I sat in the very back seat of the public bus. As I patiently waited to arrive at my destination. I started a new school year today and had to be there sort of early. I lifted my left arm and lowered my head slightly to read the time on my watch. 7:40 AM, the numbers (and letters) blinked. I lifted my head and looked around the bus. Seeing if my destination was near. Nope. Not yet.

The bus slowly decelerated. I moved toward the right side of the bus to peer out the window. A person needed to get picked up. It was a girl around my age. She had long brown hair and blue eyes. She boarded the bus and walked through the aisle to find a seat. She looked around and eventually sat down in the seat in front of me.

By the looks of her bag, it seemed like we were heading to the same place. She poked her head into the aisle and looked back at me. Then gave a smile. I just turned my head away. People don’t just normally smile at you like that. But I really didn't think anything of it.

“Next stop, the Magista City Academy of Aura!” the bus driver shouted through the speaker.

My stop was next. I swung my one-strapped backpack onto my right shoulder. I checked my watch again. 7:45 AM, it blinked. The bus stopped. A few kids like me, wearing the Academy uniform, stood up and got off of the bus. I stepped out through the back pair of doors. Once, I had stepped onto the cement sidewalk I took a deep breath and walked in the direction of the brick path before us.

I stood there staring at the large building. Then, a slight breeze blew my black hair (along with the yellow streak I had). The building seemed to be about 40 feet tall, or probably taller. I just stood there in awe gazing at the building for a few seconds. Until I gained my train of thought back.

“Okay. Now, just to walk in and get my stuff,” I thought to myself.

I started walking toward the building. There was a sign on top that read “Magista City Academy of Aura”. I took a deep breath and walked inside. That was the start of this journey.

Author's Note: My storytelling abilities are not very good (in my opinion). So please do not set your expectations to be high for the later chapters.
