Chapter 31: Chapter 30. Lets Head Back To East Blue

The ark kept flying at a very fast speed, heading straight into space. Since the ark was using its lightning as a power source, it was able to maintain the same speed throughout the journey.

After some time, he finally came out of the Earth; however, as he had expected, he was still able to breathe in space for some reason. He wasn't sure why it happened, maybe it happened because of his Logia devil fruit.

He looked around himself and saw a lot of meteorites flying around him, going in their separate ways. The distance between him and Moon was slowly getting short so he powered up the ark, even more, to reach it in the lowest time.

He finally reached the surface of the Moon after flying for 1 day straight. It was quite a tiresome journey, thankfully, his Logia devil fruit power was very helpful as it allowed him to fly at a speed that wasn't possible by normal means.

The ark landed on the surface and then, he jumped off from it. The surface looked like the one that he had seen in pictures in his previous life. However, he knew that there were a lot of precious things here.

He then began to explore the moon's surface with a curious look on his face; however, after some time, he got bored since there was nothing to look at.

When he was heading toward the other side of the ark, he suddenly felt a lot of electric signals moving which meant that there were people on the Moon. This was one of the passive abilities that he had gotten after becoming a lightning human.

He flew in the air and headed straight to the place where he sensed those presences. On the site, there was a large crater formed on the surface and 4 small creatures were lying unconscious in it.

He landed near the crater and then used his lightning to attack those creatures; however, instead of killing them, the lightning instead charged them completely.

The creatures or should he say Automata began to open their eyes one by one while looking around themselves in confusion. Though their confused expressions were insanity replaced by a grateful look when they noticed Alex standing near them.

"Thanks for saving us. My name is Spacey. I'm the first lieutenant." One of them introduced himself.

"I am Colonel Macro." The second creature introduced himself.

"I am the General Galaxy." The third creature introduced himself.

"I am Sergent Cosmo." The fourth and the last creature introduced himself.

When everyone was done introducing themselves, Alex too introduced himself while looking at them. They were all robotic animal-like creatures, similar in appearance to each other, all with the same face and moustache.

Though before they could all talk, an explosion happened some distance away from them. Seeing that, Alex instantly disappeared from his place and appeared on the ship that just landed on the Moon's surface. It belonged to animal-like creatures who claimed themselves to be space pirates.

Without giving them any time, he took out the sea-stone sword and cut down all of them in multiple pieces, killing them all in an instant.

"Plunder." Alex mentally said and then looked at their spaceship. It was very advanced compared to the ships that were on the Grand Line.

[Congratulations host for plundering the passive ability to breathe in space. In case, if your devil fruit doesn't work, it will keep you alive in space.]

"Nice, it's quite useful…." He was a little disappointed since he didn't get anything more, however, this was also decent.

"Captain Alex!" The four automata came to him hurriedly with worried expressions; however, it was soon replaced by a delighted glance when they noticed the dead bodies of those space pirates. 

"You hold some kind of grudge against these guys?" Alex asked curiously, pointing toward the dead bodies which were cut into multiple parts.

The first Automate Spacey began to tell him the reason why they all hated these space pirates. It turned out that these four guys were actually from Grand Line and were living on Karakuri island where they were all created by Professor Tsukimi who was a very kind old man.

Though one day when they were all eating snacks while watching the moon, an explosion happened on the moon which caused the old man to choke on that snack which resulted in his death. After giving him a proper burial, the four of them came to the Moon to take revenge however they weren't able to fight those space pirates.

Alex calmly nodded at them and then motioned them to follow him. He landed inside the place where the explosion had happened and came to an underground city.

On the walls, countless pictures were placed which told the history of this city called Birka. He glanced at them for a second and headed deep inside the city to look for those other Automata.

After some time, he finally came across the powerless Automata that were standing near the wall. They were more than 10 thousand in number which caused him to smile in excitement.

Raising his hand in the air, he attacked the entire city with a powerful lightning strike; however, instead of damaging it, it charged the power of the ancient city along with the Automata that were standing powerless inside it.

"Let's do some things before going back to the Earth."

"When is he going to come back?" Tashigi asked loudly while eating a piece of meat. "I wanna eat some whale meat that he has."

"Haha, he will feel bad, you know if you only remember him for something like this." Robin giggled at her words, holding a sake bottle in her hands before taking a sip from it. "He just instructed me to meet you all. He didn't mention when he is going to come back."

A day had already passed since Alex went somewhere all alone. The inhabitants of this Sky island were very eager to meet him especially when they found out that he killed that vicious God.

Since the Upper Yard was now a free property for anyone to visit and the legendary bell rang, the Skypieans and the Shandians stopped the war among themselves which was happening for a long time. Another reason was that they didn't want to get on the bad side of Alex who was someone that managed to kill God without even getting injured. Regardless of their hatred toward God, they knew that he had absolute power in the entire Sky island.

They all wanted to celebrate their freedom however the chief of the Shandia tribe told them to hold it for now as he believed that it would be better if they wait for their saviour.

Right now, the girls were on the deck of their ship, surrounded by a lot of grilled meat and liquor that they had gotten from Sky island. Though compared to the ones that they have in Grand Line, it was quite bland.

"I'm thinking of heading back to East Blue for some time. I need to meet my family." Tashigi took another bite of the meat and said with a serious expression. "My father will be very happy if he sees me after such a long time."

Hearing her words, everyone turned to look at her with surprised expressions except for Robin who calmly drank her sake.

"Alex told us that you don't have any family," Nami said with a confused expression. The same expression was on the other girl's faces as they too knew that Alex did say something like this when they were planning to kidnap Tashigi.

"He was indeed right, however, this is something that I just recently found out since a lot of my memories came back," Tashigi replied calmly and continued to explain. "Since last week, a lot of foreign memories keep appearing in my mind. I chose to ignore them first; however, gradually, the memories began to form a clear picture."

"How did you even lose your memories?" Robin looked at her with a curious expression.

"It happened when I was a kid. Some people had come to kidnap me when I was walking down the stairs. In fear, I forcefully got out of their arms however I fell from the stairs which resulted in memory loss. The next thing that I knew was that I was in an orphanage, living together with my friend Desire." She was confused as she didn't understand why someone would try to kidnap her.

"Do you remember how those kidnapers looked?" Robin asked with a serious expression. She has been in the Grand Line for many years and knew that there was a chance that some noble took fancy to her even though Tashigi was just a little kid at that time.

"I don't remember perfectly, however, I'm sure that they were wearing strange masks. They had long-sized coats on their bodies….." Tashigi replied with a thoughtful expression. While the other girls were puzzled at those kidnappers' appearance, Robin had a stunned expression on her face.

"Those were not normal kidnappers, they were members of Cipher Pol Aigis. An organization that works directly under the command of the World Government." Robin explained to her in a frightened tone. She couldn't understand how a normal kid managed to attract the attention of those people.

The girls after hearing those words began to discuss among themselves. They kept asking her a lot of questions which Tashigi sometimes answered and sometimes, she couldn't answer.

Alex after some time landed on the deck of the ship and then walked toward them with a smile. "What are you all talking about?" Saying that he sat next to Robin and took the liquor bottle from her hand before taking a small sip from it. 

Kaya began to explain to him the things that she just heard from Tashigi and Robin. She didn't miss out on any details that they just discussed.

"I see….." After she was done explaining, Alex began to think about those words. He was a little surprised that something like this happened in the past, however, in the end, he didn't think much of it. "I think you should ask your father if you want to know why they tried to kidnap you, Tashigi."

"Hmmm. That's why I want to head back to East Blue." Tashigi agreed with his words as she also wanted to know the reason behind the kidnapping.

"I will go back as well. I want to meet Genzo." Nojiko said with a small smile on her face while thinking of her father-like figure.

"I want to meet him too," Nami spoke with an excited tone, wishing to meet her villagers.

Seeing them get so excited to meet their family, Kaya couldn't help but remember the old butler who raised her since her parents died. She glanced at Alex and spoke in a timid tone. "I also want to go back, Alex….." She was a little nervous that he might get upset with her because she was asking him to stop his journey just so she could meet her father-like figure.

Alex chuckled at her nervous expression before he began to pat her head. "Why are you so nervous? If you want to see him, we can always go back, you know." Saying that he turned to look at the other girls who wished to go back to East Blue. "We will all go back to East Blue, but can you all wait for at least 1 week? I need to take care of some important things in the next place that we are going to visit very soon."

"I'll wait." Kaya instantly replied with a smile on her face. The other girls nodded as well as there was nothing wrong with it. Robin didn't care much about it as she would just follow her captain.

They all then began to eat and drink while taking among themselves. The girls wanted to know where he went however he didn't reveal the location and kept it secret for now from them.

After the party was over, the girls went into their respective rooms to take some rest while Alex decided to meet the inhabitants of Sky island.
