Chapter 48: V1.5 Chapter 10: Kanako-san’s Desires – Part 5

Several days passed and Kanako-san's father returned home.

It was relatively late at night and the apartment was only lit up by a few dim lights.

"I must say, good work, Hanae-kun, I never expected you to improve so much."

"U-um, Father, can you continue to make Mizuhara-kun my tutor? I still have much to impro—"

"Sorry, I'm afraid Mizuhara-kun didn't become your tutor because he wanted to."

"W-what do you mean...?"

"I was going to tell you this at some point—I threatened him."

"Y-you threatened him...?"

"Yes, now that he's completed the task I set for him, I'm not going to be able to control him anymore."

"But... why...?"

Kanako-san's father took a seat at the dinner table.

As Kanako-san tried to come to terms with what she heard, her father began making his way into his room. He had just had a long trip back and was quite tired. Her father made his bed and lay in the blankets.

A few minutes later, Kanako-san barged into the room.

"I want to transfer to National High School."

"But Hanae-kun, you were so against going to a school with boys."

"I've changed my mind! I want to go to National High School."

Kanako-san's father was taken aback.

Hahaha, Mizuhara-kun, you certainly haven't let me down.

"I don't care, I want to go there."

Kanako-san's father took a moment to think.

The Tachibana System, will Hanae-kun be able to last it?

"Hanae-kun, I'll let you transfer, however, I won't be able to protect you once you're there."

"One of my colleagues created the worst schooling system known to man and they're implementing it there next year."

"It doesn't matter, I still want to go."

"I like your determination, I'll make a safety net for you in case things go wrong.However, in the case something does go wrong, you'll likely never see Mizuhara-kun ever again."

Kanako-san still showed a face full of determination.

"Well, I guess it's settled, I'll sort out the logistics."
