Chapter 152: 152 – The Grand Banquet Of The Sapphire Kingdom

As expected, Crown Prince Jules of the Emerald Kingdom and Crown Princess Isabel of the Sapphire Kingdom left everyone speechless when they made their appearance at the banquet together.

Queen Carolina opened the ceremony by introducing King Jaren of the Emerald Kingdom, who came in with Royal Dragon Prince Azar of the Emerald Kingdom on his shoulder and Princess Mana of the Emerald Kingdom and Prince Raven of the Obsidian Kingdom by his side.

King Jaren was given a seat of honour right next to Queen Carolina – clearly showing the excellent relationship between the Sapphire Kingdom and the Emerald Kingdom. And King Jaren, Royal Dragon Prince Azar, Princess Mana and Prince Raven – all of them wore blue outfits to pay homage to the Sapphire Kingdom.

After the royal family of the Emerald Kingdom, the royal family of the Obsidian Kingdom entered, surprising everyone. No one (other than the people of the Sapphire Kingdom, who were very fond of Prince Raven) had expected that the relationship between the mysterious and rather reclusive Obsidian Kingdom and the Sapphire Kingdom could have become so good! All eyes went to Prince Raven of the Obsidian Kingdom, who was standing obediently next to King Jaren of the Emerald Kingdom and Princess Mana of the Emerald Kingdom – and they suddenly understood. After all, Prince Raven of the Obsidian Kingdom was engaged to Princess Mana of the Emerald Kingdom and the two of them, together with Crown Princess Isabel of the Sapphire Kingdom and Crown Prince Jules of the Emerald Kingdom, done so much work for the people of the Sapphire Kingdom – naturally, it would reflect on the relationship between the two countries!

King Corvus of the Obsidian Kingdom, Crown Princess Pica of the Obsidian Kingdom, General Aquila of the Obsidian Kingdom who had been recently found – again, thanks to Prince Raven of the Obsidian Kingdom – came in along with the three young royal children – Prince Rook of the Obsidian Kingdom, and the twins Princess Enca of the Obsidian Kingdom and Prince Dawe of the Obsidian Kingdom. That was a lot of people from the royal family of the Obsidian Kingdom who rarely showed their faces anywhere – and the fact that all of them had come to the Sapphire Kingdom clearly showed their intention to develop friendly relationships between the two nations.

Queen Carolina greeted them with a smile and seated them at a high place of honour. Only King Jaren got a status equal to Queen Carolina in the Sapphire Kingdom – everyone else got a place of high honour, which was very respectful nonetheless.

After the royal family of the Obsidian Kingdom, Head Sage Yue of the Moon Temple of the Pearl Kingdom came in, and he got similarly seated as the royal family of the Obsidian Kingdom. Again, it was thanks to Prince Raven, who was the biological son of Head Sage Yue of the Moon Temple of the Pearl Kingdom, that the people of the Sapphire Kingdom had a chance to interact with and develop and amiable relationship with the people of the Pearl Kingdom as well.

Next came King Orion of the Amber Kingdom, accompanied by Crown Prince Mars of the Amber Kingdom and his fiancée, Princess Astra of the Emerald Kingdom. The three of them were also shown to a place of high honour to be seated.

When everyone had been seated and settled in, Queen Carolina announced, "Now, for the stars of this evening – please welcome my dearest children – Crown Prince Jules of the Emerald Kingdom and Crown Princess Isabel of the Sapphire Kingdom – and bless their engagement with all your hearts!"

The grand doors of the banquet hall opened slowly to reveal Crown Prince Jules of the Emerald Kingdom and Crown Princess Isabel of the Sapphire Kingdom standing together hand in hand, looking resplendent and ethereally beautiful in their fabulous clothes that Jules had prepared so meticulously, and which the two of them had spent most of their day admiring!

There was pin drop silence in the entire banquet hall – it was like everyone had completely forgotten to breathe. Even Queen Carolina and King Jaren were stunned. To think that their daughter and son would look like this!

No one had ever seen a more beautiful and a more divine looking couple! Jules and Bella really looked like they were immortal gods descending from the heavens, gracing the earth with their presence. The double effect of two such stunning people standing together, looking perfectly matched and as if they were custom made for each other – that was phenomenal.

Even Mana and Raven, who had seen their Big Brother Jules and Big Sister Bella all dressed up earlier in the day were in awe at seeing them together.

Crown Prince Jules of the Emerald Kingdom and Crown Princess Bella of the Sapphire Kingdom walked slowly towards the centre table where Queen Carolina, King Jaren, Royal Dragon Prince Azar, Princess Mana and Prince Raven were waiting for them.

All eyes in the hall were fixed on the gorgeous couple as they made their way across the hall. When they finally reached the table, Azar flew up from King Jaren's should and hovered in front of Jules and Bella.

"Uncle Jules! Auntie Bella! Pretty, pretty, pretty! So good! So shiny!" the little dragon chirped happily.

That broken the spell of silence in the room and there instead, the entire hall shook with thunderous applause as everyone clapped and cheered loudly.

Even King Orion and Prince Mars and Princess Astra couldn't take their eyes off Jules and Bella!

"I knew that my Bella was a beauty, but I never knew that she was such an immortal beauty," Queen Carolina murmured. "My little girl, you are the most beautiful woman in the world, and your boy Jules is the most handsome man in the world!"

"Indeed," King Jaren agreed whole heartedly. "Jules and Bella – you are perfect. Absolutely, completely perfect! You are the most gorgeous couple the world has ever seen, and will probably ever see!"

Jules and Bella flushed, making the young couple look even lovelier.

It took a long time for the applause to fade out. Then the appetisers were served and the guests began to speak with each other.

Bella was proudly telling her mother about all the effort that Jules had put in to make their outfits – and Queen Carolina became even more satisfied with this wonderful son in law of hers.

"My dear boy," Queen Carolina said to Jules. "I thank the heavens and all the powers that be that you were able to meet my little Bella and that the two of you fell in love and chose to be with each other – I cannot think of a more perfect companion for Bella than you, and I cannot even begin to tell you that as her mother, how absolutely relieved I am that you are here to take care of my Bella and that you cherish her so much…" There was deep emotion in her voice which made her voice tremble towards the end of her dialogue.

Jules flushed. "Mother," he said quietly. "It is my fortune that I was able to meet Bella and win her heart. If I don't cherish her and love her with every fibre of my being, then wouldn't I be the biggest fool in the whole world?"

King Jaren smiled and threw a proud look at Jules. "That's my boy – he's definitely got his priorities straight, eh?" he boasted happily.

Bella took Jules's hand in her own smaller, fairer ones. "The fortune is mine," she said quietly. "I don't know how or why you took a liking to me, Jules, but I am very, very grateful that you did. Meeting you was the biggest blessing of my entire life, and to have your love is more valuable than having the world at my feet. You, my love, are my entire world, all of my heart and soul. Without you, I'm nothing. With you, I'm at least something."

Jules brought Bella's hands to his lips and pressed a reverent kiss on the back of her hands one by one. "My darling – you take the words out of my mouth. Indeed, without you, I'm nothing, and with you, I am something – but then, my darling, together, aren't we everything?" he said in a gentle voice.

Bella could only nod shyly.

Queen Carolina wiped a tear from her eye not so secretly. King Jaren, too, dabbed at his eyes with his handkerchief.

Mana and Raven looked at each with their eyes shining brightly. Big Brother Jules and Big Sister Bella were just too perfect, and it made Mana and Raven even more determined to protect the two of them even more fiercely than before. No one was allowed to lay a finger on their Big Brother Jules and their Big Sister Bella under the eagle eyed watch of Mana and Raven! They would simply not permit it!

While this was happening at the main table, on one of the side tables of high honour, King Orion was eyeing Jules and Mana on the main table and feeling even more dissatisfied with the royal child of the Emerald Kingdom that he'd gotten.
