from what I’m trying to do with my life.” I explained while trying not to sound disrespectful about the decision he had made. “I wish to travel into different towns and places, also discovering new things I could use to make useful drinks. That's why I can not take everything that boy over there owns.”
The king slowly closed his eyes for a moment before making his final decision.
“Alright, I’ve made my decision.” The king said with an unswerving look on his face. “Albrim’s son. You’ll be allowed to continue working with your own business.”
The blonde merchant’s eyes widened at the sudden decision as hope was coming back into his face.
“T-thank you very much, your majesty!” The blonde merchant lowered his head to the point of touching the floor about the return of his own status as a merchant.
“But.”
But seeing how the king wasn't done yet, it seems like there’s more to what he had to say about his status.
“Everything that you’ll do and earn will be shared with Hiroki. If there’s something that is dissatisfying, or if he disapproves, you’ll listen to him. This is my final decision. Are there any more complaints?” The king looked towards us, expecting no complaints.
“N-not at all, your majesty. Thank you for your generosity.” The blonde merchant responded, glad that at least he was able to get away with his life and what was left from his business as a merchant.
"Good, then you're all dismissed."
.
..
…
After we all left the main hall, me and the girls were about to return to our house before the blonde merchant called out to me.
"Why did you defend me?" He asked while keeping his head down in shame.
"I did explain why I saved you, didn't I?"
The blonde merchant gritted his teeth before looking me in the eyes. "That's not what I'm talking about. You could’ve had everything I owned but you choose not to! That's what's making me confused."
I can understand what he's trying to say but I already have told his answer in front of the king. He simply refuses to accept it.
"That's because Hiroki is kind." Aya gave a soft glare about her sudden confusion while trying to tell the answer that the boy was seeking.
Both Theresa and the small dragon were looking with softened looks on their eyes at the cuteness Aya was showing.
"I see… kindness, huh…" The blonde merchant mumbled.
"But I do have a question for you now that I have the chance."
"What is it?" The blonde merchant looked at me from the sudden question.
"I do understand that you'll do anything to become even more successful with your job, but was it really necessary to bully other merchants?"
The blonde merchant looked to his side as he didn't know how to respond to my question.
Perhaps it was because he felt pleasure from other misfortunes, or he simply didn't care at all.
"That's wrong…" The blonde merchant responded with a voice that was about to go all out, but seeing his situation, he held back with all of his might. "I simply wanted them to work under me…"
"But they ended up quitting instead?"
"...Yes…"
"Well, not that it matters right now since we’ll be working together. Even though you'll probably do most of the work." After I was done with what I had to say to him, I left from there so he could reflect on the things that happened today.
…
While we were on our way back to our house, two of the girls seemed a bit more cheerful than usual. This may have been because they didn't find us guilty, but I believe that there might be something more to their reactions.
“Did something happen?” I asked after taking glances at their smiling faces.
“No, it's nothing you need to worry about.” Theresa responded before looking at Aya, as if they could understand what was going on.
I thought that they would be at least a little upset since our date was interrupted for a reason like that. And I won't lie to myself when I say that I felt frustrated that things were happening one after another without a break.
It almost felt like this world had no chill when it felt that someone was trying to have a peaceful life.
…
The next morning, I wanted to make up for the date we couldn't go with Aya and Theresa. And since I wanted to finish up some stuff I had to deal with, I decided to postpone my alone time with Aya and Theresa.
Since Aya was still sleeping, I asked Theresa to come with me to the merchant who falsely accused us.
Of course, we were led inside his mansion without any question asked, which was something really pleasing since I didn't want to deal with explaining everything.
We were led to the second floor of the mansion where we were greeted by the blonde merchant in his own office.
“Mr. Hiroki, please take a seat.” He had prepared two cups of coffee, as if expecting us to come here while offering a seat.
His attitude has totally changed and he was referring to me now as Mr. Hiroki?
“Just call me Hiroki, I hate formalities.” I sat down on the couch together with Theresa while waiting for that blonde merchant.
“I guess you know why I am here today?” I asked as Theresa was staying on her guard while giving glances of displeasure to the boy on the other side of the table.
“Yes.” The blonde merchant nodded before presenting in front of the table a pile of documents. “In here you can find all of my income and products that I own. It's all yours.”
While Theresa was giving the looks of someone who didn't care, I was surprised by how easily he was willing to give everything he owned.
This was an order from the king, but I thought that he would at least try to do something from the dark.
“For the moment I only have 1,450,000 gold coins in this mansion, but if you give me a couple of more days I can give you more. That’s why–”
But before he could say anything more about this, I decided to interrupt and tell him why I was here.
“Hold on, I don’t want any of your income or your valuables.”
The boy looked at me in surprise and confusion.
“T-then, with what can I help you?” His voice could be heard stuttering a bit.
I could see that he was expecting something worse from me now that I told him I wasn't interested in any of his money.
“....”
“I want you to sell this.” I explained while Thersa brought out one bottle of premade coffee.
“T-that’s…” The blonde merchant was left speechless for a bit while trying to comprehend my reasons for my actions right now.
“This is the drink you tried to remake.” I pushed the bottle of coffee towards the boy so he could get a closer look. “I’ll provide you with as many as you want, that's why I want you to sell them all over the kingdom and outside of it.”
A gulping sound was heard from the merchant boy before he took a breath from the next thing he was going to say.
“What’s the catch?”
“I’ll sell it to you at an affordable price. After that, you can do whatever you want with it for as long as you don’t change or make the drink harmful again.” I explained to the hesitant looking blonde boy.
“What do you get out of this?” The blonde merchant greeted his teeth in frustration as his eyes were covered in shadow.
“Income? What do you mean, is there something more I’m missing?”
“No! I want to know what the real catch is!” The blonde merchant shouted while clenching his fists. “Not only you saved me from execution but also you let me keep everything that I had worked so far. And what did I do to you? Something that could’ve gotten you dead! Do you really expect me to act so casually from someone who literally has my life in his hands? You weren't interested in any of my gold coins or wealth, that's why I feel frustrated that I can’t read you at all. That's why…. tell me what is going on… I’m begging you…” The boy continued talking as his voice could be seen getting more tired and frustrating at this kind of situation.
“....”
“....”
I let out a sigh before looking at the frustrated looking boy in front of me. “You’re from Earth, aren’t you?”
His eyes widened in shock at the sudden thing I just said before calming down in the next moment.
"...I had my suspicions, but I never thought that there would be someone else other than me."
"I was the same, but there are others than us. Or at least there were…"
Since I read the diary of Aito Suzuki, I knew that he was from the same world as me. Then there was Kaito who was surprisingly from the modern area as well.
And to this point, I wouldn't be surprised if I happen to find that there were more people summoned to this world.
“Is that the reason why you helped me?” The blonde merchant asked once again about his situation.
This guy must’ve had a rough time back on earth if he’s this careful around me.
Actually I’m surprised that he was able to expand his business this much at that kind of young age.
"That's also true, but the real reason I assisted you was because of the things I indicated earlier." Before he could ask any more questions, I continued to explain. "I doubt I will be able find anyone as capable as you for this kind of work, that's why I thought your death would be a waste.
I haven't been to another kingdom yet, but I’ve actually seen some development that was quite noticeable compared to the towns I’ve been to so far. And that's why I need you to sell the drink that I’ve recreated in this world. I believe that you could spread out in the entire kingdom in the blink of an eye. We'll both profit in the end, so what do you say?”
The blonde merchant let out another sigh before looking at me. “You really are hard to understand… but I get what you’re saying.” The blonde merchant responded, unsure and suspicious of me.
But it didn't take long before a smile could be seen forming on his face while moving his hand in front of me. “I’ll be in your care from now on.”
“Likewise.” I wryly smiled as I avoided touching his hand.
That made things a bit weird around us, but after explaining another made up lie, we were able to come into an agreement without any more confusion.
And after managing to talk about how we would split the profits and how this drink would be stored and transported, the blonde merchant suddenly brought up another problem that we had to face.
“I understand why you chose me, but I think we’re forgetting something here.” The blonde merchant mentioned, as the atmosphere around us got a bit gloomy.
“I know.” I agreed with him as I crossed my arms together in thought.
Thanks to a certain merchant who got careless, now the coffee I was trying to sell in the entire town was thought of as some kind of harmful drink.
And if we don't think of a way to solve this, we won't be able to sell any of our products anymore even though there is evidence that my coffee is harmless.
Even if the king said that my drink was safe, it was going to take a lot more work in order to make its people believe it.
