Chapter 22: Chapter 21. End Of Crocodile

Rainbase is a luxurious, booming city with many casinos and restaurants. It was the only city which wasn't affected by the lack of rain in the Arabasta Kingdom.

The Rainbase Lake is a very large oasis, outright resembling a lake, located in the middle of the Rainbase. Above the lake, Rain dinners building was situated.

Even though the city appeared to be quite calm it was the opposite that was happening throughout the city. The city was the place where Baroque Works headquarters was present so Mikita along with her group was here as well.

She was recruiting the minions and the agents in her newly created organization; if they were denying it, she was simply ordering her group to beat that person.

Since there was no choice, to begin with, the minions had to join the new organization which made them the enemy of the previous organization members.

The single-digit agents and their partners were not present to stop the Mikita group as they were all attending a meeting hosted by Mr 0 suddenly. According to him, after this meeting, they would start their plan for Utopia.

In half an hour, the Mikita group which only consisted of 4 people now had more than 100 people in it. Though they were all minions however it was still a very big thing.

The more her group number increased, the fewer people denied her proposal. After all, they didn't want to get beaten up by so many people at the same time.

While this was happening throughout the city, Alex along with the girls also landed at the entrance of the city.

"How did no one question him about this developed city, Vivi?" Nami asked with a surprised expression causing Vivi to smile in awkwardness. "You know the entire Kingdom is in bad condition yet a place run by a Warlord is in such good condition, how did no one feel suspicious of this?"

"Did you forget her words, Nami?" Tashigi lightly slapped the back of Nami's head. "Before starting all of this, he first got himself a lot of positive reputation which is why no one was suspicious of him."

"I know that but still……" Nami didn't know how to explain it in words. In the end, she simply closed her mouth.

"She is right, Nami. He saved people when even the King couldn't do anything. I'm sure that for people, he is akin to their Messiah." Nojiko agreed with Tashigi's words. She has seen how much people get influenced when you save them at their worst point. "You should be pleased, you know. He accumulated all of this wealth just for you to grab it today."

Hearing those words, Nami's eyes immediately turned into Bellies' sign. Grabbing Tashigi's hand, she began to walk hurriedly inside the city. "I'll be going first, Alex. See you there."

"She is very different from you…." Kaya mumbled with an amused smile, looking at the duo in front of her.

Nojiko chuckled slightly, not knowing what to say. "At least, she isn't robbing civilians…." She replied with a helpless smile.

Alex quickly scanned the entire city and found the location of those agents along with that Warlord. "Do you all wish to sightsee the city first or directly attack that guy? He is inside the city along with his top agents."

"What do you think, Vivi?" Kaya turned to look at the princes with a curious expression. "What should we do first? Should we get rid of your problem before having fun?

"Uhh…." Vivi was a little confused by the sudden question. "We should first get rid of that guy. After that, we'll be free to do whatever we want." There is a chance that he might harm the civilians if he was left alone for a long time especially after he hears about Alex's arrival.

"Then, we will get rid of him first before doing anything else." Since no one was against Vivi's suggestion, Alex decided to go with it.

"Yeah, let's go and kick some ass…." Kaya excitedly said and moved forward, followed by everyone else.

On the way, they saw many casinos, filled with a lot of people who seemed excited at the prospect of winning money easily.

After some time, they finally reached Rainbase lake and saw the Rain Dinners as well. Unlike the other casinos, this was guarded by a lot of security guards who were scanning every person that was going inside.

Not paying any attention to them, Alex took a step forward and used his Conqueror Haki, effectively causing everyone in the Casino to fall unconscious.

"This…..?" Vivi looked at the scene with a shocked expression, unlike the other girls who were quite calm. She had never seen such an ability unlike them. "With this alone, he would be able to defeat a large army all alone….." She mumbled with an amazed tone, feeling her admiration quickly rising for her captain.

While she was amazed by this, from the other side, Nami and Tashigi came toward the group behind them, there were a lot of small barriers which had a lot of money. Seeing this, everyone chuckled at her however no one said anything.

In the underground room where Crocodile was having a meeting with his subordinates turned to look above with a surprised expression. "Are there any noteworthy pirates who came to this Kingdom recently?" 

The agents around him looked at him with a confused expression. Though unlike them, Robin came forward to answer his question. "The newest pirate crew that arrived belongs to Alex, the captain of the Flying Pirates."

"That guy…?" Crocodile muttered under his breath, a little surprised that someone from the weakest sea has that power. "I guess, it wasn't a complete fluke that he managed to defeat that old Shiki. Still, does he think that he can go against me as well?"

"The meeting is postponed for now. I have to crush some worthless pirates…" Saying that his entire body turned into the sand as he headed toward the enemy.

"Let's go as well," Mr1 said with a serious expression and began to walk upstairs, followed by his partner. The other agents looked at him and then also walked toward the stairs.

"He is finally here…." Robin mumbled, gazing at the table with a thoughtful look. She remembers his words however she still didn't know whether to accept them or not.

Outside of the building, Alex calmly waited for the Warlord. "Nami, make sure to cover this entire area in a barrier. I don't want him to run away." He ordered her with a serious expression to which she nodded and instantly deployed a barrier. 

Right after the barrier surrounded them, a large amount of sand came out of the building and formed a human shape. "You sure are cocky for someone who has been a pirate for just some months." Crocodile said in a mocking tone, gazing at Alex in disdain.

"And you sure talk a lot for someone who is gonna die very soon." Saying that Alex activated his devil fruit powers and sent hundreds of small rocks toward Crocodile.

"Kuhaha….I thought you were smarter than this." Crocodile laughed mockingly and let the rocks pierce his body which didn't affect him. "You can only touch me if you use Haki, however even then, you'll still die today." Though before, he could use his abilities to attack Alex, he suddenly fell to his knees.

"H-How…..?" He looked at Alex with a shocked expression, holding his neck with his right hand to stop the blood from gushing out.

"Hahaha…." Alex along with everyone from his crew laughed out loud, seeing the former arrogant Warlord in such a pathetic situation. "Do you think that I was only throwing rocks in your direction? Among those rocks, there was a locket made out of sea stone." He couldn't help but shake his head in disappointment for not getting a good fight. "I thought you were proficient in at least Observation Haki, alas, you turned out to be someone who solely relies on his devil fruit…"

"You said, he was very strong, Vivi but he is so pathetic….." Kaya looked at the princess with a confused expression along with everyone else.

"Well….." She doesn't even know what to say at this point. She was expecting him to be very cunning and dangerous yet he made such a rookie mistake. Even she never makes such mistakes when Alex attacks her like this while training her.

"Tashigi, Mr1 is coming out…" Alex suddenly spoke, looking at her with a serious expression. "Show me your steel-cutting skills. Nojiko makes sure to knock out the other agents." He said with a smile to which both of the girls nodded.

He then walked toward Crocodile who was trying very hard to take out the sea stone locket from his neck, however, he was too powerless to even do that.

"Look at yourself, Crocodile. You look so pathetic right now." Alex taunted with a small smile causing the Warlord to grit his teeth in anger. "I'm sure that even Whitebeard would feel pity if he looked at your current self."

"Bastard!!" Crocodile cursed out loud when he heard that name. He loathed that man but now, he despised Alex more than him. 

Seeing this, Alex chuckled amusingly before squeezing the neck of the Crocodile, killing him instantly. Taking out the locket from the neck, he rubbed it on the clothes of the corpse before wearing it around his neck.

[Does the host wish to plunder the corpse of Warlord Crocodile?]

"Plunder." He mumbled with a smile on his face and began to walk away from the corpse.

[Congratulations host for plundering Suna-Suna no mi. It has been placed inside the system storage.]

After he walked back to his crew members, the doors of Rain Dinners were opened and from them, the other agents came out including Robin. Though they were instantly horrified when they saw the corpse of their boss.

"How?" Even Robin who stays calm couldn't help but look at Alex in shock. She was expecting Alex to struggle or possibly die against Crocodile yet he is fine while her boss's corpse has gotten cold.

Not giving them any time to react, Alex motioned Tashigi and Nojiko to make their moves. Though he signalled her not to attack Robin.

Tashigi instantly took out her sword and moved forward quickly before slashing her sword at Mr1. Though it was blocked by him as multiple blades appeared on his arms.

"Don't get cocky, woman." Saying that he began to use his powers to move the blades at a rapid speed and attacked Tashigi. "My body is made of steel which makes me invincible when I fight swords, users, like you."

His words were full of pride however the confidence came after working for so many years as an assassin and then working as the top agent of Baroque Works.

Tashigi didn't say anything, instead, she raised her sword once again and attacked him. Though this time, her sword easily cut through blades that were on his arms before cutting his chest vertically causing him to fall to his knees.

"Thanks for being my target today. Thanks to you, I have successfully shown the new skills to my captain." Saying that with a small smile, she walked toward her group, not paying any attention to him anymore. Her words however caused him to spit out some blood in shame before he went unconscious.

Nojiko created many large tree branches before slapping everyone with them. A single slap of it was enough to knock out all of them much to her amusement.

"Both of you did well." Alex clapped his hands and said with a smile on his face. He then turned to look at Vivi who was feeling ecstatic right now. "Vivi, take everyone to your palace. I'll join you guys after some time."

"I understand." Vivi nodded instantly and wanted to say something more, however, suddenly the entire place was filled with loud footsteps.

Nami removed the barrier from the surroundings and turned to look at the place from where the footsteps sounds were coming.

"Karoo!!!" Vivi excitedly said, looking at her pet which was now heading toward her. Behind the Karoo, there were at least 10 more figures similar to it.

"Everyone, go with Vivi to the royal palace. I'll come after some time." Alex ordered everyone with a stern gaze, not giving them any chance to say no. "And make sure to take her with you. She is Nico Robin, one of us."

"New member?" Kaya curiously walked toward the newest member. "My name is Kaya. It's nice to meet you, Robin." She politely introduced herself with a small smile.

"Nice to meet you too, Kaya." Robin forcefully calmed herself and replied with a smile. Her eyes curiously wandered on Kaya as she seemed on guard against her for some time, unlike the others.

The other girls too introduced themselves to her one by one including Vivi. Though she was very suspicious of Robin due to her identity as the partner of Crocodile.

After that, the girls climbed on the back of the animals and began to wave at Alex who simply chuckled at their behaviour.

"Keep it in mind that Nico Robin is from our crew. If someone in the royal palace decided to do something against her, it would be the same as going against me." Alex spoke in a serious tone, looking at Vivi with a narrowed gaze.

"D-Don't worry, Alex. I'll make sure that nothing like this happens." Vivi replied with a nervous smile, having someone like Alex against you isn't the best thing to do. Though she never planned to do anything against her to begin.
