The Book of Sevorech, Book One of the Guardians of Lajen Saga

Lila Doyle is a teenage girl from medieval England, endowed with unique powers that make her a target for those who assume she is a witch. Even her own mother believes that her powers are evil. Despite this, Lila would do anything to protect her family, so she finds a portal that takes her to another world, called Lajen, that Lila believes will be their salvation. Lila, with the help of Martyn, a young man trapped in the clutches of the despot ruler of this new world, tries to uncover how she and her grandmother's past fit into Lajen while doing everything she can to find a way to allow her family to find a safe haven away from the witch hunters in England who want to burn them at the stake.
