The two baby dragons enjoyed a peach feast for a while until Queen Carolina reminded them that it was time to return to the imperial palace of the Sapphire Kingdom.

"We can introduce our new Royal Dragon Princess Alya in the banquet tomorrow," Queen Carolina said, tickling the little white dragon under her chin fondly. "Would you like that, little one?"

Alya looked at Azar for guidance. "Does Azar attend human banquets?" she asked curiously.

Azar nodded proudly. "Azar attends all human banquets with my family," he replied. "Alya is also our family now, so Alya should also attend all the banquets!"

"Does Azar wear shiny and pretty things for the banquets?" Alya asked shyly.

Azar nodded and started telling her about the cool stuff he got to wear which were matched and coordinated with the outfits of his dear Mommy and Daddy!

Alya's eyes glowed with excitement. She looked up at Jules and Bella and made a face so adorable that the two teenagers felt their hearts melting away like a block of ice under the hot midday sun! "Does Alya get to wear shiny and pretty things like Azar? Does Alya get to match with her Mama and Dad?" the little white dragon asked shyly.

Bella and Jules couldn't help it. They hugged their little baby dragon girl and promised to make her the best princess outfit ever!

Jules had never imagined that his recently acquired tailoring and designing skills would be called into action so quickly! But, naturally, he was more than happy to make matching outfits for their little girl – their very own baby dragon!

"Of course you get to, my dear Alya," Jules said. "Dad will make beautiful outfits for you which will match what Bella and I are wearing!"

"We will start working on Alya's outfit as soon as we go back," Bella said to Jules. "Our little baby girl will be the most beautiful little dragon girl ever!"

Alya preened.

"Come on, then, we should head back home now, shouldn't we?" Queen Carolina suggested.

No one would disagree – also, it was already quite late, and the baby dragons should be normally asleep at this hour!

Alya was very curious about the propulsion machine, and Azar was all too happy to act as the older cousin and the more knowledgeable dragon child and he spoke non stop, explaining things to Alya until the group was back in the imperial palace of the Sapphire Kingdom and it was time for all of them to return to their own rooms.

"Azar will stay with Grandpapa," the little boy dragon declared. "Alya, do you want to stay with us?" he offered.

Alya nodded immediately and flew to King Jaren's shoulder, much to the disappointment of Queen Carolina. But then, she understood that it was best for the new baby dragon to stay with Azar for now. When she was a little older, Queen Carolina would definitely pamper her little dragon granddaughter so much that little Alya would be as sticky with her own Grandmother Carolina just like little Azar was with King Jaren!

It wasn't until many years later that everyone else in the generation of Queen Carolina and King Jaren would realise that King Jaren held some inexplicable attraction for all the babies in their family, regardless of species, and seemed to be favourite grandparent of every single baby that appeared in their family over the years. It was always 'Grandpapa' this and 'Grandpapa' that – and everyone else – Queen Carolina, General Aquila, Crown Princess Pica, Head Sage Yue – all of them came second or lower with every single grandchild they ever had, with King Jaren unanimously and overwhelmingly bagging the 'grandparent of the century' award! But at least these guys still figured in the decent and/or tolerable grandparent list – unlike some others who were actively despised.

But, at the moment, it was a little too early for all that.

For now, everyone else could only watch as King Jaren went off with two super adorable baby dragons – one perched on each of his shoulders – and a spring in his steps.

Jules and Bella decided to go and work on Alya's outfit for the next day. They left soon after King Jaren.

Raven wanted to speak to Mana (well, he said he wanted to talk, but Mana was reasonably sure that what he actually wanted to do was to run the diagnostic spell on her a few times again to reassure himself that she was all right – Mana didn't really mind, and she wanted to check on his magic herself as well, so it fit in nicely with her own intentions), so the two of them went off together.

Queen Carolina stood around for a few minutes, then shook her head wryly and went off to her own room. She'd sit with King Jaren the next day and get some tips on how to take care of baby dragons and how to get at least one of the little dragons show some interest in their Grandmother Carolina!

Mana and Raven went to Mana's room and sat down.

"How are you feeling?" Raven asked, concern swimming in his rainbow eyes.

Mana smiled and held out her wrist. "You can check for yourself, my little darling," she teased.

Raven flushed and murmured, "I'm bigger than you, and older, too." However, he still took her hand and sent a diagnostic spell of his own into her, along with a strand of his own magic to check upon her condition.

To his relief, Mana was perfectly stable, and she had definitely grown stronger and healthier. There was absolutely nothing wrong with her. Raven heaved a sigh of relief.

Mana watched his expressions with a small smile on her face. When he was done checking on her to his satisfaction, Mana took Raven's wrist and sent a strand of her own magic into him to check on his condition.

Mana found that Raven's magic was still slightly unstable. Not liking the situation, she poured a bigger amount of her magic into Raven, and then observed him for a while until her magic inter twined with his magic and stabilised his magic completely. Raven's eyes widened in shock as Mana did this, but she was too fast for him to be able to raise any protests on the matter, and then he felt himself being enveloped in a warm, comfortable embrace and he lost all his will to protest.

"Thank you," Raven said gratefully, when Mana finished stabilising his magic.

Mana shook her head and then poked Raven in the middle of his forehead with her slim, fair finger. "What's there to thank me for?" she asked. "Your welfare is my welfare – do you think I can be happily going about things when you're worrying so much? And you, why haven't you been telling me when you feel the slightest bit unstable? Are you waiting for the problem to grow so much that I'd be able to feel it through our bond?" she scolded.

Raven listened to her scolding with a big, goofy smile on his face.

Whatever anger Mana had dredged up – all of that disappeared at the sight of Raven's smiling, adorable face. No one would be able to keep scolding him when he looked like this. Mana sighed and pinched his cheeks playfully instead.

"You've learnt how to use your beautiful face to get away with whatever you want when it comes to me," she complained.

Raven burst our laughing. "Well, isn't it good for me if you think that I am beautiful?" he asked, batting his eyelashes at Mana slowly, like Azar sometimes did when he was acting cute.

Mana sighed and poked Raven in the middle of his forehead again. "You know that you are beautiful – in fact, you are the most beautiful person that I have ever seen, and you keep getting prettier and prettier each day. I think by the time you get to Big Brother's age, you'll make flowers bloom around you and birds fall out of the sky whenever you walk around anywhere. Maybe I'll start carrying a basket when I'm with you – we will collect all the flowers and make some perfumes and may be flower wine, and the birds that drop dead because of your beauty – we can have Big Brother make some nice barbeque…"

Raven, who was blushing during the first part of Mana's speech, dissolved into peals of laughter by the end of her speech. "You really are something else, Mana," Raven said, gasping with laughter.

Mana smirked. "Of course I am," she said. "Isn't that why you love me?"

"True," Raven said. "That's exactly why I lo–" He stopped midway, realising what he was about to say and then blushed furiously, turning as red as a tomato. Of course he knew that he loved Mana – but this was not the right time or the right place to make his confessions. He would do that properly, with elaborate planning and everything, so that Mana would remember his words of love for ever and ever.

Mana chuckled, amused at Raven's shy expression.
