Chapter 35: Chapter 34. New Devil Fruit

It took him 2 hours to search the entire Enies Lobby for devil fruits or devil fruits users however in the end, he only found a single devil fruit user there.

With a swift attack, he killed that guy and obtained the Sabi-Sabi no mi devil fruit which allows the user to rust metallic things. It was eaten by a Marine captain however he couldn't bring out its full potential.

After he was done, he headed back to the place where the Franky House was located. The gang members were all inside the house and were waiting for him.

When he reached the house, he greeted everyone and then used his power to levitate the house in the air along with the people inside it and then brought it to the new city that was being created.

He placed the house in an empty area and then began to explain to them about the work that they had to do there. The gang members were initially unhappy when they heard that they needed to help the labourers, however, it all changed when they heard about the salary that they would receive for their work.

While they went away to begin their work, Alex stayed inside the house with Franky. "How much time do you think it would take you to create Pluton?"

"I can finish it in one month, however, the materials that we need are very rare so I can't say the exact time right now." Franky after thinking for some moments replied in a serious tone.

Alex nodded at his words and then closed his eyes. The materials that they needed were Adam wood, Sea-stones and a lot of other rare materials. He wasn't even sure where he would be able to find those unknown materials even.

"Can you create a weaker version of Pluton which wouldn't take many materials? I can provide you as much as Adam wood if you want, even sea-stone is not a problem however I don't know the location of the other materials…." Alex asked with a curious expression, looking at Franky who fell in deep thoughts.

"It's possible however I would need a lot of time for it." After thinking about it for some time, Franky answered in a confident tone causing Alex to smile.

"I have two rare types of ships with me and I'm sure that you would love to inspect those ships. Though I can't take you there right now so you'll have to wait for some time." Alex spoke with a smile before standing up from the chair. "I'll see you after some time." Saying that he walked out of the house, leaving Franky excited at the prospect of seeing two rare ships.

Before going back to Water 7 city, Alex decided to check something important. He spread the lightning web on the entire island and then began to read the thoughts of the people so he could uncover any guy who was thinking of betraying him.

Surprisingly, he didn't find anyone who had this kind of thought running through his mind. Though there was a chance that the person wasn't thinking of betrayal at the moment which was why he couldn't find that guy.

"In times like this, her ability can be very beneficial….." Alex mumbled with a thoughtful expression, thinking about that assassin girl who lived in the second half of the Grand Line.

Shaking his head, he flew in the air and began to fly down toward the Water 7 city. He wondered if the girls completed the task or if they were just sightseeing even now.

Landing on the coast where the Franky house used to be, he then began to walk inside the city while using his Observation Haki to find their location.

He did find their location however it seemed that they still hadn't completed the task since they were still roaming in the main market. "Shopping is a very dangerous thing. They even forgot my task….." He spoke with a disappointed expression and decided to head to meet someone else.

Waking through the streets at a fast speed, he reached Dock 1 in just 10 minutes. Though he didn't stay at the port, instead he began to look for the headquarters where the other disciple of Tom was living.

He first searched the entire 1st floor before heading to the second floor where the office was located. Inside the office, there were two people, one was the president of the Galley-La company while the other person was the secretary.

Pointing a finger toward them from the crack of the door, he released two lightning bolts which were powerful enough to knock out both of them.

He then walked inside and began to work on their brains. He only left when he was sure that both of them were now completely loyal to him. 

"For a better future, there is so much stuff for me to do….." He murmured with a tired expression while walking out of the room. He activated the lightning web and spread it across the entire city, wanting to communicate with Nojiko.

'Can you hear me, Nojiko?'

"A-Alex?? Is that you?"

'Yes, it's me, Nojiko. I wanted to tell you that you don't have to look for Kalifa anymore. I already met her.'

"I understand. By the way, we finished your task, Alex, but….."

'But…?"

"We did capture everyone however Robin killed two members by mistake……"

'Who did she even kill?'

"One was called Fukurou while the other was called Nero. Both of them died under Robin's attack which was supposed to knock them out."

'I see. Only those two died, right? It's nothing to worry about. Where are they now that you have captured them?'

"We put them inside the living room on our ship. All of them are unconscious at this moment since I used a very powerful sleeping powder on them."

'You all did a good job. Anyway, I'll see you guys later. Take your time and enjoy.'

"Mmmm, we will."

With this, Alex turned off the lightning web with a small smile on his face. He didn't care about some random guy's death, however, it is good that the strongest of those guys didn't die yet since they were all pretty useful.

"Hey, Nojiko, why are you dozing off in the middle of the street?" Nami turned back to look at her sister in confusion, seeing her standing in a single place for some time.

"Huh?" Nojiko came out of her thoughts and glanced at the girls. "Oh, it was Alex. I was just talking with him." She said with a smile and moved forward toward the group.

"How were you talking with him?" Kaya asked with a surprised expression.

"I don't know how he did it, however, his voice suddenly entered my mind and then he began to ask me about our task." She was very stunned about this as well however in the end, she didn't think much about it.

"Telepathy?" Robin mumbled with a surprised expression. "I wasn't aware that he had such powers as well…" Once again, he managed to shock her even though she has been telling herself that nothing would shock her anymore since she began her journey with him.

"You aren't the only one, Robin. Even we are unaware of this." Nami spoke while shaking her head. "The more you get to know him, the more mysterious he becomes."

"We can ask him about this sudden power in the evening, you know." Tashigi, who just finished the ice cream, suggested them with a smile on her face. "Right now, we need to hurry up and buy some clothes for us."

"Yeah, shopping is more important." Robin giggled in amusement seeing the enthusiastic expression of Tashigi who generally stays quiet. 

"Let's go then." Nojiko agreed with them and began to walk toward the next clothes along with the other girls. "By the way, Nami, do you think that devil fruit will be valuable?"

"I don't know either," Nami replied with a thoughtful expression. "Though if it turns out to be promising, Tashigi will eat it since she is the only one among us without a devil fruit."

"Hey! You can't choose it for me, Nami. I don't wish to eat devil fruit…" Tashigi replied with an irritated expression causing everyone to laugh out loud.

Landing on the ship, Alex glanced around before walking toward the door which leads into the living room.

Inside the living room, he noticed 6 people lying on the ground unconsciously. Their bodies were tied together tightly with a long thick vine.

"All of them are here….." He whispered with a smile and took out the sea-stone sword from the system storage. He first cut the vine and then turned to stare at everyone's face.

When he was done looking at everyone's faces, he stabbed the sword in the heart of three people who were not necessary for his plans.

"Plunder." With a small smile, he mentally commanded the system while putting the sword back in the system storage.

He was very satisfied with the harvest that he gained today. Lifting the corpses with his devil fruit power, he threw them out of the ship through the window so some hungry fishes could devour them happily.

He began to use the Hypnosis skill on the members who were left inside the room. "They all need to enter the CP-0 so I could keep getting the crucial news early." That's what he had planned for them except for Spandam as he was worthless.

After he was done altering their minds, he woke them up and then began to tell them the story that they needed to tell those 5 elders. In this story, Spandam made some foolish decisions which resulted in other agents' death however it was all part of his plan as he along with his father wanted to eliminate the entire CP-9.

With this plan, he was sure that those 5 elders would get rid of the father and son duo, the reason why Spandam himself would accept his crimes in front of them. Even if the father somehow managed to survive the whole ordeal, Rob Lucci would kill him in the middle of the night.

Alex then began to explain the basics of Haki to Lucci and after that was done, he sent the agents back to the city since they will be leaving the city very soon.

"Now, those 5 old men wouldn't think about Pluton blueprints as they have been burned by Iceburg……" Alex mumbled with an amused chuckle, heading toward the sofa. "Well, at least this is what they would discover from the mouth of their best assassin agents.

The moment he sat on the sofa, his eyes landed on the other side of it where a devil fruit was placed. He looked at it with a surprised expression before taking out the devil fruit guidebook from the system storage.

"Which one is it….?" He kept looking through the guidebook and finally found a page on which the same devil fruit was displayed. "Damn….! How did they even find this devil fruit in the first place?"

He was very surprised because this devil fruit can be considered one of the strongest Paramecia types to exist. It also belonged to one of the two Admirals who appeared after the time-skip in the anime.

Though for now, he put the guidebook and the devil fruit inside the system storage before taking out the devil fruit that he had just plundered from the corpse of Blueno.

"This is gonna be my third devil fruit which would be the most useful one for me….." Saying that he took a small bite of the devil fruit and threw the rest of it inside the trash bin. 

"Still disgusting as always…."
