Chapter Fifteen - Fairy Princess, Welcome To Our Group!
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
A month has passed, and so far Ygor was able to easily grasp the classes. Calvin, on the other hand, had a very hard time because not only did they attend classes late, but he also is not used to the classes. However, Ygor helped him a lot so he was not left behind.
On weekdays they have classes and on weekends they have training. That is how they've been spending all their days. The two showed great improvement in their training. Their popularity has also not died down though they didn't do anything yet.
It seems like fans are waiting for them eagerly.
"Fairy princess, would you like to eat with us today?" Ygor asked with a smile on his face.
It was the same smile he'd always give her. Even if she always rejected him and acted cold towards him, his smile never faded away. Seoyeon would even wonder sometimes if Ygor could feel pain both emotionally.
"No." She firmly said.
It has been part of their routine on school days. Ygor would ask her at lunch to eat with them and Seoyeon would always reject him.
"Alright, eat well, fairy princess!" He said and left.
Tsk. Why can't he just call me by my name?!
Seoyeon always found Ygor's nickname for her annoying. She hated it and Ygor just wouldn't stop calling her like that so she hated Ygor even more.
"Oppa, are you sure you don't want to join the student council with me?" Yena asked Ygor.
They have been eating lunch in the school garden for quite a while now. It is way more peaceful than the cafeteria where it's always like a battle of who runs and spots a free table faster.
"No, I don't think I fit in there." Ygor answered.
They were waiting for Calvin who lost the rock, paper, and scissors. Yena would bring a picnic cloth for them while one of the other two buys their lunches.
Yena pouted. "Why don't you guys want to join with me?"
Ygor slightly smiled at her. "It's troublesome to always be with you." He joked.
Yena punched him in his arms and Ygor just laughed. "I hate you!"
In the past month, Ygor and Calvin found out that Min Yena is a very clumsy girl. She'd trip on air, accidentally spills her drink, chokes on water, and even bump her head on a very large and obvious lamppost.
Because of this, they always have to watch out for her. Sometimes, they'll catch her and stop her from falling but then her feet will be on the way and they'd fall instead of her. Sometimes, when she spills her drink unintentionally it will spill on them or other people instead.
Then, the afternoon classes came.
"I want you to form groups with four members in total for our next activity." The class was ending when they were given an extra task.
"Oppa!" Yena immediately grabbed Calvin and Ygor.
"Yes, of course." Calvin told her.
The two looked around the room to try and find the last person. They saw that everyone was still forming groups. However, they only looked in front of them.
Ygor looked at Seoyeon and smiled at her. He didn't say anything, Seoyeon looked at him and immediately averted her gaze. She looked to her side and saw three students forming a group.
She was about to walk towards them when another student ran up to them. They rejoiced but it was cut off short when they noticed Seoyeon standing near them.
Gasp!
"Oh no! What should we do?" They whispered among themselves but Seoyeon still heard it.
"No, it's alright. I was just about to ask if you were already complete, turns out you were, so it's fine." Seoyeon smiled brightly.
When she turned back, her smile was gone in an instant and was replaced with a troubled look.
"Oppa, who do you think we should ask?" Yena turned to Ygor and asked.
Calvin also looked at him since only he and Yena are sharing their opinions about the matter.
"It doesn't look like there's anyone free. Maybe just us three is fine?" She said.
Calvin tapped his fingers on the table. "But the professor didn't say anything about a group having only three members. There should be another person who's not yet in a group."
Ygor stood up and tapped them both on the shoulders. "I got it, I'll be back."
Ygor walked towards the troubled Seoyeon. He noticed another guy walking toward them so he walked faster. When the guy saw Ygor and Seoyeon face to face, he sadly backed out on asking Seoyeon to be part of their group.
When Ygor saw him leaving, his gaze returned to Seoyeon who is now looking at him.
"Fairy princess, would you like to be part of our group?" He asked.
She didn't even think about it. "No, I am already in a group." She lied.
Ygor looked behind her and saw the group of women looking at them.
He asked them, "Are the four of you a group?" He asked the four ladies.
Their eyes went wide, it was Ygor, the very popular, handsome, and smart Ygor asking them!
They shyly nodded at him, he smiled at them. "I see, fighting!"
He then looked at Seoyeon again who was biting her lip. "I think all groups have been completed already, fairy princess."
"Then I'll be by myself." She said.
Ygor scratched the back of his head. "Fairy princess, we are still short of one more member..."
"I don't care."
"Please?"
"Three people should be good enough. Now, move because you are in my way."
Ygor then intentionally blocked her steps. She wasn't able to sit because Ygor is blocking the only entrance to her seat. Yena and Calvin only watched them, both knew the true personality of Yoo Seoyeon.
"Do you hate me that much?" He asked sadly.
Seoyeon looked at him. "No."
Ygor smiled again. "I hate you more than you think I do." She said.
"You are super annoying so I don't think working with you will be fine." She added.
"Please? Just once?" He pleaded again.

She frowned at him. "Could you please move?"
"Not until you agree." Ygor told her, clearly enjoying the situation.
"Have I told you that you're annoying?"
"Yep!"
"Have I told you that I hate you?"
"Yep!"
"Have I told you that you're ugly?" She often heard his conceited side because the three in front of her are very noisy in class.
"...no"
"Then now that you know, move."
"Still won't!" He said firmly this time.
"The last group in the back, go back to your seats." The professor told them.
Ygor smiled widely at the annoyed Seoyeon. "Fairy princess, welcome to our group!" Only then did he go back to his chair.
Seoyeon concealed her anger by clenching her fists. She almost had to buy a new pen.
The professor gave them instructions. "In our next meeting, we will have an activity. Impromptu acting. When it's your group's turn, I will give you a topic. For example, a wife who found their husband having an affair."
The students whispered and the whole class was buzzing. A certain conversation reached the professor's ears.
"Hey, you three can do that, what about me?"
"Be the bed."
The professor wanted to slap the one who answered. "All members must have a role that is not an object nor an animal." She told them.
She then continued explaining. "Once the topic has been given to your group, you will have two minutes to discuss everything you needed. After that, you must proceed with the act."
Many students already hated the idea and some were already trembling.
"It will be recorded. If you perform very well and impress me, I will tell a good friend of mine about it."
The students didn't know what to feel about it. All of their professors have a lot of connections with different producers, directors, singers, and even entertainment companies. So this activity is a very big opportunity for them, however, most of them don't feel too confident about themselves.
"For now, representatives of each group will draw a number."
She raised a fishbowl with folded papers. The representatives then started lining up to pick a number, all of which are hoping not to get number 1.
"I'll do it!" Yena volunteered.
"Go for it, work your magic." Calvin told her.
Ygor poked her dimples. "Use your luck!"
With their encouragement, she felt very confident as she lined up.
"She'll definitely get number 1, won't she?" Calvin sighed as he looked at her.
"It's Yena so that's for sure." Ygor laughed.
Seoyeon looked at them with confused eyes. "Didn't you just cheer for her?" She can't help but ask them.
They both looked at her. "You even told her to use her luck whatsoever." She pointed at Ygor.
He smiled at her and said, "Yeah, but I didn't say which one."
Calvin laughed. "Yena's luck is 70:30, bad to good."
Seoyeon just looked at them with disbelief.
There's no way she's that unlucky to get 1.
Even Seoyeon is nervous. After all, she never had experience with acting before. She was sure that many people will be watching, not just their class.
After a while, Yena came back with a grin.
"First?" Calvin asked.
Yena shook her head. Calvin and Ygor looked at each other with wide eyes. She gave them the paper, and Seoyeon leaned in to see the number.
"We're in the middle?!" Calvin was very shocked.
The middle is actually a very lucky place. Being the first performer is very nerve-wracking. It's more likely that you'll do bad because you do not know yet how strong are the groups you are competing with. You will also be the first one to heat up the stage and you have no idea of the flow of things. Your group will also be the basis of a good and a bad performance. Isn't better if another group will be the basis so you can do better than them?
Being in the last is also not good. You will be nervous for the entire time until you perform. There's a possibility that one of the groups before you did very well that impressed everyone, therefore, their expectations will also be higher. If your group cannot reach these expectations, then it will not do well for your score. Being the last will only be beneficial if you are the best.
But, if you are in the middle, you will have the chance to see how things work. You also have the chance to set the standards higher and make it hard for your competitors. However, it is also possible that you are not the best. Therefore, it is better if there's a possibility that the best group will perform after yours. Then, after performing you can relax and watch the rest of the groups with a good and light feeling.
Ygor just looked at Yena with wide eyes. "Were you really the one who drew this?" He asked.
Yena smirked at them. "See? I am not so unlucky!"
"Maybe today is your lucky day." Calvin told her.
"Fairy princess, we're the fifth one to perform." Ygor told her.
Yena noticed Ygor always looking at Seoyeon and calling her fairy princess. Somewhere in her heart didn't like it and wanted to be mad, but she knew that she can't and shouldn't be.
Seoyeon was about to answer when the professor spoke. "Don't mistake the numbers as the order of performers."
Everyone stopped in whatever they were doing. The professor opened her laptop and connected it to the projector.
"The numbers you got are your official group number. We will use this wheel to determine which group will perform first." Then she clicked and the wheel with ten slices numbered 1 to 10 spun.
Everyone was holding their breaths. Their palms were sweating, who would be the first group to perform? The spinning sound effect made it even more suspenseful.
"Group 5 will perform first. The next group will be..." Then the wheel spun again with one less slice.
The four people at the back were too stunned to speak.
