Yamasaki laughed out loud, "can't control yourself now?"
She whispered, "I just want to see you happy."
She was so cute that he wanted to kiss her again but he couldn't move her; she was much stronger than him.
This made him smile from the bottom of his heart. He whispered back, "you can see I am happy now."
"I don't want to!" She hid herself even more; he could see her ears red.
Her cuteness made his heart melt. He rubbed her head and they stayed like that until she calmed down. As for sex, there was no rush.
He recalled that her robe and gloves had weight so he asked her about this.
She answered him, "The pressure is from outside to inside so only I feel the weight."
He nodded and didn't ask further. He only said not to over strain herself.
Then He rolled to the side and they faced each other. He sneaked a peck, making her purse her lips. He grinned and she rolled her eyes.
After spending some time like this, he sighed, "Now I really don't feel like going with that plan."
Claire said in a serious tone, "Eric, this is the path you have chosen from your own will and you know that deep inside so accept it. It's not like dual cultivation is bad. A path can never be wrong or right, only an individual can be."
He smiled, "I can accept it but what about you?"
"As long as your conscience is right."
"Mmh."
Then he gave the black coin to her and asked her to get some information. When she was leaving, he stopped controlling himself and gazed at her figure with relish.
He heard her say, "your gaze is uncomfortable."
He was stunned. He retracted his eyes and said seriously, "then I'll be like a soldier on duty for you."
But then he noticed her looking back with a hint of smile in her eyes. He clicked his tongue; Claire was learning to joke around at a fast speed.
After she returned and told him that he would receive the information the next day, he asked, "wanna sleep together?"
She hesitated for a long time and shook her head.
Claire was still not used to her new feelings and Yamasaki understood her.
He chuckled, "it's cool. After my doubts are cleared and you get out of the seclusion, we will go on a date. What do you say?"
Fortunately she nodded and even added that it would not take her much time.

Claire, being a genius she was, actually had a new idea for an arcane art from that martial merit system. He felt proud of her.
After that they spent some more time together and when the atmosphere became a little ambiguous, Claire took her leave in embarrassment.
Of course Yamasaki didn't forget to give her a good night kiss.
Time ticked away and Yasuo couldn't sleep. He was thinking about many things and in the end, thought of that beautiful blonde woman, Clara; it ultimately led to the river of time.
River of time was hailed as the river that supported Isfet's time flow and circulation, connecting the beginning and the end.
Depending on the flow and trajectory of the river in different places, the time was also different. If the speed of the tributary was slow in a certain location, then the time at that place would also be slow and so on.
So how would one even measure time? Yamasaki didn't have much information about the ancient era but at the moment, time was measured relative to Beatrix—a mysterious place where rivers of time from throughout the universe converged.
The flow of the current was constant there—exactly twenty years. So basically an era constituted of these twenty years.
As such Beatrix calendar became the universal calendar and the rest of the local calendars were made relative to it.
At the start of a new era—Averyl—or at the end of the previous era—Brevin—a natural phenomenon occurred throughout Isfet. On the horizon, it didn't matter if it was day or night, one could see a swirling river of greenish-blue light. They moved and danced unpredictably; sometimes barely perceptible, then suddenly growing vivid.
Thus to make the new local calendar, Chaldea worked to send messages throughout the universe a few months prior to the Brevin.
As such, Beatrix or the origin of time was one of the most heavily guarded regions in the whole universe with at least two venerables presiding over it.
Of course, measuring the exact time of a specific place was impossible but with the smart and hard work of various lifeforms of the ancient times, approximate time could be calculated. After the discovery of the origin of time, the calculations were further refined.
Yamasaki only found out about this when he studied various books last week in his free time. He really wanted to curse Eric. Why didn't he know about such an important thing?!
In the history of earth, the Chaldea lights occurred at random gaps–sometimes in a decade and then in just three years. The shortest known interval was two years. In short, an era ended in two years according to earth's time; Yasuo hoped that this happened again for a few more eras.
After all, if Yamasaki was able to cultivate at a fast rate and become a god in a few eras then he would be able to meet his parents and Clara again!
This motivated him a lot but at the same time felt complicated especially now when he confessed to Claire.
On one hand, he wanted Clara to move on and be happy as he knew how painful grief was. On the other hand, we wanted to get together with her again.
But when he would meet Clara again, what would he say to her? He moved on half a month after his supposed death when she was in grief? But could this even be considered moving on? He still thought about her and there was also Megumi.
He closed his eyes and sighed, "Claire, I really want to cuddle with you."
Just then he felt a certain someone hugging him, her jasmine like scent lulling him to sleep.
His lips curled up when he heard her soft voice, "me too."
