Chapter 62: Chapter 61. Little Garden

On Little Garden island, Marianne could be seen painting a picture of a dinosaur inside the highest floor of the Secret organization base.

"Hmmm….." She had seen a little dinosaur some time ago and decided to sketch it. On the table, a lot of papers were placed that needed her attention however she didn't pay attention to them since she considered them boring.

A spatial door suddenly appeared inside the room from which Alex came out with a small smile. He glanced around before walking toward Marianne who didn't even notice his presence.

"It's looking very beautiful." He suddenly spoke, startling her. She instantly turned around to look at the person and was quite surprised when she saw who it was.

"Alex, how come you are here?" She asked curiously and turned back to finish her sketch. "When are you going to send her back? My work is increasing day by day."

"She won't come back for a long time so you need to take care of everything in the meantime." He replied with an amused smile and continued to gaze at the sketch. "You know, there is a devil fruit that is perfect for you, alas, I can't get it at this moment otherwise I would have given that to you."

"Devil fruit? You can take your time to find it. I don't need it urgently." Marianne spoke in a casual tone as she didn't need devil fruit at this time. "By the way, what caused you to come here all of a sudden? Do you want some kind of information from us?"

"Nah, I just came here to meet Desire. I got a devil fruit for her." Alex said with a small smile.

"Desire? You can meet her in the other room on this floor. She should be with Alvida at this time." Marianna replied with a thoughtful expression.

Alex nodded at her and then began to walk toward the door. Though before he could open it, it was opened by someone from the other side of the door.

Alex took some steps back and saw the faces of those two people who entered the room. "Desire, Alvida, I was just going to meet you both."

"You are…..?" The duo glanced at him with a confused expression as they didn't remember meeting him yet he seemed to know them.

"Stupid girls, he is Alex, the big boss of yours." Marianna loudly spoke, causing the duo's eyes to widen in surprise. "If Mikita was here, I'm sure she would have given you some kind of punishment for not recognising him even though she has told you about him multiple times."

"So he is the big boss." Alvida curiously looked at Alex while walking inside the room. "I am Alvida, one of Mikita's assistants." She introduced herself with a small smile.

"My name is Desire, the other assistant of Mikita. It's nice to meet you." Desire nodded at him and then walked into the room. "So why did you want to meet us?"

"I was only going to meet you." Saying that he took out a devil fruit from his pocket and then handed it to her. "It's a devil's fruit that I collected for you so you can be helpful to Mikita in the future."

"What kind of devil fruit is this?" Alvida looked at the devil fruit with a curious expression. "Whatever devil fruit you'll eat, you won't become prettier than me, Desire."

"As if I want to become like you, a slippery woman." Desire replied with an irritated expression and then took a small bite of the devil fruit. "Yuck!!! It tastes like shit…!!"

"You have eaten shit before…?" Alvida looked at her with a surprised expression and then she began to laugh loudly.

"The devil fruit that you have eaten belonged to the Paramecia type. It is called Jara-Jara no mi which allows the user to create and manipulate different types of chains from their body." Alex explained the details of the devil fruit to her calmly. "This is a very good devil fruit for both offence and defence. If you manage to cover those chains in Haki, you'll be a very formidable opponent for anyone."

"This is a very strong devil fruit……" Desire glanced at him with an amazed expression. "Thanks for giving it to me." She bowed slightly and then she tried to use her devil fruit powers to create chains from her body.

"Hey! Don't be happy. I have a better devil fruit than you." Alvida spoke with an envious expression while walking toward her. "I will use your devil fruit to carry my luggage from one place to another."

"It's indeed a very good devil fruit," Marianne spoke with a small smile while looking at the girls who were busy playing with the chains. "Now, I want to have a very good devil fruit as well."

"Don't worry, I will bring your devil fruit very soon," Alex spoke with an amused chuckle to which she nodded. "Did you complete your sketch by the way?"

Alex stayed with them for half an hour and talked to them about their daily life in Little Garden. The duo was more than happy to talk with him as it was a very rare chance to see him. Though Marianne most of the time was busy completing her sketch which in the end turned out to be very good.

After that, he went to North Blue to get Mr 2 as Alex needed him at his next destination. After getting that guy, Alex created a spatial door and passed through it, reaching the Land of Samurai which was ruled by one of the Four Emperors of the sea.

There were three things that he needed to do here as they were quite important for his plans.
