Chapter 17: Chapter 16. Mikita Surrenders

A week has passed in a blink of an eye. The town was pretty much empty the entire week as no one from outside came.

Alex along with everyone stayed on the island, training rigorously without stopping even at night, much to the displeasure of princess Vivi and the happiness of Igaram.

The girl's physical powers once again went through a drastic change, making them even stronger than before by a large margin. Their Haki training finally began to show its results as they can now coat a single arm in armament haki.

The biggest result was shown by Nami who can now use observation haki. Though she could only cover a single floor of a house under her observation haki. Still, this was quite an achievement.

Princess Vivi however wanted nothing more than to sleep on the ship. Along with the other girls, she didn't sleep for the week which honestly made her very irritated. The fact that she had to do physical exercises daily was enough for her to start cursing Alex.

Igaram on the other hand was fully following his commands in these seven days regardless of the exercise Alex gave him. He looked very excited to train at night to improve himself.

Seeing his determination, Alex decided to give him the devil fruit of Buggy. He also made sure to train him even more properly so he would be able to protect Vivi in the future.

Today was the day, Alex informed everyone that they are going to move once again. He brought all of them back to the ship where the girls immediately headed toward the bathroom to take a long shower while Alex and Igaram sat on the deck.

Since there was still some time, he decided to take a nap while Igaram went into the town to continue to practice with his new powers.

After half an hour, the girls came back, dressed in new clothes and looking fully refreshed. Alex also went to take a shower while the girls began to prepare breakfast together.

While he was coming out of the bathroom after he was done taking a bath, his observation haki suddenly caught 2 people who were heading to the town.

"Finally…" Alex smiled slightly and continued to walk toward the living room. He has been waiting for the duo to come here for an entire week.

Entering the living room, he joined the girls to have breakfast while occasionally talking with them. After breakfast was over, everyone looked at Alex, waiting for his orders.

"Before going to the next island, we'll need to fight with two people who just arrived in the town," Alex spoke with a smile to which they all nodded, a little excited.

"Tashigi, you are going to fight the enemy girl. Make sure to keep her alive." Turning to look at her, he ordered her with a serious expression. When she nodded, he smiled and turned to look at Nami. "You are going to fight the guy from that duo, make sure to keep him alive too."

"Hehe, we are a team now, Tashigi." Nami cheerfully patted Tashigi's back, making the girl smile slightly. "We'll leave now, Alex. I want to assess them before fighting them seriously."

"Go ahead." Alex permitted them and then leaned back in his chair to relax.

The duo waved at everyone before they began to head toward the other side from where that duo was coming from. According to Alex, both of the enemies were devil fruit users however he didn't tell them about those devil fruits.

"They must be from Baroque Works, come to find us…." Vivi spoke, looking at Alex with a worried gaze. "They might have found something suspicious in my identity so there is a chance that we might start getting attacked by the other agents as well."

"We don't have to worry about some weak agents." Kaya instantly replied with a confident expression. "I and Nojiko are more than enough to get rid of such people." She glanced at Nojiko who nodded at her words calmly.

"Still, we are talking about one of the seven Warlords of the sea." Vivi once again reminded them. She was sure that Alex could get rid of that guy, however, she wasn't sure about the people of his crew, lasting against Crocodile.

"Don't worry about them, Vivi. If they work as a duo even the Crocodile isn't their enemy." Alex reassured her with a small smile to which Vivi nodded, albeit, a little hesitatingly. "Anyway, let's go and see the battle." Standing up, he began outside of the living room, followed by everyone.

"You don't seem that strong….." Nami spoke, a little bored with the current battle. She was yawning while her opponent was captured inside a barrier which was getting closer slowly.

"You are right, Nami. We expected too much from them." Tashigi also looked bored, looking at the enemy girl who was lying near her after getting knocked out by a single blow.

"Just let me out, I'll show you my incredible power!" The guy with sunglasses yelled out angrily, trying to blast the barrier however it wasn't working.

"Is everyone in your organization weak like this? You didn't even manage to make us move from our initial position." Nami asked with a mocking smile, her expression showing extreme disdain for the enemy duo.

"Don't say such rude words, Nami." Tashigi walked toward her with a stern expression. "They never tried to improve themselves which is what made them weak like this." Hearing her words, Nami chuckled but still nodded with an amused smile.

"It seems we are quite late, Alex." Kaya giggled, looking at the enemy duo's condition in amusement.

"They seem quite weak. No wonder, the battle ended so early. Nojiko spoke calmly, not feeling any surprised at this result. Though the same couldn't be said about the other two members.

"T-They are Mr 5 and Miss Valentine….." Vivi mumbled out the identity of those two people with a shocked expression. Though she soon calmed down. "I guess, I was still underestimating the effort that they showed in that hellish training."

Igaram's shock was now replaced with an eagerness to train more and reach the same level of strength as those two girls. He couldn't wait to get back to start his training once again.

"The training is showing its result." Alex chuckled and walked forward, attracting their attention. "Good work girls. You can leave them here and go back to get some good sleep." He spoke loudly with a small smile.

Nami and Kaya nodded at him and began to walk toward the group. The other girls also decided to head back to the ship to get some good sleep. Igaram also headed back, following Vivi closely.

The moment the barrier disappeared, Mr 5 immediately began to take out snot from his nose to attack Alex however he didn't get the chance as at the last moment, his forehead was pierced by a small rock.

Alex immediately agreed with a small smile. There was nothing to gain from this body except for the devil's fruit that was wasted on this guy.

Putting the devil fruit inside the system storage, Alex walked toward the unconscious girl. "Hey, wake up." He waited for her to wake up, however, there was still no response after 2 minutes. "Do you want me to kill you like your partner?" He said in a threatening tone.

"I'm up!!" The unconscious girl immediately stood up with a frightened expression.

"Name?" He asked in a calm tone, looking into her eyes.

"M-Mikita…"She instantly replied, nervously looking at him. 

"Are you gonna surrender or die?" He asked once again with narrowed eyes.

"I-I will surrender….." She didn't even give it much thought as her life was on the line.

"Good choice." He smiled at her before gazing at the place where the girls were present before. "Head in that way, you'll find my ship. Stay on it till I come back." He gave a quick order and began to walk away. "If you decided to run away, don't blame me for being cruel."

"I-I won't run away…." She replied with a sacred tone and began to walk toward the ship. She wasn't a fool to believe that he didn't leave any countermeasures in case she chose to run away.

Alex glanced at her for the last time before he disappeared from his place. It was time to meet the last person who had come with these two agents.

On the other side of the town, a tall young woman was running hurriedly with a panicked expression on her face. There was a cowboy hat on her head.

She had been hearing and seeing the battlefield the entire time using her devil fruit. She was surprised by the one-sided battle however she was scared when she saw that guy killing Mr 5 in an instant.

"It seems that princess Vivi has associated herself with him…." She mumbled with a thoughtful expression. It seems that a big battle is soon going to start so she also needs to hurry up and find that thing.

Reaching the shore, she climbed on the small boat and was about to move it with her devil fruit powers however suddenly she noticed a figure sitting on the ship, opposite to her.

"How are you doing, Miss Sunday or should I call you Devil Child Nico Robin?" Alex looked at her with an amused smile, seeing her nervous expression.

"I wasn't expecting the famous Supernova Alex to know me." Robin smiled, a little forcefully while trying to think of a reason, he came to her all of a sudden.

"Don't think much about this sudden meeting, Robin. I'm just here to recruit you to my crew." Alex nonchalantly said with a small smile.

"Join your crew? I am honoured however I have already joined a crew." She politely declined, trying not to sound rude. She was still unaware of his motives so it wasn't the best choice to act rude to him.

"Crocodile, right? Well, I'm going to kill him soon." Alex mumbled under his breath though she was able to hear it all. "How about joining me after that? I'm planning to take the seat of one of the Seven Warlords."

"That……" She wasn't sure what to say. "I am just a weak girl, why would you even want me in your crew?" She faked a curious expression as she was trying to see if there was a sudden change in his tone or expression. Though she found none.

"To become the Pirate King, I need to have someone who can read Poneglyphs which tells the way to reach the final island." He smoothly lied with a small smile to which she nodded. "You can think about it after the battle between me and Crocodile ends." Saying that he jumped back on the island.

Since she was sure that he didn't plan to kill her, she sighed in relief. "I'll think about it." She replied with a smile and then used her powers to move her ship, slowly drifting away from the island.

Alex stood there for some moments before he too activated his powers and flew toward his ship. It was time to train that new girl so she could run the organisation that he was going to create very soon.

Appearing above his ship, he noticed Mikita standing near the figurehead with a nervous expression. Everyone was sleeping right now even Igaram so she wasn't able to meet anyone.

"Hey, you didn't run away." Chuckling in amusement, he landed near her causing her to jump in fright.

"I told you that I-I won't run away." She replied nervously while her eyes looked around the ship in anxiety. She didn't even know what was going to happen to her from now on.

"Good." He praised her with a small smile. "Let's go, we are heading somewhere else." Saying that he once again flew in the air along with her before both of them kept flying higher in the sky much to the amazement of Mikita.

After some time, they reached the island which made her eyes widen in shock. She never in her life expected to see such a large island flying so high in the sky.

"Why are w-we here?" She gathered her courage and asked in a trembling tone.

"We are going to train here. I don't want a weak subordinate like you after all." He replied with a serious expression and began to look for a good place on the outskirts of the island.

"T-Train…?" She mumbled with a confused expression, not understanding the reason behind this.

"Yeah, I'm going to train you so you can use your abilities in a better way." He lifted a small tree branch and then he turned to look at her. "The first technique that you are going to learn is called Kami-e, a technique that would allow you to dodge attacks like a flowing paper…."
