Chapter 52: Chapter 51. Collecting Devil Fruits

Another week passed since Alex began to acquire different islands to add to his growing Empire.

This week was quite a peacock compared to the other previous week as the New World had finally calmed down. Everyone from the Champion pirates got their bounty who didn't have it previously.

The pirates who were already wanted, Marines increased their bounty level. This caused a lot of sensation in the entire world among the civilians however soon, it died down.

Even though the Marines had won the war against Whitebeard however they did lose a lot of their low-ranking officers so the Marines started a large campaign to recruit new Marine officers. They left the New World alone for now as it wouldn't be beneficial at this moment.

Right now, Alex was inside his room, looking at the bed on which a lot of devil fruits were placed. They were the devil's fruits that he had in his storage system.

"Which devil fruit should I give her…..?" He was going to meet his elder sister soon so he wanted to choose a devil fruit for her so she could rise to the position of an Admiral.

Since she was a person who relies solely on her sword, he was sure that she wouldn't like Logia devil fruit so he put them back in the system storage.

"Would she use Paramecia devil fruit power…..?" He mumbled with a thoughtful expression. Though after thinking for 2 minutes, he put them in the system storage as well. "I guess, she would waste them as well since her pride as a sword user might stop her from using devil fruit power."

In the end, a single devil fruit was left on the bed and that was the Mythical Phoenix Zoan devil fruit. "A devil fruit which can heal her instantly amid battle, she would love it a lot….."

He then put that devil fruit inside the system storage and then began to stretch his arms slightly. "It's time to hunt down certain people….." Saying that he created a spatial door and headed inside it.

In the next moment, he appeared above a Marine base and the person that he was looking for was in front of him. So without wasting any time, he sent a lightning attack on the guy, killing him instantly.

"Plunder." Saying that he headed to another place using a spatial door. Things have gotten too easy for him now that he had Door-Door devil fruit, not that he hates it.

When he got out of the spatial door, he appeared above seven islands which were in the shape of a ring. He used his Observation Haki and began to look for the person that he wanted to see.

When he found that person, he went straight to that place and found that guy named Simon, sitting on a large throne. Alex took out the sea-stone sword and disappeared from his initial place.

He appeared behind Simon and beheaded him with a single strike. After that, he began to kill the other pirates who were affiliated with him. After he was sure that every pirate died, he created another spatial door and headed back to the palace.

Appearing inside his room in the palace, he sat on the bed while taking out the Den-Den Mushi from the system storage. He dialled his elder sister's number and then waited for the call to connect.

[Alex! Where are you?]

"I'm at my home, Gion. What happened?"

[Aren't you coming to meet me? I'm waiting for you at Grove 39.]

"Why did you come so early? I told you that I would call you and only then do you need to come."

[Hehe, I was getting bored in Marine Base so I decided to come here…..]

"Wait for me, I'll be there in 2 minutes." Saying that he ended the call and then put the Den-Den Mushi back inside the system storage.

He stood up from the bed and began to create a spatial door to head to the place where she was waiting for his arrival.

On the Sabaody Archipelago, Gion was sitting inside a cafe and drinking coffee that she had ordered earlier. The cafe was empty at this moment since none of the pirates was willing to sit in the same place as the Vice-Admiral.

After some moments, Alex entered the cafe with a small smile on his face. He sat beside Gion while ordering a milk coffee for himself. "So anything new at your workplace…..?"

"Nah, nothing new. It's pretty hectic there at this time." Gion replied with a bored expression, thinking about the work that she needs to do there. "Well, The Fleet Admiral is gonna resign soon so he plans to use this time fully."

"I see….." Alex nodded calmly and then took the coffee cup from a waiter's hand who just arrived. He took a sip from it before looking at his elder sister. "How's your training? Is Kuzan teaching you properly along with Daz?"

"Kuzan is a very good teacher. He stays lazy always however when it comes to teaching both of us, he always gets serious." Gion praised him with a small smile. "As for the training, it's going good and now, I have even grasped the basics of the advanced version."

"Mmmm." Alex nodded and then took another sip of coffee. "I'm sure that it would help you a lot to reach the position of an Admiral." Saying that he put his hand in his pants pocket and then took out the devil fruit from the system storage, something he prepared for her earlier.

"You want me to eat a devil fruit…..?" Gion looked at him weirdly when she noticed the devil fruit on the table. "I like to use my sword more so I don't think I'll eat any devil fruit."

"This fruit previously belonged to Marco of Whitebeard pirates," Alex told her about the devil fruit. "I'm sure it will be very useful for you since it will allow you to heal yourself on the battlefield."

Hearing his words, a thoughtful expression appeared on Gion's face. "Since it doesn't give me fighting abilities, I'll eat it." She smiled at him and then took a small bite of the devil fruit. "Disgusting…..!!!'

"Every devil fruit tastes like this…." Alex spoke with an amused smile. "Anyway, try to see if you can bring out that healing fire on your palm…"

"Mmmm…." Gion nodded at his words and then began to concentrate on bringing out the fire. After some constant tries, she finally managed to bring out the fire on her palm. "Hehe, it doesn't give the burning sensation however it tickles."

Seeing her excited expression, he shook his head with a small smile and then took another sip of coffee. "Make sure to practice with it regularly until you can cover your entire body with it instinctively."

"I know that too." She gave him a weird look and then began to play with the fire. "By the way, I'll be busy with my duty from tomorrow, so why don't we spend today together?" She looked at him with hopeful eyes while grabbing both of his hands.

"Ughhh…." A lot of thoughts passed through Alex's mind. Though in the end, he affirmatively nodded at her causing her to smile happily. "Well, let's go to the amusement park first…" Saying that he finished the coffee quickly and then paid the bill before walking out of the cafe along with her.

With an ecstatic smile, Gion held his hand and walked toward the amusement park while sticking close to him, much to Alex's amusement.

The next day, Alex opened his eyes in the palace room. A small smile appeared on his face when he saw her sleeping on his chest.

Yesterday was quite fun for him and his elder sister as they both tried almost all of the swings that were inside the amusement park. After that, they went to a restaurant and had lunch together.

When they were done with lunch, Gion showed him a concert poster that was going to happen at Grove 35. She kept pestering him to go there along with her. Even though he didn't want to go there, in the end, he agreed to her request as she promised him that she wouldn't pester him anymore.

The music concert lasted for 5 hours and it was one of the worst concerts he ever attended even in his previous life. The singer had an awful voice yet the people who came to the concert enjoyed it along with his elder sister.

After the concert ended, she suddenly told him that she wanted to sleep with him tonight. Since it was her last request for today, Alex agreed and then took her to the palace where both of them had dinner with Elder Nyon who introduced herself to Gion. They then went into his room where she began to kiss him enthusiastically.

He began to rub her back affectionately while his other hand began to play with her hair. "How long are you planning to sleep?" He mumbled with a small smile.

She continued to sleep for 10 minutes and then opened her eyes. "It's morning already….? I wanted to sleep for some more time." She murmured with a depressed expression. "Morning Alex."

"Good morning, my lovely sister. Ready to head back to your workplace?" He asked in an amused tone.

"Mmmm….." She nodded and then closed her eyes again, not wanting to get up from the bed so early. Though after some time, she reluctantly stood up from the bed and headed toward the bathroom while motioning him to come with her.

With an amused smile, he too headed inside the bathroom and then closed the door, ready to have some fun with her. After half an hour, both of them came out with satisfied smiles on their faces.

"Are you sure that you don't want to have breakfast?" Alex asked with a calm expression while looking at her.

"Nah, I'll have my breakfast on my ship." She politely declined.

Alex nodded at her and then created a spatial door. "This will take you to Grove 49, the place where your ship is docked at this moment." Saying that he moved forward and gave her. a quick kiss.

"Mmmm, yesterday was the best day of my life," Gion said with a happy smile. "The next time, we meet, I'll become an Admiral just like you want me to, Alex." Saying that she walked toward the door with a determined expression.

"I expect nothing less from you, elder sister……"
