"It should be somewhere around here."
Lala couldn't help but chuckle at the comical sight before her. Little 8 was searching in a small drawer for a paper with coordinates.
Little 8 turned around towards her with teary eyes. "I wouldn't mind some help here Miss Lala..."
Lala step towards the giantess and easily reached inside the drawer. Well, truth be told it was a little small even for her. Now wonder did Little 8 seem funny doing this.
"Is this it?" Holding a paper with several symbols on it did she show it to Little 8.
..
...
"Little 8?" Why did she suddenly became even more teary eyed? Was this girl alright up there?
"I hate my big body, I would rather be small like you all! Do you know how hard it is to find any clothes? I mostly do them myself! And..."
She didn't stop. Lala was listening to a monologue which she didn't think she would ever hear from a buffed giantess.
"The next problem is trying to find a partner! How should I find one if we are the only giant tribe here?! I refuse to belief that a human cou-"
A vein was slowly showing on Lala's head.
"Can we talk about that..later? I guess I understand some of your problems but at the moment I have to do something important." If Lala would close her eyes and listen only the her sweet voice she would have thought that it was her past self. She also only knew how to regret who she was.
Little 8 realized that she digressed and hit her head "cutely". The sound it made proofed the force behind it.
"I'm sorry, it has been to long since I could talk to someone else except my tribe. Yes these are the coordinates you need."
Lala didn't know what to say, the girl rose up a bit in her mind. When she comes back and Ghel were to be still unconscious. She would take her and go out. Drink some tea, have a girl talk!
"We will talk when I am back. Which ones are for Moon City?" Little 8 began to beam when she heard that. She gazed at the paper and pointed at a row of symbols.
The room became silent and the giantess was teary eyed again. Lala could only wrily smile.
"Just tell me which row."
"..the 6th one.." Little 8 took her finger back which was on at least 4 rows of symbols and turned around.
"Untill later Miss Lala." She halted her steps and turned with puppy eyes to Lala. The later understood what she meant without words.
"Stop calling me Miss...Lala is fine. See you later Little 8." This giantess needed some friends asap. She didn't dare to think about a Battle Giant going nuts in a human city.
Little 8 smiled and waved at Lala before leaving the room. When all was said and done did Lala begin to channel energy in the rune beneath her feets and she vanished.

Matriarch Ice was standing before a building while not knowing to enter or not. She knew that gazing into the stream of time and fate, was a big burden. If the world does want you to know something, there would be no cost. The opposite existed too though. That was why Diviners had such a high standing.
Deity Lao didn't always look like he did now. He went a step too far and got punished by the world. At least that was what the people believed.
While Ice still was conflicted inside did the door open and a Diviner bowed to her. "Deity Lao doesn't mind. But he already told you the necessary information. You will not get to know where she is."
The Diviner stepped aside and made a welcoming hand gesture to the Matriarch.
Ice nodded at him and entered. After she was lead to a door did the Diviner bow again and left. The door opend and another Diviner was standing before her. If the last one was having a professional bussiness smile, this one had an angry bouncer expression.
He wanted to say something but the voice from within made him shudder.
"So many times."
"Action and Words."
"Change flow."
The Diviner turned around and bowed. "This lowly one still has to strenghten my will. I will go and meditate." He turned around and gazed at Ice. The angry look was gone but the glint in the eyes was still there.
Ice would remember that face, no Fae should ever go to him. What if he lead them to death? She knew what those eyes meant.
When the angry Diviner was gone did she enter the room and close the door behind her. In the middle on the ground was Deity Lao. Still grotesque as always. No, did he have another eye?
"My price."
"Your price."
"Everything costs."
The three mouthes began to talk making Ice happy and regretful.
"Whatever you may need. The Ice Fae clan will always be in your debt." She understood what his words meant.
"Interested myself."
"Seen and unseen."
"Ask specific."
Ice could understand the first and last part, what about the middle one? She shook her head in her mind. Ask specific.
"Is..is she alright?" Her little daughter was missing for soon half a year. There was too much time to have something happen to her! As her mother she knew how Lala was. It was the reason why she protected her that much. If Lala were to hear this thoughts of her mother, she would instantly disagree.
Deity Lao was quiet for a moment before raising one of its arms. It came straight out of a horror movie. He pointed at Ice with it.
"Lie."
"Not interested in her."
"Selfish, regret."
At first did Ice not understand what he meant but it soon dawned on her.
"I-I always protected her from harm! She would have had a happy life not li-"
The mass which was Deity Lao began to tremble before all its eyes gazed at Ice. An eerie pressence overcame her.
"Lie."
"Selfish."
"Imprisoned, unchained."
"Not protecting."
"Reason why change."

"Go."
Ice bit her lips and her eyes became watery. She bowed and left. She didn't think the outcome would be like this. Was she really not protecting her? Her mind wandered of while she made her way out of the building. Not seeing a wicked smile looking at her.
Inside the room did the eyes of Deity Lao close one by one until only one was left open.
"Death or Life."
"A part of all."
"All one part."

When the light faded again did Lala see a scene which she didn't expect. A fish was looking straight into her eyes. As shocked as she was.
"Blubb?" Why the hell was she underwater?! With a thought from her did the water around her get seperated from the air in it. The fish, which also needs air to life, instantly felt the change and swam as fast as it could.
She gazed around herself and saw that she was in some kind of ruin. Not a big one, probably made only for this device. Teleportation symbols, check they work. The coordinates, check the ink is smeared by the water.
"Just you wait till I get back." She couldn't help but remember the giant Bort scratching his head while laughing.
"At least I'm very near." Lala walked out from the structure, now understanding where she was.
"A lake? Couldn't he have warned me then!!? Stupid drunkyard of a giant!"
Somewhere in Moon City was an old Giant kneeling before a tiny woman. "Hachoooo, maybe I drank too much?" When the giant saw the death glare of the woman did he instantly stop and stayed silent like before.
Back where Lala was.
She slowly ascended towards the surface and peaked out. She could only fathom where she was.
Around here was only a big building with pillars, by each one was a guard stationed. The building easily topped over 70m in height. The lenght, or was it the withed, unknown.
She used her divine sense to listen for any conversation. The guards were silent as stone. The building, the part she could reach, was too.
After a minute of not getting any information where exactly she was did she camoflage herself and slowly levitate into the air. Several guards instantly swarmed to the lake. Even though only droplets of water fell into the lake, something which shouldn't be heard by mere guards from this distance.
They swept their gazes all around but couldn't find anything. Even then, they made a decision which astonished Lala.
One of the guards took out a whistle and the whole building was lit up. It was only then that Lala scanned the guards around her. They were all in the Mountain Realm?
Whosh sounds came and went. A woman and a man came to the guard who whistled and gazed at him with meaning.
"Second Guardian, Fifth Guardian. Just know there was movement in the Lake."
The male raised a brow and gazed over the lake while the women rolled her eyes.
"You do know that there are fishes in the lake, right? Do you want to be tasked to watch the Fog?"
The male gazed at the woman with pity. "Do you think that a guard who is longer here than you have joined the Adventurer HQ doesn't know that, Fifth Guardian?"
The woman, Fifth guardian just shrugged her shoulders. Took of some outerwear until she was in her garments. Making the guards and Second Guardian twitch their eyebrows.
"Be back soon." With a plop did she vanish into the lake. Lala wasn't far away from them and has heard everything.
This is the Headquarted of the Adventurer Guild? It wasn't a joke when Ghel told her that adventurers were the freest ones. She didn't know much but alone the Second Guardian would be a hard fight if she still was in the Mountain Realm.
Wait they don't use that watered down art? Why didn't they tell this the world? What did they know?
She shook her head and began to fly above the building. It wasn't her priority or concern. She didn't saw that underwater did the woman who just jump in talk with a fish. Yes, talk. And what she heard made her questioning reality.
"Somebody came from within the Altar?" A glint appeared in her eyes. Not her problem, she would have to report and it was one thing that she really disliked.
Lala didn't know that someone was keen to her presence and gazed at the "building" from above.
"This whole place is a city?" She saw some big cities, this was not even close to the biggest one. Making a city out of a building? Let alone seen she never heard of it!
From what she saw was it build on a edge. Most likely the cliff of the continent. It stretched for about 5-6km on that cliff and did go easily more than 30km land inwards.
Surrounding the place was forest. Inside were many people shuffeling back and forth like ants. She also saw a path which led to the ocean which was heavily fortified.
"It has to come from that..why?" The calling she felt was from the inner circle. A plaza with a statues. That wasn't the problem, the problem was that there were many humanoids kneeling by them.
Her eyes wandered one by one on the statues. When she gazed at the 12th one did the statue open its eyes and began to smile.
"When the moon is high, you shall meet me here. Enjoy our old place in the meanwhile. Its better if you wait at the gates to the far east. I will send one of my believers to take you in. You mortals truly have some weird laws."
The statue returned to its former unmovingness. Lala was stunnend. This was a god? She did imagine it a little bit different. Well it was only her voice.
She flew for a solid minute until she arrived at what she thought would be the far east gate. She was in the south, water equals more south so if she went to the far right of the city it would be the far east, right?
She landed a bit further away and began to think. Her old granny form and true appearance wouldn't make it. A smile appeared on her face. She casted another illusion and began to walk towards the gates.
What she didn't expect was an elderly man sitting on a rock outaide with several guards trembling beside him.
"Master Ice, please come back in. We can't explain if something would happen to you. Why did you suddenly become so stubborn?" A women with an blue armor was sweating all over while trying to talk to the man.
The only thing she got was a cold snort and even colder words.
"Hmpf, you are tasked to protect me but all you do is nag. Want to be my wife? Be double as old and triple the looks!"
The surrounding guards were speechless. The old man suddenly sprung up and run faster than some young deers towards this gate. Now he was sitting on the rocks outside like some beggar. He was one of the highest ranked people here! Did he go crazy from studying the texts?
Some rustling could be heard and Lala in her disguise walked out. The old man sprang to his feet, withholding the pain coming with it and rushed towards her.
When he was halted by the guard who spoke with him before he immediately became enraged.
"You good for nothing! If you dare to intervene in anymore matters. You don't have to worry about me anymore but about what the Goddess Glacia would do!!"
The guard trembled and let go of the man. She was scolded by this quirky man several times in her life so she knew when he really was angry. She gazed at the newcomer and became dumbfounded.
"Greetings Envoy I-/ Little Sis North?!?" One voice cut out the other. Left were three people dumbfounded and several more people with questionmarks.
The old man, she knows the envoy?
The guard, wasn't Lil sister arranged to be Guildmaster in her homecountry?
Lala, fuck!
