The gazes of every person had shifted towards the entrance. And, soon a group emerged from the place.
The person leading the group was Max, and around him were a few familiar faces.
He had Argus, Ragnar, Bell, and Rihanna with him. Synthia was still missing in the group. It seemed that the issue had yet to be resolved between her and Max.
"You sure we won't get in trouble for this?" Ragnar couldn't help, but ask in a low voice.
"Just calm down, they didn't clarify the rules. It will be no big deal," Argus said with a smile. It seemed that he shared the same opinion with Max. "Not to mention, if we help the Roxley out, it would definitely make our operation much smoother here."
He was right.
Max had planned to help them, and then get Roxley's help in return. He was sure that they wanted the Dark Society gone as much as they did. As the Overlord of Trinity, Max was sure that getting the Roxley on their side was definitely going to make things easier.
And, he was even sure that there would be no leaking of information as Melinda was definitely someone who could be trusted. She even knew how to handle things well.
"Do I really have to do this? It will be embarrassing." Rihanna was definitely a bit nervous.
"What are you acting like that for? Didn't you hide your relationship with Synthia for so long? I bet this is easier than that." Ragnar looked at her, and smiled. Even though he seemed to be trying to cheer her, it did the opposite, making Rihanna glare at him.
"Aahh!" Max knowingly or unknowingly stepped on Omen, who had been slapped to the floor.
The people behind him seemed to have been blinded as well. And, a series of "Aah!" and "Ooh!" resounded through the entire Auditorium. Each successive groan made people frown harder, and some even turned their faces away.
Ander and Roman were barely able to hold their laughter while Melinda's face turned a bit dark. After all, it was fine if she did that. But, an outsider doing something like that right in front of them, was definitely not good for their reputation.
It was as if he was provoking them.
Thankfully, they had come representing the Ancient Families, or else she might have been forced to take some action on the surface to show the elders that she cared for them.
When Max and the rest stepped on the stage, seats had already been laid down for them. No one had noticed when it happened, but before they knew it, it was already there
"I am sorry for the late arrival," Max said with a smile before taking a seat along with others. This made a few people's faces twitch. After all, they were sitting on the same level as them. If not for the fact that they were calling themselves to be from the Ancient Families, it would be a clear insult to the elders.
Well, it still was, if you had a bloated ego. The only difference was that these people now had to take it lying down.
Max smiled at Melinda, but she could only sigh inwardly. She didn't know who these people he had brought along with him were. But, she hoped that the cat wouldn't be let out of the bag. Because, if that happened, then they would surely be doomed.
On the other hand, both Ander and Roman almost had their eyes popping up in surprise. They had finally recognized the faces beside Max. And, they knew there was no way they were failing today.
They had no idea how Max did it, but he had put the nail on the coffin. Omen was definitely done for.
"You nasty little brats!!!" A voice filled with rage, resounded across the entire hall. It was only then that people remembered about the forgotten guy, who had been lying down the entire time.
He had finger marks on cheek, and a few footprints on his back. It was definitely was a sight to see.
"What kind of place is this? Do you guys even allow beggars inside?" Max asked. And, his voice even though low, entered every person's ears.
Ander and Roman's face twitched, while Melinda just slightly shook her head.
This guy was really evil. He had clearly been shown the picture of every elder before the meeting, and Omen obviously was especially focused.
And now look at him. Not only did he deliberately step on him, but even called him out as a beggar.
"Kick him out of the place," Max commanded the elderly guy.
"Yes, Sir." The Elderly man's reply really left people's faces twitching again. Even if Max wasn't aware that the person was an Elder, this fellow sure knew it. And, yet he didn't even try to tell the fact to him.
Was there even any reasoning with these people?
"Stop!" Melinda finally couldn't bear to watch it any longer. And, stepped up to stop the farce from continuing any longer, " Even though he looks like a beggar, he is not one. He is one of our Elders. Please restrain your man."
The words immediately make Ander and Roman choke on air.
'This woman…' The two simultaneously thought.
And here they thought that Max was evil.
Even Max was left a bit speechless, she really was not going to let any chances go. This woman was surely an evil one.
Lora didn't seem to be like that though. And, even if she was, Max would just pray for Lear. The guy deserved it to be honest. He could be pretty cocky at times after all.
Omen finally breathed in a sigh, and returned to the stage. He almost broke out in cold sweat when he saw that elderly man move earlier.
"I am sure that there isn't a need for an introduction. But, just in case.." Roman, and spoke with a smile.
Max nodded, and looked at the elderly man.
The group behind Max really were forcing a smile on their face. The Elderly man that Max was commanding like a servant was someone, who had given them the fright of their life.
He was actually one of their instructors. They definitely wouldn't even dare to joke in front of him, much less make him a servant. But, what surprised them was that the Instructor really knew how to adapt. He really was playing his role perfectly.
The Instructor did his job pretty accurately, and introduced the group along with the Houses which they belonged to.
"What about this Sir, here?" Omen asked, glaring at Max. He had seen Max make eye contact with him before stepping right on his head. He did it knowing all well.
If not for the fact that Max's relationship was not clear with the Ancient Families, Omen definitely would have retaliated.
"Me? I am just your ordinary guy," Max replied with a smile.
