Chapter 23: Chapter 22. A Small Celebration

It took him half an hour to use his Hypnosis skill on the top agents and after that, he made sure to take every piece of money from the Rain Dinners.

He also came across the Dance Powder which was what made people go against the King. He left it there so the King could prove himself to be innocent.

After that, he sent the unconscious agents back to the training island along with Mikita and her group who had just finished subduing the last low-level agents.

With this done, he sent the money inside his system storage along with the money that was inside the barriers that Nami had brought with her. 

Floating in the air, he began to fly toward the way where those animals had taken the girls earlier. Since he was flying at a very fast speed, it didn't take him much time to reach the capital city of Arabasta, Alubarna.

The city was built on a plateau, near an oasis. Just like the Nanohana town, Alubarna structures follow the conventions of Islamic architecture, such as domed buildings and towers.

He didn't land on the ground, instead, he kept flying inside the city to reach the royal palace. On the way, he even saw the large Clocktower where Crocodile placed the bomb in the anime.

After reaching the palace, he landed outside of it and began to walk inside, not paying any attention to the guards that were at the main entrance.

"Are you Sir Alex?" One of the girls asked in a serious tone.

"Yes, I am." He nodded affirmatively at their question and turned to look at them finally.

"Thank you for saving our kingdom, Sir Alex. We are grateful for your help." The guards instantly bowed slightly and said in unison.

"Hey, you all are Royal guards. How can you bow in front of a pirate? Igaram might deduct your salary, you know." He amusingly asked, making them laugh loudly. "Anyway, is everyone from my crew inside?" He curiously asked.

"Yes, Sir Alex. They all are resting inside the palace." After that saying, they gave him space to enter the palace with small smiles on their faces.

The moment he entered the main gate, a maid named Maidy came toward him. According to her, she was sent by princess Vivi to escort Alex to the place where his crew members were resting.

They first passed over the large garden before entering the palace which was filled with a lot of maids and butlers. On the way, she kept telling him about the palace and the workers who live there.

After walking for some more time, they finally came across a large door. The maid bowed slightly before leaving him all alone there.

Opening the door, he entered the room before closing it once again. Inside the room, a table with multiple foods was placed and around it were his crew members.

"You guys sure are having a good time here." He chuckled slightly before walking toward the group who was happily drinking sake.

"Come join us, Alex." Kaya patted the empty seat beside her while eating a piece of meat.

Taking his seat, he opened one of the sake bottles and gulped down a large amount of it before playing the bottle on the table. "Where is Vivi?" He asked curiously, looking around the room.

"She has some matters to attend to." Nojiko was the one who replied to him. "I'm pretty sure that she is helping her father right now. After all, the King is hated by almost half of the citizens of the Arabasta Kingdom." Nojiko said calmly while taking a sip of the sake.

"Mmm." Alex nodded his head, knowing full well how true it was. If the King had made one wrong decision, the rebels would have begun their war against him.

"Did you bring my money?" Nami looked into his eyes with a serious expression. "And what about the money that was inside that Rain Dinners building? I want that as well." No matter how much she has robbed from the other casinos however she was sure that Rain Dinners had more money than every other casino combined.

Robin, who was sitting some distance away from Nami, couldn't help but shake her head in amusement. The money that Crocodile took so many years to gather was now occupied by a greedy girl.

"Alex…" Robin called him out suddenly, gaining his attention. "There is a Poneglyph in this palace as well." She calmly told him while eating a piece of meat.

"What is Poneglyph?" Tashigi curiously asked, looking at Alex along with the other girls.

"Robin will explain to you. After all, she will be responsible for them in the future." Alex calmly took a sip and motioned Robin to speak about it.

Since everyone was now looking at her, Robin began to explain about Poneglyph and how they are scattered throughout the world. She also told them that she is looking for them to learn about the Void Century.

"Are they even useful for us?" Nami asked with a confused expression.

"They are important to us, Nami," Alex said in a serious tone. "There are 4 Poneglyphs that will tell us about the location of the last island, the same island where the so-called One Piece treasure is located." He wasn't much interested in the title of Pirate King however the curiosity to know about it was still there which was why he planned to go to that island in the future.

"Oh…." Nami was surprised that they contain the location of that mythical place. "It's good then. I will be able to make a map of that island as well." She giggled in amusement, making everyone smile.

"Don't worry about it, Robin. I plan to ask the King to let us see the Poneglyph." He assured her with a small smile, making her nod at him.

They continued to drink and eat for some more time, talking occasionally among themselves which mainly was about Robin's adventures on the sea.

After some time, the door was opened and Vivi entered the room with an ecstatic expression. "Haha, everything is finally solved, Alex. With the help of Koza, we were able to remove the suspicion that was on my father." She happily said and then took the seat right next to him. "Thanks for your help, Alex. I-If I didn't have your support, I don't know what might have happened to me and the kingdom."

"Will you stop crying? Everything is solved now, right? So why do you need to shed tears?" Alex joked with an amused smile while wiping away the tears using his thumbs. "If you don't stop crying, I will make sure to throw you in the middle part of that island." Seeing that devious smile on his face, Vivi immediately stopped herself from crying further.

"Hehe, she is still fearful of that place…." Nami giggled, gazing at Vivi with an amused smile. "You are such a crybaby, Vivi. How are you even going to rule this Kingdom like this?"

"You can't call her crybaby, you know." Surprisingly, it was Robin who began to speak for Vivi. "She spent her entire life in the palace, however when her Kingdom was in trouble, she strengthened her resolve and entered such a dangerous organization to find the truth. I have to say that a princess like her is very rare among the Nobility." Robin wasn't lying, she was quite impressed by the princess's efforts.

"She is right, Nami. You'll have to at least applaud her for doing all of that all alone even though the fear of getting her identity revealed was there all the time." Tashigi agreed with Robin's words and gave a thumbs up to Vivi. "You did a wonderful job, Vivi. I'm sure that you would be fine even after becoming the Queen of this Kingdom."

"T-Thanks…?" Vivi still had mixed feelings about Robin, joining their crew nonetheless she also felt pleased with the praise.

The crew once again began to eat and drink including Vivi who was now enjoying herself after having all of her problems solved.

After some time, the door was suddenly knocked on. "Alex, the King wishes to see you." From outside of the room, Igaram's voice came.

"I'll be there in ten minutes." Alex calmly replied, much to the disappointment of everyone. They all wanted to celebrate with each other for some more time.

"I understand." Igaram didn't say anything else and headed back to the King.

"I guess, I'll go and meet him now." Saying that he stood up from his seat. Though before walking outside, he turned toward Vivi while putting his hand inside his pocket. "I got something good for you." He took out a devil fruit and threw it toward her.

"This is….?" Vivi looked at the devil fruit with a surprised expression. Though the other girls didn't give her any time as they took it in their hands and began to inspect it with a curious extension.

"Which devil fruit is this?" Tashigi looked at Alex with a curious expression. Even Robin turned to look at him, wondering which devil fruit this was.

"Vivi can eat it first then check its power." Alex didn't tell them about the devil fruit, instead, he walked toward the door. "It will make her very strong if she can master this devil fruit." After saying that, he walked out of the room and closed the door.

"Hey, eat it quickly..!!" Nami threw the devil fruit toward Vivi. "I wanna see what ability you will get." She was quite excited as it had been a long time since one of the crew members ate a devil fruit.

Vivi took a small bite of the devil fruit however she immediately began to spit it out because of its disgusting taste, making the girls chuckle in amusement.

"H-How do I check my ability?" She turned to look at Nojiko with a confused expression.

"You can try to cut your hand if it's a Logia, you won't be hurt however if not then……" Robin suggested with a small smile, causing everyone to look at her with a weird gaze. They couldn't believe that someone would give this kind of suggestion to a fellow crew member.

Vivi on the other hand began to think about it. She lifted one of the forks from the table and then looked at Kaya. "If I get injured, make sure to heal me quickly. Even though this level of pain would be nothing, it will still make me sad to see my blood flowing out.

She was about to stab her hand, but Tashigi stopped her from doing that. Instead, she gave her sword to Vivi. "Just make a small cut on one of your fingers. Why are you dumb enough to stab your hand?" Hearing that mocking tone, Vivi blushed in embarrassment however she did what she was instructed.

Putting her index finger on the sheath, she moved it slightly. Though instead of cutting it, the sheath passed through it while covered in a small amount of sand.

"Warlord Crocodile devil fruit..!!" Robin's eyes widened in shock, seeing the familiar sand. She had been seeing it for at least 4 years along with the destruction that it causes. "You are very lucky, Vivi. It's an incredible devil fruit." She congratulated her with a small smile and was now even more curious about Alex, a guy who could give out such powerful devil fruits to someone who was probably not even gonna sail with him in future.

"Another Logia devil fruit user……" Nami mumbled with a small smile however it was instantly replaced with a devious smile. "Hehe, let me cut you, Vivi~~. I'm sure that you won't get hurt."

"NO!!!!"

Alex was right now in the garden along with the King and Igaram. Following them behind were two royal guards who were in the highest position in the military after Igaram.

"I'm very grateful for your support, young man. You not only saved my Kingdom, but you also helped my daughter to grow strong emotionally." The King spoke in an amiable tone while looking at him with a pleased expression.

"I didn't help the Kingdom, I just helped Vivi to solve her little problems as she is a part of my crew," Alex replied in a calm tone as it was indeed the truth. He only came to Arabasta for Vivi, Robin and the organization. Except for these, he didn't care about anyone else.

"Hahaha….." King Cobra laughed out loud after hearing his words. "You are just like what Igaram described to me." Saying that he began to chuckle once again.

"Anyway, did Vivi inform you about the proposal that I explained to her?" Alex calmly asked however the King's expression instantly turned serious after hearing those words.

"She did notify me about that." King Cobra nodded his head in affirmation before his expression turned grim. "Tell me, why do you want me to betray the World Government?"
