Pap was shackingly trying to fill a cup of tea for Ghel while standing like a butler beside him.
"Mister, I assure you. I never did or intended to help that bastard of a Citylord!"
Ghel heard that sentence at least four times already. He didn't care, he was only very interested in that citylord.
"Tell me about what you know. If I'm content with it I wil let it slide, else I will report to the guild that you sadly passed away.."
The old man didn't think twice to know that this man could easily kill him. He may be a strong mage but the problem was he had to do hand movements.
The man before him would snap his arm if he even tried to do something funny!
"I d-don't know much! I only know that they wanted me to make some noise before the Blissful Life Inn. I had to make as much as possible to get his men a big enough window to get you."
There was only one possibilty in his mind, the gold coin. Somehow did that citylord get info about him having much money. Wasn't that a stupid reason to do that though?
"That Citylord..what kind of person is he?" Pap's eyes grew when he heard that.
"Y-you aren't from near here, are you?" Ghel tapped the table, making a hole with his finger which made the old man realize something. He was here to answer not to ask questions.
"He is a scumbag like it is written in the book. He is leecherous, moneyloving and kills indiscriminately. If it weren't for his heritage, there would be no way he would have this position. The only saving grace is the Guildmaster of the branch here. He never dares to do something too openly. He walks a fine line."
"So..you would say that there are many people who are in..say a crisis..because of him?"
The old man thought for a moment before nodding. "You could say that, yes." A smile began to form on Ghel making Pap shudder. He wouldn't kill him now, would he?
Ghel's smile suddenly froze and his eyes became cold. What a bastard.
"You wait here, I will be back shortly for the quest." Without even waiting for any response did he stand up and left the house.
Pap kneeled on the ground with sweat all over him. " I-I survived? No, he will come back?! I have to flee! I can't die yet! Not before.."
Ghel stood outside and anger flowed through his body. He just used his skill. If so many people were in a crisis there would be surerly some who were pointed towards that citylord.
He didn't expect to get this kind of response though.
People in Need! Several war slaves children are held captive by the Citylord. Some will be used as slaves and others for his pleasures! Re-kindle the hope of them and open the door to a better world!
Reward: Worshippoints
He didn't care one bit about the reward. There were not many things Ghel disliked. One of the topmost things were harming innocent people. That bastard did go one step further and even uses them as...
He began to breath slowly in and out. Remembering what Lala said about the Mountain realm. He didn't want to use ice, and even less his physical body. He wouldn't have the ability to hold back if he had to punch something now.
The energy in his body began to revolve, every breath he took in made another layer appear in his body.
Every breath coming out made the surrounding change. It was luck or destiny that the old man was such a good neighbor.
Underneath Ghel did water begin to make a puddle, evaporating almost at the same time. He could feel the two elements fighting each other at first. Only when the neutral energy did work as a kind of link did they begin to exist in harmony.
A clack made Ghel shiver and his eyes opend wide. "Mountain realm... But something isn't right."
The explanation was simple. The energy he used wasn't his. Not in the form like others did. He used his summons as catalyst to make his body forcefully able to use magic.
Now we had a Half-God of Ice and a Bird, which represented the fire of gods itself, as medium. How could it be anything than abnormal?
A plan began to mold itself in its mind and he gently said.
"Summon Calam."
Somehwere in the center of the Moon City were two woman enjoying a hearty meal, a bird beside them was already full and lazing around.
Many people were taking looks again and again over to their table. They came into this high end restaurant and the smaller girl took out 5 gold coins and threw it at the waitress.
How could they not be the center of attention. One was a giantess and the other was a beauty. Lala only hid her wings but else she looked like her true self.
Calam suddenly opend it's eyes and gazed into a certain direction. Its divine sense saw Ghel standing there on the ooen with an angry vibe coming from him.
Uhh! Did someone need a beating?! It loved that! How many times it did go hunt gods around just for fun! It always repriminded by her parents for that, now it hadn't them around!
Calam stood up and chirped once at Lala making her puzzled, when she saw the summoning circle under it did a bad feeling overcome her.
"Little 8...I think we need to take cover." Little 8 was perplexed, they still hadn't tried the deserts yet!
"Sis Lala, is something wrong? If anything would happen to the city there would still be Big Sister. Also, I heard from the others that Ghel did become suuuuppper strong!"
Lala could only twitch her mouth, sure. Just what would happen if he was the reason to take cover. She knew Ghel very well, he wouldn't just summon Calam for nothing. If it was something she could help with then he would have summoned her too.
There was only one explanation for that...he needed firepower...in its truest sense.
It didn't take long before a bird was jumping before Ghel's feet in happiness. A smile began to appear on his face. Gently moving his hands toward the mask and removing it.
"You can understand me, right?" Calam halted his exercise and boped its head.
"Good, very good. Say..how big can you grow, you can't lie to me. No way that this is your true form." The smile on Ghel became more evil by the second. Calam beneath it's new master instantly pushed the like button. It liked evil!

Aurora was in her office looking through reports she got today. One made her especially frown but her position made it impossible of her to intervene.
"Lauro..just because that scum's grandfather saved the Emperor once has he no shame in letting him do these things?"
Lauro could only nod in pain himself. A carriage came into the city today. Making its way to the citylords castle. It was filled with children in chains. War slaves. Even though they were children they didn't get left alone, most wouldn't do that but some lowlife groups hunted them for profit.
Some pressure began to appear in the room making Lauro take several steps back. "Guildmaster, there is no solution. I heard even the Emperor feels guilty but he can't just change his degree. To kill him would lead to even more trouble for him. Maybe if the gods would decide to pu-"
"Shut up, as if there was a god who would intervene in such a thing. Even if they wanted, they are probably held back by....OH NO!" A loud HMPF sound shook the city and several kilometers outside its perisphere.
Aurora jumped up straight through the roof but could only tremble when she saw the scene coming into existence.
"G-Godpheonix?!? Is he completely crazy?!!" She very well knew about the fiery calamity of the gods.
Some seconds before Aurora jumped out and saw the scene did Ghel pat Calam's head.
"Good bird, you remember the plan, right?" Calam had a glitter in its eyes like never before. Why did it never know that there was such a fun way to scare people?!
Ghel removed his clothes, except the slippers, and his body began to be engulfed in flames. "What a nice feeling!" Calam nodded to, it felt the warmth of his mother was even a bit lower than his new master/evildoer companion!
"Lets go!"
Ghel teleported himself into the air and hmpfed as loud as he could. Not only the get the citys eyes but to dampen the cute roars of his slippers. Yes, weirdly enough, the bear growl they made was cute.
A second after did a figure begin to grow above him. Only some people outside who instantly looked up saw a flaming being stand in the air before the sky was blocked.
You would say that the sun being blocked would make the place beneath it getting dark. This was a scenario which made the exact opposite.
Heat and brightness began to cover the city. Only when Calam was about triple the size of it did he stop like told.
First were the people feeling like they were in a sauna, the light made them think of the sun flaring up. Only when they went outside and saw the gigantic eyes menacingly staring down did they begin to kneel one by one. Praying to the god they beliefed in.
A booming voice began to talk high above in the sky before the phoenix began to vanish. Nobody saw it shrink and nestle itself on Ghels shoulder in happiness.
"Moon City!! This Deity is infuarated!! The wishes of lost souls have reached my domain, forcing me to see for myself if they told me the truth!
How lowly can one fall to not even spare children of their fallen enemies! Let this be a warning to this whole world!"
The fire figure, Ghel, raised his hand and a flame dome was surrounding the Citylords estate. Only Unfettered realm beings would now be able to enter and exit. Well, and the Battle Giants.
Teleported himself to what seemed like the entrance to the estate was necessary. He couldn't see through flames.
Two guards were barerly outside the field kneeling and shivering in fright. When they saw two flaming feet did their last mental fortress fall and they said goodbye to reality.
The flaming Ghel walked through the wall of fire to what he could only describe as hell.
"I think we overdid it. Calam, can you make the heat and burning affect dissapear?" Calam was barerly awake, it flapped one if its wings and some holes appeared to let air in and the heat was gone.
What happend would have been a logical consequence for him if Ghel thought it through. Closed space which burns? Equal air deprivity.
"The problem will be to find them...Summon Lala!" He was ashamed but there were not many better options.
It didn't take long for a certain being to manifest before him. The gaze was icy cold, the foot tapping the ground in a annoyed rhytm.
"Can you list-" Straight for the groin. As expected of the Ice Queen. Yeah that sounded good for her.
"Are you dumb?!?!?? What excuse is there for this?!? Do you even know what you did?!" Her gaze wandered to Calam.
"And you?!? I don't care about your lineage! If I ever meet your parents I will tell them this even if I have to die!!"
The flaming being was gone and a naked Ghel was kneeling beside Calam who did the same. Scary!!
Lala was still huffing for a moment before she finally could calm down. "Urghh, this is going to be a big pain in the ass! Ghel, put on some clothes. Calam, make the fire thiner and open the dome above. Now!"
"Now, tell me your freaking reason for doing this! I swear, if it isn't anything near a life and death situation I will talk to Aurora!"
Calam didn't know who Aurora was but he felt the asshole of Ghel tighten. sorry, I didn't know any better description of his feelingsCould it be that she was one of the Great Ones?
"That bastard of a Citylord has children somewhere he he wanted to use as slaves and nightworkers! How couldn't I do this?!" Very well, if he had to be almost killed by Aurora so be it. The crime of the Citylord was still unforgivable!
Lala squinted her eyes. "Skillquest?"
"Yesn't Ma'm"
Lala closed her eyes and opend them a second later.
"Second floor of the basement, go fetch them. I will join you shortly...a bit later."
Ghel gulped down and prayed in his mind. You told me to have a good reason for all of this? Why did you have that evil smile on then!!
"Chirp." Calam had a pitiful look in its eyes which made him twitch.
"We are in the same boat! Don't you dare think of running away!"
"Chiiiiiirrrpppp."
