Chapter 8: Noelle!?

The ship arrives at the port village of Ritou in Inazuma. Aether, Noelle and Paimon got off the ship, bid their farewells to Beidou, and is met with a man who doesn't look Inazuman, rather more Mondstader like.

The man introduced himself as Thoma, housekeeper of the Kamisato clan.

"Hmm? Is the maid next to you also from Mondstadt?"

"Yes she is. But it my book, she is a Knight of Favonius."

"So... Maid-Knight?"

"You could say that."

Noelle stayed silent the entire time, as she hid behind Aether. Afterwards they walked into town, and managed to get towards the Kanjou Commission Head's residence to gain a permit to leave Ritou, although they failed due to the head, Shinsuke Hiiragi giving tons of reasons.

However a spark of hope appears when his daughter, Chisato has a plan. They met up at the exit, but just then Noelle remembered.

"Ah, I forgot to buy us some supplies for the road ahead!"

"Eh!? But we're almost out of here-- Paimon meant, we're almost leaving honorably!"

"You can go ahead first! I'll be there!" Noelle bowed before returning to town to buy the necessary supplies.

It took a while, but Noelle then returned to the town's exit and asked the border guard.

"Hmm? Excuse me, where did the cargo just now went?"

"Towards Konda Village, if you're with that Outlander, just go."

Noelle ran through the path along the straits, her groceries in hand. She then sees a battle being occured in the distance. Aether is fighting off a couple of tall men wearing straw hats and wielding katanas, and a man in red samurai armor with a flaming katana.

One of the straw hats were slain, but then the pyro katana wielder struck Aether in the back, sending him tumbling to the ground.

"...This is bad...!" Aether said as he then shielded his face with his sword while the red samurai raised his katana and swung down.

The sword never hits. Instead a loud clanging noise is heard, causing Aether to slowly open his eyes to see Noelle holding her claymore in her right hand, shielding Aether from the attack while on her left hand is the bag of supplies. Aether looked to see that Noelle has kicked the transport cargo to the destination already without spilling any of it's contents.

"N...Noelle!"

"What is this? Another test subject for this katana to taste?"

"Pardon me, sir, but I heavily advise you against continuing this fight!" Noelle replied to the man.

"Ha! Is this little girl for real!?" He said as he then swung his katana, only to realize that Noelle and Aether are no longer in front of him.

Noelle carried Aether and placed him down against a rock, and gave him a reassuring smile.

"Please forgive me for the interruptions, I'll be back after some sweeping~"

"Alright, Noelle. Go get them!"

"Don't you make a fun of us Nobu--" The other Straw hat clad man tries to raise his katana, only for Noelle to elbow him in the stomach, sending a heavy shockwave running through his entire body.

The Straw Hat Bandit then knelt down, and immediately went unconscious.

"Please refrain from any more harm, and please bring this colleague of yours for some medical attention." Noelle bowed her head down to the Red Samurai, who looked at the scene in fear.

"Just, where did this girl come from? Partner, get her from behind!"

"Eh?" Noelle raised a brow, as she realized that there is a presence behind her, jumping over the rock where Aether is sitting against, swinging down his katana.

However, Noelle just walked a single step forward to evade the attack. She turned around to see another samurai, but in purple armor, his katana imbued with electro.

"Boss, this girl's too darn fast!" The purple samurai shouted to the red one.

"But it can't be, I can't sense any harm from this girl. Could it be that our training has dulled?"

Aether watched the entire scene in awe, what on Teyvat did Noelle do during her time in the Serenitea Pot aside from placing furniture?

As it turns out, Noelle did her training routines there non-stop, and taking little rests. The results of her training is now paying off, as both Samurai then placed their swords inside their scabbards, and dashed to Noelle before drawing them out to perform slashes.

However, no harm comes to Noelle, as if the attacks phased through her. She stood there with a stern expression, still agitated of the people who are attacking Aether. From the distance, a fox mask wearing girl saw the entire thing, and just sighed before walking back towards a stone fox statue.

Aether widened his eyes again as he can see through the trick that Noelle did just now, he sees that the sands underneath Noelle's feet are gashed by her feet, although she doesn't seem to move the entire time.

Angered, the Samurais then imbued their weapons with their elements, and swung down at her, who activated her geo shield that surrounds her.

"What is this...?"

"So hard... Is this geo!?"

Noelle's expression remains to be unmoved, as she then raised both arms to her sides, before focusing her vision's power to her hands, causing the shield to shatter and the samurais were sent flying from the violent blow.

"Alright, this is just really stupid!" The red samurai shouted, before approaching Noelle again, this time holding his katana inches towards her throat.

"We won't let you play with our pride... We are the Kaira--AUUGHH!"

Noelle cuts off the red's introduction with a single punch to the mempo mask, cracking it a bit as he then backed off, holding his just remodeled face. blood begins to seep out of the nose holes of the mask, before the red said "How... Dare you..."

"Hmm? How dare me, what? My apologies, aren't you supposed to be attacking?" Noelle tilted her head in confusion at the red's remark.

"I...I...I'll... I'LL SLAY YOU!" Red shouted in anger, as he and purple then attacked Noelle rapidly with their katanas, but Noelle activated her shield making them unable to hit her.

And with one spin, as Noelle pulls out her claymore, she hits both samurai with ease, the purple one thrown to the deep water, and struggles to swim while the red hits a rock, and looked at Noelle as his body shivers in fear.

Noelle calmed down, with a sigh and swam over to grab purple's hand, and dragged him back over to red.

"Pardon me, but I doubt that he will be able to fight anymore. I advise you to leave and tend to his wounds."

Red then chuckled, as Noelle then widened her eyes as a sound of thunder strike is heard, the purple Samurai had waken up and took his opportunity to strike her in the back. Noelle's vision then glowed brightly, as Noelle then summons her claymore, and hit the both of them with a spin, slicing their bodies in half. She weakly looked back towards Aether, and muttered out

"A...Aether..."

Before everything went black. Noelle has fainted from the sudden shock from the electro.
