March 1st, 2000 [7:50 AM, Academy Main Building]

I walked inside the building, and when I did I saw a multitude of things. It looked as if a mall was stuffed into a school. I looked up to see an escalator leading up to a second level. Which made sense. The student count was large. The school had about 1,500 students spread across all of the buildings. This building wasn't for learning though.

I kept walking until I reached the front desk like in a hotel when you check in. Standing behind the desk was a woman who seemed to be in her mid-twenties. Her purple hair was tied in a bun and her outfit seemed more professional and "business-like" if anything. But I stood in front of the desk my one-strapped backpack across my chest and on my side.

"You must be here for your dorm key, correct?" She asked me.

I nodded my head.

"Okay, I need to see your Student ID please," she asked with a smile.

I pulled the card from my pocket and showed her it.

"Alright! Here you are," she handed me a key, and attached to it was a little tag that said 'A-05'.

"Thank you," I said softly before walking off.

I was now in the Dorm Building which had the dorms inside. Because of the number of students, there were five dorm buildings for each "Zone". There were four zones. Zone A, B, C, and D. Each zone has its own education building, five dorm buildings, etc. Each zone surrounded the main building which was in the middle.

I walked in a few steps and found my dorm. Standing by it was another student. He had to be my roommate. Each dorm has 3 students in them. And no it's not mix and match. It's either all boy or all girl. There was no need for them to separate them as you need to scan your ID before opening or have someone inside the room open it.

Anyway, before I could walk to my dorm. My roommate began shouting.

"Hey! You must be my roommate! Over here!"

The other students who were minding their own business got interrupted by the white-haired guy who started shouting. I walked toward him sort of embarrassed.

"Hey, could you not scream so loud. Other people don't like that, you know," I told him as I got closer to the dorm.

"Sorry!"

He seemed innocent so I didn't continue I just leaned against the wall.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Rei Shojin."

"I'm Hyuri Katsuyo."

My first name was surely abnormal. But it never bothered me. I took a second to "analyze" Rei. He had white hair that went to his forehead and dark red eyes. He was about an inch taller than me. He also seemed nice.

"So I take it were waiting for our other roommate?" I asked him.

"Yeah. He should be here soon. I hope."

Just as he said that he appeared. He had brown hair and green eyes. He was breathing heavily as if he sprinted here.

"Are you okay?!" Rei asked, concerned.

"Yeah... I'm... fine..." he said in between breaths. "I'm Kensho... Yaki..."

"I'm Rei and this is Hyuri."

"Hi."

The dorm itself was big. It had a bathroom and pretty much room for the three of us. There were three separate computers. Like three smaller rooms all in one. We were all shocked. We all looked right to see a three-layered bunk bed.

"Can I have the top bunk?" I asked softly.

"Sure," the two said in unison.

I climbed up the wooden ladder to the top bunk. Rei took the middle and Kensho took the bottom. I set my three bags on one end, and lie down on the other end. There was a short silence until Rei began setting up his "space".

Rei stopped for a sec. "You guys wanna check the rest of the place out?" he said aloud.

"Sounds like a good idea," Kensho responded.

It sounded like a solid plan. So, I agreed to go with them and then climbed down the ladder. We then walked out of the dorm and left to see the rest of the Academy.

***

We were in the courtyard of the school. In the distance, we saw two huge stadiums. Just like we gazed in awe in the dorm. All three of us just stood there and stared at the stadiums.

“Wonder what they’ll use ‘em for?” Rei asked out of the blue.

“They’ll use them for what they were built for,” a girl’s voice said aloud behind us.

We turned around simultaneously and three girls were standing behind us. The tallest of the three stood in the middle. Most likely the one who spoke out. She had brown hair and purple eyes. Like the rest of us she had a school uniform, but the girl version.

A darkish blue shirt with the Academy logo on the left side of her upper chest and a skirt the same color as the shirt, but slightly lighter. And her white socks going up to her knees.

The one on her right looked almost identical with the obvious exception of her hair and eye color. Her hair was black and her eyes green.

And the girl on her left, right in front of me, seemed familiar. As I thought about it I remembered. She was the same girl who smiled at me on the bus.

”Nice to meet you!”, the girl in the middle said. “My name is Hikari Deba!"

"I'm Eve Mirukosa," said the girl on her right.

"And I'm Haruka Munei," said the girl on her left.

We introduced ourselves one at a time. Rei went first, then Kensho, and finally me.

"We just wanted to say hey because we're neighbors. We're in dorm A-06," Hikari said.

It took me a while but I noticed Rei and Kensho blushing out of their minds. It's as if this is the first time they've talked to a girl.

“Anyway, we’re gonna go check out the other parts of the school. Bye,” she gave a wink and a little wave. Then they walked off.

“I think my face is melting,” Kensho said faintly.

“Same here,” Rei added.

"Great first impression I guess," I sighed.

I had no real feelings for this school yet. But I hoped that'd change soon. We walked inside to check out the rest of the Academy. Our first stop was the training gym.

***

As we walked in we saw all sorts of equipment. Treadmills, dumbbells, etc.

“Isn’t this a bit extra for teenagers?” I asked out loud.

“I honestly don’t know. But it’s good to know we have great training equipment!” Rei replied.

We all looked around a bit more than left to see the food court. There were a few students other than ourselves. They were in small clusters talking to each other. Once I looked back at Rei and Kensho they looked like they wanted to eat already.

“Did you guys not eat breakfast before you got here?” I asked them both.

No response. They were too busy looking at all the food stands there were to offer. Ramen, chips, soft drinks. They had it all, well almost. But it was still enough to feed the massive amount of students the Academy had.

While they were worried about food. I was worried about our classes. But that was of no meaning to them right now. I just stared at them as they drooled, probably at the thought of the food.
