“I’m glad Rose told you; now we have to decide on a training schedule that won’t be difficult for you; what do you think, Princess?” (Lucy)

“Lucy, Yami, Mana, thank you for thanking me, but I have decided to work as hard as I can to save Rose; I believe we should split the training into a month each; that way, I don’t become overwhelmed; and so I can entirely focus on each training subject. Rose suggested that I should start with Mana’s magic training because it is the least harsh on my body, and in turn, my body will get more robust so that it can handle Lucy and Yami’s training better. Is that ok, you all”? (Lily)

“That sounds good to me, Lily.” (Yami)

“That does make sense very well; congratulations Mana you get to train our Princess first.” (Lucy)

“Hahaha, now, Lucy, don’t be jealous. Fair warning, Lily, I will be a strict instructor this time since we don’t have much time.” (Mana)

“Ehehe, I will count on it…, but when training time is over, you will go back to my sweet Mana, right?” (Lily)

“Fufufu, I promise I will return to your sweet Mana after the training time is over. If you do a good job and work hard, I will let you play with my ears as much as you want”. (Mana)

“Yaayy! Let’s get started then; there is no time to waste. Let’s go, let’s go, Mana!” (Lily)

I say as such before grabbing Mana’s hand and running to the magic training field; as we were running, I could hear Yami and Lucy yell out…

“Good luck, Mana, good luck, My Princess.” (Yami)

At the Magic Training Field

Hello, hello, again, diligent student Lily here. Mana and I have just arrived at the magic training field, discussing what we will be practicing and covering the first 2 weeks. Oh, Mana is telling me something; I better listen…

“Are you listening, Lily? I said while we are training, I’m not sure I want you to call me Instructor Mana, ok?” (Instructor Mana)

To be honest, I just want Lily to call me that again; it was so cute when she called me when I first started tutoring her. That is probably what Mana is thinking. Poor Mana she believes only Lucy can read her thoughts, but we all can because it is plastered all over her face. She is too cute. I need to respond…

“Okies, I will, Instructor Mana; I know you liked it when I did it before.” (Lily)

I say as such to Mana while wearing a light and teasing smirk on my face. Oh, she’s turning red.

“Le… Let’s get started then; for the next 2 weeks, we will work on your magic control and increase your compatibility with each magical element. You will work on a different element every 2 hours daily for the next 2 weeks. This will help keep you from collapsing from using too much magical energy when we start learning magical chants. Pop quiz, this is something we had covered before when I was tutoring you; what is the best way to increase your magic control and compatibility of your elements?” (Instructor Mana)

“It is making a magic barrier continuously out of the element you wish to master.” (Student Lily)

“Correct, well done, student Lily, now 2^nd question. Why is making a magic barrier considered better than continuously shooting out a spell like a fireball?” (Instructor Mana)

“Thank you, Instructor Mana; creating a magic barrier is better because of the mp consumption rate, and it doesn’t require a chant to use; the longer you can use an elemental barrier, the more you will increase your overall compatibility with that element and your control over your mp consumption.” (Student Lily)

“Correct again, student Lily, you are so smart. This is the last question: do you know how to make this form of training even more efficient?” (Instructor Mana)

“Ehehehe, I’m not sure, the only thing I can think of is to continuously have your elemental barrier destroyed by an elemental spell that it is weak to until it can withstand said spell.” (Student Lily)

“Wow…that was meant to be a trick question, but you got it entirely right. Great job, Lily. The pop quiz is over. You got a perfect score. So with that said, let’s start training. We will start with the element you have the weakest compatibility with and work our way up to the elements that shouldn’t take long for you to master and control. We will begin with you creating a dark elemental barrier; while I attack it with a light element spell.” (Instructor Mana)

I started as such while creating a dark elemental barrier. We continued this training for 2 hours and then switched to another element; the order went like this: dark magic, fire magic, earth magic, wind magic, life magic, or green magic, which includes water, and light magic. There are, in total, six magical elements, and we spent 2 hours training each element so let’s just say I was exhausted after, and Mana had to carry me back to my bed chambers. We continued this training for the next two weeks. Cue the eye of the tiger song and let the training montage begin…

2 Weeks Later

“Well done, Lily, you have done better than I could have imagined, you really worked hard these last 2 weeks, and you have successfully increased your compatibility with every element to the max, and you have complete control over your mp consumption rate. So now that your body is stronger, we will start using physical enhancement, attack, and stamina healing magic chants. Are you ready?” ( Instructor Mana)

“Ehehe, it’s because you are such a good teacher, Instructor Mana. I’m ready to begin”. (Student Lily)

“Good, for this training, we will be doing the same thing we did before, but you will be the one attacking while I will create the barrier. We will continue this until you can destroy my barrier that will be resilient against the respected element you will be training with a basic attack spell. This will increase the power of your attack spells. For physical enhancement magic, you will be running around the training field and doing different exercises while in a physically enhanced state; this will make your enhancement and stamina stronger. That will come in handy when you begin training with Lucy and Yami. Last but certainly not least, stamina healing magic; you will strengthen this magic by constantly restoring your stamina when you get tired from your physical enhancement training. Since these two go hand in hand, we will split the training into six hours a piece; you will start with physical enhancement, and stamina healing magic training and then move on to attack magic training after an hour lunch break. So are you ready, student Lily?” (Instructor-from-hell Mana)

“Ehhhh! This is for Rose, this is for Rose. Very well, Instructor Mana; I will punish you when I play with your ears after our training is finished.” (Sadist-student Lily)

“Ehhhh…very…well…my Princess.” (Scared-slightly-excited Instructor Mana)

“Now let’s begin; there is no time to waste!” (Student Lily)

I say as such before reciting the physical enhancement chant; hmm, I wonder if there is a way to perform the chants internally because it would be quite a disadvantage to be attacked in the middle of a chant by another mage who is using a shorter chant. I will experiment with this while training; I might be able to fluster and surprise Instructor Mana again. With that, we continued this experimenting and training for the next 2 weeks. Cue the song Gonna Fly Now and let the training montage recommence.

Last day of the Magic Training Session

 “You have done an excellent job these last 2 weeks, Lily; I am so proud of you. You can keep your physical enhancement going continuously for two hours without tiring or exhausting your mp. Your stamina healing magic is phenomenal; with a short, simple chant, you can completely replenish your lost stamina. To top it off, you can destroy my strongest barrier with a basic element attack spell that my barrier is resilient too.” (Instructor Mana)

“Ehehe, thank you, Instructor Mana.” (Student Lily)

“It’s too bad we can’t do the final test I was planning, but better off we don’t. Lily, please remember this ok, with great power comes great responsibility. Your magic powers are too strong to fight against ordinary people; if there is a time during our adventure that we need to fight someone, Lucy, Yami, Rose, or I will do it, we will protect you. Promise me that you will not use your powers unless necessary.” (Instructor Mana)

“I promise, Instructor Mana.” (Student Lily)

“Good. Now I guess it is time to say. Congratulations, Student Lily, you have successfully passed with a perfect score and graduated from Instructor Mana’s magic training camp.” (Instructor Mana)

“Yay, thank you, it has been an honor being trained by you, Instructor Mana.” (Student Lily)

“Now it is time to return to Lily’s sweet wife Mana mode. Congrats, Lily, you did such a good job. Let’s get you some butterscotch pudding cake, I will carry you there, and you can play with my ears on the way.” (Mana)

“Yay, pud~ding, and mofu~mofu. Thank you, Mana, and also, thank you for training me for both my and Rose’s sake. I love you so much, Mana.” (Lily)

“Of course, I would do anything for you; I love you too, My Princess.” (Mana)

Mana says as such before picking me up in a princess carry and giving me a light kiss and hug. I wonder who I am going to be trained by next?
