Duel of Two Sides Arc [Begin]

March 17th, 2000 [12:40 PM]

Iker Kazama walked through the southern halls sleepily. He had gotten no sleep. He was still thinking about the incident with Drew and Anthony a few days ago. He wondered what motivated Anthony to go after them. Why did he go after her, he thought to himself.

"Hey, Kazama!"

Iker looked up from the floor. His vision was a bit blurred due to his lack of sleep. But his eyes focused. The person was Kai. One of his friends.

"Hey."

Kai just stared at Kazama. He knew something was up with him. But he also knew that Kazama wouldn't open up so easily. So he didn't bring it up.

"Wanna go to the food court? I'll buy you something," Kai proposed.

Kazama just nodded. The two headed off toward the food court.

They both sat at a medium-sized circular table. The table was large enough to fit 4 people, but two only sat. Kazama looked around the food court which was on the base level.

It had multiple food stands and multiple other students sitting down. This was a shock to Kazama as he had never really been in the food court.

"Your first time being here, huh?" Kai asked.

"Yeah, this place looks amazing."

He wasn't wrong. The school had an entire food court in one of the two main buildings. One thing still dragged on his mind. Drew Casey and Anthony Mendez. He thought about it.

The only thing he could think about. Four girls passed their table. Sitting behind Kazama. Kai had recognized them. They were Hyuri's friends.

"Hey, Aiko! Over here!" Kai shouted.

She looked up and walked over to them. She stood beside the table.

"Aiko, this is my friend Iker Kazama. He is the one Hyuri mentioned. The one that could help you," he told her.

"Oh, nice to meet you, I-"

"Kazama will do fine," Kai quickly cut her off.

She got confused.

"It's alright. She's fine," Kazama stated. "Go on."

"Well, thank you for helping me with my situation."

Kazama just looked at her. He was wondering about the origin of her purple hair. But he just brushed it off.

So, how will you be able to help me?" she asked.

"I'll use my own methods. I'll get on that case right now. Goodbye, Aiko," he walked away.

Both were confused.

"Bye Aiko," Kai went after him.

"Bye…"

They were in the southern halls. Kazama and Kai were going to figure out why they went after them.

"Hey, what're you two doing here?!" a random boy shouted.

"Never seen you two before!" another boy shouted.

The first boy pulled out a knife. Everyone knew their boundaries and they would make sure everyone else knew theirs.

Kai turned around, "Hey, boys just let us pass by. We have a meeting with Drew."

"Yeah, yeah whatever!" The boy ran at them with the knife.

Kazama turned around and kicked the boy in the throat. The boy fell back and grasped his neck in pain. Kazama looked down at him.

"Do not interfere with me," he commanded the boy.

He glanced up at the other boy. The other boy ran. The one on the floor followed.

"Finally, let's go…"

"Go where?"

Kazama and Kai turned around slowly. Drew Casey stood in front of them one hand on his hip. He had an arrogant look on his face. A smirk. They didn't know why.

"Wrong side, Iker."

That angered him. Kazama was born in Kanari. A country alongside a group of islands hundreds of miles away from Magista.

He lived there for nine years. They usually called each other by last names. He carried this over when he moved here.

"Are you angry now? Whatever you came here for isn't here. You can leave now."

Kai stood firmly. He dug his heels in.

"Wanna fight? Bring it on!"

Kai was confused. Very confused. Last time they saw each other Drew was being beaten up by Kazama afraid. But now he was acting cocky.

"Kai. Let's go back."

"Wait, why?! We just-"

Kazama glared at him, "Do not argue with me, and let's go."

"Bye-bye. See you soon."

The two just walked away. Their strike would be soon. When no one would be able to see them. It would be very soon. But first they had to make a plan. A solid plan. Drew smirked as they walked away. He needed to be prepared as well.

"I'll be expecting you soon, Iker Kazama..."
