Chapter 42: Chapter 41. Meeting The Girls-2

After the Flying Pirates left the Arabasta Kingdom, Vivi took control of it even though her status was still considered that of a princess, however, no one went against her orders, not even her father.

She first surveyed the entire Kingdom, going to every place with her trusted bodyguard Igaram and after that, she came back to the palace and began to make decisions.

She first used the entire stock of the Dance powder that was stored inside the basement of Rain Dinners without informing anyone because if the news had gone out about it, the neighbouring kingdoms might have gone to war with them.

The rain continued for 3 days straight in the entire kingdom much to the happiness of the citizens. She then used the money that Alex had given her and brought the necessary things that were needed to create houses for the poor citizens.

She also increased the salary of the soldiers promoting a lot of youth to join the military department. This caused Igaram to get busy as he needed to train them all.

With the help of Perona, she was able to spy on a lot of people who were quite rich compared to the other people. Whenever she found that those people were extorting money from the poor people or earning that money by doing illegal things, she ordered the other two royal guards to get rid of them and seized their properties.

Perona ghosts also kept an eye on the merchants who came to Nanohana town to either sell or buy stuff. When she was sure that they were honest with their work, she informed Vivi who gave those merchants special benefits inside the kingdom.

Vivi decreased the tax that citizens needed to pay to the kingdom instead she created a lot of workshops and let those people work there. This allowed those citizens to earn money and the kingdom also benefited from it as they sold those stuff to the merchants.

Overall, the situation in the Arabasta kingdom right was way better than at any other time. The citizens were happy, the soldiers were strong enough to repel any new pirate crew easily and the best thing was the economic situation was getting good rapidly.

Alex appeared in the garden that was attached to the palace. His sudden presence caused a commotion among the palace guards who were patrolling that area; however, they soon calmed down when they caught a glimpse of his face.

He called out one of the guards and told him to bring him to the princess. The guard happily nodded and led him to the throne room where the princess was having a meeting right now with some other officers.

Entering the throne room, the guard went back to the place where he needed to be at this time. Alex walked inside while nodding at the guards who were saluting him.

Inside the room, he saw Vivi sitting on the throne while the king sat on a different seat. Igaram and the other two royal guards were standing behind the king.

"Alex!" Vivi called out his name with a cheerful smile. She instantly walked down and proceeded to hug him tightly. "I missed you so much…" Not caring about the other people who were present in the throne room, she tiptoed and kissed him passionately.

King Kobra turned to look in the other direction with an uncomfortable expression. It was a little too much to see his daughter kissing a guy in front of him and that too with so much affection.

"I already informed you King that the princess has fallen in love with Alex," Igaram said with an amused chuckle after seeing his King's gloomy expression. "Princess seems to love him a lot…." Even he was a little taken aback however in the end, he was happy for her since Alex was the best choice for her.

"Shut up, Igaram." King Cobra gave him an irritated look causing Igaram to burst out laughing while the two guards behind him began to chuckle slightly.

Alex separated from her and then began to rub her head affectionately. "I came here to take you back with me for a month." He told her the reason behind his sudden visit.

"A month…?" Vivi was of course happy after hearing that. She turned to look at her father with a small smile on her face. "Father, I'll come back after a month till then please take care of the citizens."

"You aren't even asking for my permission now….." King Cobra mumbled with a painful expression causing everyone to chuckle. "You can go and enjoy your time with your friends. Don't worry about the citizens, I'll take care of them like I always did."

Alex then began to talk with Igaram and the two other royal guards who were trained by him while Vivi went to talk with her father.

After some time, Alex created a door and sent Vivi through it. He then walked out of the throne room and headed toward the other place where the other member of his crew was present.

He walked for some time and finally reached the room where Perona was staying. He entered inside without knowing and saw her writing something on a sheet of paper.

"It's been a long time, Perona," Alex spoke with a small smile and walked forward toward her.

"Alex!!" Perona turned to look at him with an excited smile. "Did you come to take me back with you? It's so boring here without you." She spoke with an unhappy expression while hugging him.

"Yes, you are coming with me for 1 month." He rubbed her head, much to her satisfaction. "You should go first, I'll join you after fetching up another crew member." Saying that he created a door and motioned for her to go through it.

"Come early, okay?" She said in a pleading tone before walking inside the door with a curious expression.

He chuckled at her tone and shook his head before opening another door to meet the last member of his crew.

A door opened above the Little Garden island, this was the last stop for Alex as, after this, he too would head back to the training island and will begin training the girls.

Using his Observation Haki, he searched for her presence and found it in the middle area of the island where those dangerous bugs and plants live.

When he reached that place, he saw a tall building there. There were at least 10 presences inside the building however all of them were on different floors. Surprisingly, he only sensed a single familiar presence in the building along with the person that he was going to take with him. 

He directly flew to the highest floor and entered the room using the window. There he saw Mikita sitting on a chair with a lot of Den-Den Mushi placed in front of her.

"Hey." He called her out before walking toward her with a small smile on his face. "How are you doing?

"Captain Alex, you are finally here. I have been trying to get in contact with you for a long time." She said with a relieved smile while standing up from her seat.

"My bad, I had placed my Den-Den Mushi in a different place." He replied with an awkward chuckle since he had forgotten that Den-Den Mushi won't work as it is stored inside the system storage. "You can tell me the important information right now."

Mikita began to think about the information that she received these days and finally chose the most important ones among them. "There has been a rumour going around that one of the four Emperors of the sea, Red-haired Shanks was seen in the East Blue some days ago. Though we couldn't confirm whether this was true or not."

"If it's Red-haired Shanks then it's true. You don't need to waste your time on it." Alex instantly replied with a casual tone. Unlike her and the other people, he knew the reason why that guy would visit the weakest sea.

"I understand, Captain Alex." She replied with a serious tone, not asking how he knew this. "Vice-Admiral Gion is looking for you, Captain Alex. She even visited Water 7 after getting the news that you were there however she couldn't find you there."

"Gion…?" Alex mumbled with a confused expression while leaning back on the chair. "Why would she look for me? For some personal grudge or something?"

"According to the rumours, she wants to find you as you are her little brother. Some people even claimed that she is very obsessed with you." Mikita answered calmly.

Hearing those words, Alex began to think about any sister that this body had in past. After some time, he remembered a girl who used to be very obsessed with him. Though she left with her parents when he was around 8 or 9 years old. 

"It isn't a big thing to get stalked by a Vice-Admiral. Though I wonder if she could be useful for me….." He muttered with a playful smile causing Mikita to giggle amusingly. "Is there any other important information?"

Mikita began to think for some time however she soon shook her head negatively. "There is no more important news as of now."

Hearing her words, he nodded and then asked her about the organization that she has created. He also asked about the new members and how she was managing them.

Mikita told him that after a certain time, it was very difficult to get new members for the organisation so she decided to buy the members of other organisations which worked very smoothly.

The top agents of Baroque Works took their respective areas on the sea and then went there to stay. They all created a sub-branch of the organisation there before merging it with the main organisation.

She then created a merchant group with the same name and began to sell products at half of the price of the other stores. This allowed the organisation to gain a lot of positive fame and she even celebrated with Vivi so no one would think of harming it as they are now under Arabasta's protection, not that someone could even do anything against them.

"So if I take you with me right now, it won't create a problem, right?" After hearing about everything related to the organisation, he asked with an amused smile. "You can leave a letter here, saying that you would return after a month."

"Don't worry about it. Everything is handled by my secretary, Marianne along with Desire and Alvida. Those three work like a perfect team and helps me a lot." Mikita replied with a smile and then began to write a letter regarding her sudden leave from the office.

"Desire and Alvida? How did you meet both of them?" Alex was quite surprised by the sudden mention of these two names.

"They both seemed to be in the same crew however due to not having enough supplies, their crew members died, leaving them all alone on the sea," Mikita began to tell him whatever she remembered correctly. "Though before they could die from starving, they met me on the sea. I gave them enough food and decided to take both of them under me after seeing their loyalty toward me."

"It was a good decision, Mikita." He praised her with a smile while thinking about her sudden luck. "They both are quite talented. If you train them decently, I'm sure that they would be able to become capable of protecting you in the future."

"I did train them however they soon got bored of it and wanted to take some missions so I permitted them to take certain missions like hinting at specific pirates or merchant groups." Saying that she put the letter in the pen box and then turned to look at him. "Let's go now, I'm very eager to meet the other girls after such a long time."

"Yeah, let's go. I'm sure that they are waiting for our arrival too….."
