Five days later, Eric Bodwyn, wearing a long warm coat, exited the bodwyn manor and walked towards the market place.

He had blonde hair, red eyes, and sharp, handsome features. He didn't like the fact that he looked more similar to that man than his mother.

It didn't matter how Alan Bodwyn found out about his strange reincarnation but after being asked that question, Eric told him the truth. He didn't care what his so-called father would do to him.

To his surprise, that man just nodded without a change in expression and asked a few more questions like if he had Eric's all memories. After getting his answers, Alan ordered him not to leave the room and left just like that.

Half an hour later, he returned and told Yamasaki his new fate.

"Your state of mind is too pitiful. I'll give you some time for you to improve it. If you waste my son's potential, trust me I'll make your life worse than death."

Even though Yasuo wanted to ask what he would do at that time. When he looked into that man's eyes, he felt a strange unknown fear so he meekly nodded.

"I also have sent someone to observe you so behave yourself well."

After that he left and then Yamasaki met his new mother, Melissa, and sister, Amelia for the first time. When he thought about this, he stopped and turned around to look at the entrance with a complicated gaze.

There stood his mother wearing a simple blue dress. With her brown hair tied in a bun, she stood at the entrance in the bitter heat, her brown eyes gentle. If not for her thin and haggard face, she was undoubtedly a beautiful woman.

For the past ten days, she hadn't slept properly. She had always been worried about her son–a son who was already dead.

Because he had Eric's memories of childhood, he felt a bit of closeness to her and his younger sister yet not.

Even though he tried to, he still could not accept his current situation.

But he knew that sooner or later, he would accept his new family except for that father who even Eric was afraid of.

The reason was simple. The past few days where he was breaking down even more, they supported him. Otherwise thanks to that damn bastard Mattias and that so-called observer who gave him invisible psychological pressure, he would have gone insane. Honestly, he was a bit surprised that after all what had happened, he could still retain his sanity.

He smiled and waved at her. Then he quickened his pace otherwise his mother would not enter the manor to rest.

He tightened the coat over his body and looked up at the scorching sun that had no effect on him. He squinted his eyes and suddenly shuddered, his face pale. He rubbed his face a little and sighed. First his soul strangely fused with Eric, his state of mind was already weak, and now he was feeling cold in the goddamn hot summer. He shook his head and sighed once again.

Walking on the cobbled street made of Stafford rocks, he thought about yesterday. He had spent a good amount of time persuading his mother to let him go out alone.

After she finally agreed, she said, "Amelia has an important exam in a few days, otherwise I would have sent her with you."

She shook her head. "It's a pity that your mom has become old or else I would have gone out to play with you."

Then a hint of playfulness flashed past her eyes. "But don't worry. If you want I'll give you a younger sibling to play with."

At that time he blurted out, "Now you are feeling young, huh?"

He immediately regretted his sarcastic and rude words but his mother laughed out loud.

She didn't mind his words as Eric was always open with her. To her, it was a sign that her son was slowly returning to his past self but to Yasuo it was different. He feared that he would say something hurtful.

Unknown to himself, when he recalled her face filled with joy, his lips curled up in a gentle smile.

He glanced back at the sneaky servants that her mother sent and chuckled. He didn't mind this as he knew that she was still worried. Like what if he suddenly felt dizzy? So on and so forth.

Then he roamed around in the market. Though he had memories of this place, he still wanted to observe it with his own eyes. Not like he would spend a lot of time here. His body was too weak right now.

The buildings in Staffordshire had simple infrastructure and each of them were made of litter wood, a wood that was resistant to fire to a certain extent. If the owner was wealthy enough, they could also add different runes with mystical effects on the buildings. Truly a magical world this was.

Staffordshire was a flourishing trade city at the north east border of the empire of Ebilon. It connected the empire with a few vassal countries.

The Empire of Ebilon was one of the great powers in the Barad Galorfin realm. When he tried to recall more information he felt a sharp headache. He stopped thinking about this matter and smiled bitterly.

Yamasaki noticed a familiar face in the bustling crowd. It was the old guard of the city gate who had been working there for a long time now. He smiled and nodded at the old man.

When the old man saw him, his face brightened. He came towards him with long strides and laughed out loud. They exchanged pleasantries and talked for a little bit. He was sincere so Yamasaki didn't mind chatting with him.

But he seemed to be in a rush so he wished for his quick recovery and bade farewell. Seeing that the old man was going after a young woman who was smiling coquettishly at him, Yasuo couldn't help but laugh.

The old people were feeling young while the young ones were feeling old.

After a few minutes, he started to feel exhausted so he changed direction and went back to the manor.

He met many more familiar people who greeted him with all smiles.

The Bodwyn family had a good reputation in the surrounding area. His father, Alan Bodwyn, was the city lord who had worked pretty well for a long time while his mother was famous for her kind nature. Amelia and Eric were also famous for good looks, intelligence, and friendly nature.

Yamasaki glanced around. The observer was hiding himself perfectly well. That man, Alan, was shrouded in dense fog and he couldn't help but worry about his mother and Amelia.

They were good people and a good person always suffers at the hands of a bastard like this.

But maybe he was overthinking. He hoped that he was overthinking.

After a few more days, his complexion became a little better and his body temperature slightly increased.

He, his mother, and Alan stood out on the entrance of the manor. They were here to see off Amelia as the time for the examination of the Lakeside academy was finally here.

Amelia was a thin, beautiful young woman. She had light brown shoulder length hair and attractive brown eyes. Her appearance gave others a weak feeling but she always had her back straight and she always made eye contact when talking.

Right now, Yasuo felt a bit helpless as Amelia's eyes were puffed up. Even though she was two years older than him, she was always like a cute child in front of him.

She softly said, "Eric, I don't want to leave you."

He smiled gently and caressed her head. "Amy, you have been working hard for a long time now so why are you being like this?"

"But you are still ill."

"What ill? I can arm wrestle half of the city."

Seeing her frown, he sighed and said, "Even the doctor said that my health is improving at a fast rate."

Mother with her arms crossed over her chest chimed at the wrong time with a snort, "that doctor is a quack."

She immediately changed her posture and had a lady like demeanor as she held Amelia's head and said in a soft gentle voice, "I mean though that doctor is normally not that great, but this time he did an excellent job."

After that they talked for a bit more and then finally bid her farewell.

Walking back, Yamasaki suddenly said, "Actually mom, nowadays dad is not that busy with his work."

She gave an oh and side glanced at his father. Her eyes were clearly telling him to be ready for a good scolding.

He had time and he didn't accompany his daughter even for a few miles. Did he not care about her well being?

The more she thought about it, the more angry she got. She turned to look at Alan and said, "dear, I will be waiting for you."

She then strode off. Looking at his helpless expression, Yamasaki didn't hide his joy.

Before Alan could get back at him, he changed the topic and said in a serious tone, "I have something serious to talk about with you."
