Yao Jun's eyes narrowed sharply as his gaze snapped to his right arm, landing on the broken bones that were piercing through his skin. He was already used to pain so it didn't bother him too much, it was like ants constantly crawling on his arm, it was not knowing exactly what caused it that was truly annoying him. Yao Jun's gaze returned to Luosho Li as he took a quick step back to dodge away while flicking his left wrist, three different streams of energy shooting out of his fingers.
The three streams, one red, one black, and one transparent, all hit Luosho Li's back at the same time, just as Yao Jun put some distance between the two of them. But all three streams of energy changed direction as they touched her back, returning directly to Yao Jun and entering his chest. Yao Jun traced his chest with his left hand, clicking his tongue while looking at Luosho Li.
"Reflection, huh? Or is it redirection? Either way, quite a nifty trick, I didn't expect it to fall under the domain of defense."
The three streams of energy he had just sent at her were a bit of his Qi, Monarch Essence, and his Anima Essence, the energies he gained from his three different cultivation systems. All three had bounced right back at him, just as strong as they were when he sent them out, at that point it wasn't hard to guess just what Luosho Li had done. It was Luosho Li's time to click her tongue when she heard Yao Jun guess her secret almost instantly, her right hand flicking a few strands of her golden hair away from her eyes.
"Tch, figures you'd guess it almost instantly, people like you are always a pain in the ass. Yeah, the second fragment I absorbed contained the reflective power of the Supreme Law of Defense, all your attacks from now on will only hurt yourself. Well, looking at that arm, that might not be too much of a problem for you at the start."
Luosho Li's gaze landed on Yao Jun's right arm, which was already starting to heal itself thanks to his body cultivation and already abnormally strong body thanks to his God Gate. Yao Jun focused his energy on his right arm to speed up the healing process, his head tilting slightly as the corners of his lips curled up into a faint sneer.
"All my attacks, you say? Tell me, didn't you lose a few fingers last time I attacked you? You've regrown them now, so I guess you've got some good medicine on you, but just the fact that I managed to cut them off shows that your reflection isn't perfect. Do you need to be aware of the attack, does it take a bit of time to set up, or does it cost quite a lot of energy to use? Maybe it's a bit of all three? Tell me, do you think you'll be able to kill me before I discover the secret?"
Yao Jun's eyes drifted down onto Luosho Li's left hand, where he had once chopped off everything but her thumb. The hand now had all its fingers, the only sign that something might be wrong being the fact that the other fingers were a bit paler than the rest of her hand. Luosho Li's smile sank fractally, her expression faltering slightly in the face of Yao Jun's confidence.
"Really, a pain in the ass just like I thought, no wonder you could kill Peyton and Xiao Yan."
Luosho Li suddenly crouched down and punched upwards with her right arm once she finished talking, her fist crashing with the underside of a nearly invisible disc of concentrated and rotating wind that had been heading for her head. The disc ruptured when she punched it, Yao Jun just barely able to tell that she had reflected part of the wind inside the disc so that it spun against the rest of the wind, causing the disc to destroy itself from the inside.
Yao Jun vanished through space at the same time as Luosho Li crouched down, the earth in his previous position suddenly splitting open as a hair-thin and invisible wall dug down into it, cleanly slicing through everything it touched. Yao Jun appeared directly in front of Luosho Li, his right leg already raised high and stomping down towards the top of her skull.
Luosho Li was crouched in a squatting position so it was a bit hard for her to properly block the attack, and despite her earlier grand talk, she didn't seem very interested in using her reflection to defend against the attack. She threw herself backward, the earth beneath her shattering from the power her legs unleashed. She raised her left leg as she threw herself backward, intercepting Yao Jun's stomp with the tip of her foot.
A shockwave tore through the area as the two feet came into contact, a crunching pain assaulting Yao Jun's foot as he felt the bones in it shatter thanks to Luosho Li's reflection. But his lips still curled up, because he could see Luosho Li's brows twitch in pain for a slight second, she was clearly unable to fully reflect all the force he could unleash when he didn't hold back anything, even drawing upon the energy of his Demonic beasts.

Luosho Li quickly pulled back her foot, her eyes slightly narrowed as Yao Jun's foot continued stomping down, sinking into the shattered earth. This was the first time one of her trump cards, her reflection, had been countered this quickly. But how could she know that Yao Jun didn't just have any normal Supreme Law fragment? He had the Demon God's Gate, the power it granted him was quite a bit above what it granted someone using a normal fragment of the Supreme Law of Demons.
Luosho Li was just about to stand up when her eyes suddenly shot open and she jumped back once again, putting a few tens of meters of distance between her and Yao Jun. A thick pillar of black flames shot up through the ground where she had just been standing as she jumped back, a small flicker of it touching the sole of her foot before she managed to fully dodge the attack.
The black flame stuck to her sole even when she stomped her foot on the ground to put it out, slowly growing larger and starting to spread up her heel. She poured a large amount of her Qi into her foot, surrounding the black fire with small invisible walls that managed to keep it at bay for the moment. But she could feel the fire eat away at the walls, the Qi used to create and sustain them becoming nourishment for the fire and helping it grow even stronger. Her mouth twisted slightly as she looked at the strange flames that she had never seen before, her gaze locked on Yao Jun.
"Really, this fire just has to be the perfect symbol for you. It eats away at everything around it and uses it to grow ever larger, leaving behind nothing but ruin and death in its wake. Take your eyes off of it for just a single second and you'll see that it has grown into an uncontrollable blazing inferno. Truly apt."
Space above Yao Jun rippled as Luosho Li talked, one of her hair-thin invisible walls crashing into a wall of hardened space and being forced to stop before it could touch him. Yao Jun's eyes remained indifferent as he sneered at Luosho Li, not even glancing at the invisible wall that was trying to break through his defense.
"Oh fuck off, will you? I swear, all you fuckers keep trying to convince me that I'm evil and the worst goddamn thing to ever happen to the universe. But from what I've seen ever since I've gotten to experience this universe, we're all the fucking same, just one selfish bastard after another. And just who do you think you are to judge what I am, when the fuck did you ever get to know me that well?"
Yao Jun didn't mince or soften his words in the slightest, he didn't mind cursing out even someone as popular and well-liked as Luosho Li. He felt like he had gotten to hear these sorts of monologues quite a bit during his recent battles, and he was frankly getting rather sick of them and the high and mighty attitude that those that delivered them had. Luosho Li tilted her head slightly with a smile, not bothering to give a response as she launched another attack.
Part of the black fire that was burning on her heel suddenly shot out of an opening she made in the wall that surrounded it, the fire heading directly for Yao Jun and landing on his chest. Yao Jun glanced at the fire, immediately flicking it away with his now healed right hand. The fire suddenly dispersed as he flicked it, several star-shaped invisible walls that had been hidden inside the fire revealing themselves and rapidly growing.
Space around Yao Jun immediately rippled as he teleported away, but Luosho Li seemed to have already accounted for his law of space. Space around him turned rigid just as he teleported away, not only causing the range of his teleportation to drastically decrease but also causing it to become quite a bit slower than usual and allowing three of the sharp tips from the star-shaped walls to pierce through his robe.
One pierced into the left side of his chest, one into his abdomen, and the last one through his right thigh, blood pouring forth and staining the ground as he teleported away. Luosho Li rapidly turned her head, following the incredibly faint ripple in space and using it to track Yao Jun's movement, her gaze landing on a spot a few meters away from Yao Jun's original position.
But her eyes quickly narrowed when her gaze landed on the spot, Yao Jun didn't end up popping out of the ripple in space. Her mouth had just barely gotten the time to twist when a horrid sense of danger assaulted her senses, her instincts forcing her body to bend so far back that she formed a bridge.
But even with how fast her instincts had worked, it had still been too late to fully dodge. Yao Jun stretched out from the shadow her right arm cast on her waist and stabbed out, the weapon he was using stabbing into her abdomen just below her ribs. The weapon stabbing into her abdomen wasn't his usual sword, it was a short golden dagger he had held on to for quite some time now, the special dagger he had taken from Mordred's corpse, the one specially crafted to deal with people like Yao Jun.
