The Aten Rising

The year is 1355 BC, Egypt's Golden Age, and Amenhotep III has ruled as Pharaoh for 35 years.

Nekhet, the daughter of a priest, is determined to clear a debt. Soon, she finds herself hunted by the powerful Cult of Amun which has come looking for a magical almanac her father left in her possession.She tries to make sense of the secrets within the pages whilst on the run in Thebes, Egypt's capital, hoping that they can aid her in bringing down the corrupt priests of Amun and restoring balance to the powers protecting Egypt and its Pharaoh.

Along the way however, her notion of right and wrong is challenged as she comes into contact with an enigmatic stranger who promises aid and redemption - but not without shaking the religious and cultural foundations of Egypt to their core.
