There is only one way I'm going to survive in this world, and that is by getting so powerful I’ll be untouchable.

Of course, the only way this would happen is if I had great luck in my potential. If I had too many limitations, I would likely die within the next 20 years.

I don’t want to die young; I want to live a life to its fullest. I know that there are going to be millions if not billions of deaths during the novel.

However, there is nothing I can do currently besides training my body, mind, and reactions. Of course, I know where future items and skill manuals are but most of the good ones are guarded by high tier beasts and monsters.

The biggest issue I would now have been waiting to grow up. It wasn’t possible for one to awaken until an individual reached puberty. This essentially meant that girls had an advantage in the fact they typically reached puberty two years earlier than boys.

The best things I can do are training myself in various styles of combat, gaining knowledge about this world that wasn’t mentioned in the novel, and trying to figure out why and how I reincarnated into this world.

After all, what is a one-and-a-half-year-old going to do, lift a sword and start training with it?

No, the first thing I would have to do is learn. However, this task is actually easier than one would think.

Since my prefrontal cortex is still in its initial stages it meant that whatever I tried learning would be done at a much faster rate.

This meant I would likely be dedicating the next four years or so of my life learning from books about history, magic, and beasts.

I would mainly need to put priority on learning magic theory considering I had no idea how one would wield it.

This meant that the last two years of my learning period would be dedicated to it. I didn’t know for certain, but I believed that those two years made considerably more sense than trying to learn it right now, imagine if my father or mother saw me reading magic theory at one and a half years old.

* 6 months later *

Well, I was able to determine at least one thing. This world was much more similar to Earth than I thought.

In fact, I would be more willing to say that this world is a parallel to my original world because of the events that were shared.

Where things started to split was in the 19th century when a collision of realms occurred. The magic that was introduced to the world through a cataclysm led to the incursion.

Since the cataclysmic event the world has been able to see that we’ve been connected to a multitude of realms. The realms that were mentioned in the books I had read over the past few months were listed as the Realm of Beasts, Realm of Fire, Realm of Waves, Realm of Trees, Realm of Mountains, Realm of Death, Realm of Monsters, Realm of Darkness, Realm of ??????, Realm of Life, Realm of Advancements (This World), and Realm of Evolution.

Several of the Realms had been discovered to be a more neutral species such as those from the Realm of Trees, Realm of Mountains, and Realm of Evolution. However, with time and dedication our Realms were able to come together and form an alliance.

The Realm of Trees was a more naturalistic place in comparison to the current world of advanced technology as well as the progress that had been made to combine magic and technology. The Realm of Trees had been able to grow magical herbs that were able to heal almost any illness allowing for those who lived in that world to live beyond their years.

The Realm of Mountains was more advanced in technology than this world since the races of that realm had a worse compatibility with it than those in the Realm of Advancements and Realm of Trees. The biggest reason for the difference was the change in level of gravity. The inhabitants of that world had more compact frames as a result of the more intense gravity. In fact, the denseness of their bodies was what led to the difficulty of magic being able to infiltrate their bodies. Thus, their lives were shorter lasting than those of any other realm.

Finally, the Realm of Evolution, the realm was nearly the same as the Realm of Advancement except for a larger delay in growth thanks to the constant bloodshed. They were humans who had traits of animals with certain groups having more compatibility with magic and others having accelerated growth physically. This Realm had the best versatility amongst all other Realms.

Now for the Realms our world was neutral with. The Realm of Life was a completely natural planet it seemed. From the research into the Realm, it was discovered that there were no advanced life forms that would be comparable to those of the other Realms. Because of the fact nobody was there, our Realm was unable to form relations with that Realm.

The Realm of waves was a similar situation as we were unable to find any life forms we were able to communicate with.

The rest of the Realms were hostile. In fact, one of the realms appeared to not allow anything that traversed into it to survive but there was nothing that came out of it, so the alliance hoped that it was simply a void and stopped sending anything to it thus explaining the ?????? realm.

The Realm of Fire had demons. It was simple, we had no knowledge of that world because nobody had been able to explore it. Not even the almighty protagonist managed to survive there for longer than a few hours.

The Realm of Beasts contained the origin of the beasts that attacked our Realm and a semi-frequent basis. However, we were able to go to that Realm to discover it was really primitive. The world had a lighter gravity which led to the beasts growing massive sizes. To put it simply, there were fewer expeditions after a person found a mosquito the size of an elephant.

The Realm of Monsters was another similar world to the Realm of Beasts. The only difference being the inhabitants. The inhabitants were drastically more powerful and seemed like mutations between creatures, beasts, and nightmare fuel. Some even compared them to the kinds of monster you would hear from in ancient myths,

The Realm of Death was another realm we had no knowledge of because of its terror. The links between the worlds radiated with power and led to few individuals trying to research it. And when the few did try to, less than a minute after their corpses came back through the portal in a state of decay.

Finally, the Realm of Darkness. This Realm contained normal humans who had been infected with a sort of seed. The seed caused the individuals to lose their sanity and grow to an insane strength causing them to become disasters. We were unable to explore this Realm either.

That was all that I could find from the research. Now all that was left was getting stronger in magic theory and training my body.

Author’s Note: A pretty big info dump of a chapter but I think it should help it develop. I want there to be a pretty decent mix of action and info but it's hard to put a 1-year-old in a situation where there are stakes or fighting.
