Chapter 4: The Craziness and The Fear

“Ashiya, I left you this note to tell you not to comeback to the Village. By the time you comeback, there will be nothing left. I will protect the rest of the village. You and Elvie are old enough to get married. Enjoy yourselves out of the village, and soon I’ll be there with you.” I had found this little ball in my pocket, it let out magic which then displayed an image of my mom. She must have placed the ball when she hugged me. Did it also teleport us. If it did why would it have teleported us here, in this land barren of anything normal. Could it have been just a  random location. Does that mean mom didn’t have anytime to plan things through, but when did she record the message. That’s all I could think of now. So far we landed in this place where the hue is blood shot red. Monsters towering over crazed people. The monsters that come in different forms mostly just walk past by us, probably due to our little size. It’s those crazed people that are the danger, with their eyes gouged out they rely on their nose and ears, but it seems even their smell is unreliable. Due to this situation I haven’t shown them what mom said. We ended up camping out in a cave. I believe it’s been 2 hours since we came here  with no food and water in sight, soon we will have to leave and look for an area with water and food.  “Brother are you okay?” Dactus? I should be asking you that. “I am fine brother it’s just Rebecca said she is hungry.” Why are you avoiding eye contact with me. “No reason.” I look over to where Rebecca is. There she was full of life talking with Gywn and Elvie. I wanted to tease him about the obvious lie, but there was no sign of anything around here. We don’t have food right now but we will get some I can promise you that. “When we find water can I get the first sip, I am thirsty.” Uhm, sure yeah if that’s what you want. “Pinky promise me that Rebecca won’t go first.” What? Such a greedy boy you are. Dactus lifts his pinky out. “Go on pinky promise with me.” Ok sure. Our pinky’s forming the treaty know as the pinky promise. I glance around not finding my target. Do you know where Diodora is. “Uhm, no.” Ok go with your sisters and Elvie. “Ok.” 

  I go around the cave looking for Diodora. Searching the whole cave, I find him where I should have started from the start. The entrance of the cave. It seemed he was observing those crazed people. Did you see anything interesting. “Nothing, they just continue to walk. They just wait for their next meal.” It looks like they also have normal hearing or else they probably would have heard us already.” When are we leaving? “Tomorrow. We have been here for awhile already, so the night will envelop us soon. We need to see what this place is like at night.” What about the rest? “Nothing we can do. No food. They are just going to have to wait.” What the. Do you see that. “Yes. It’s turning nighttime the hue of the scenery is changing.” The hue Turning the darkest of purple. The night now purple. Dead silence, soon broken by the fumbling crazed person that came into view. Falling to its knees and begins to let out an ear piercing screech. Blood beginning to drip out of our ears, but not saying anything due to was happening in front of our eyes. “Its changing?” It was screaming at the top of its lungs, while ripping its pale skin to shreds. The crazed people naked and pale all around with their teeth, feet, and hands similar to mine, the differences were that they were pale and dirty. It was ripping their flesh from the head exposing its shattered skull revealing its brain. It’s pale skin drenched in its own blood. I dropped to my knees, fear striking me down. I look over to my brother quivering at the sight. The pale monster was looking directly at us. Ddddd…oooo you think it sees us. “I don’t know but don’t move.” “What’s going on.” Sshh. “Get down Everyone. Don’t move, it’s looking this way.” “Does it know we’re here.” “Probably. Gwyn hold on to Dactus and Rebecca. Don’t make a sound, ok.” Tears flowing down Rebecca’s eyes. “It’s going to be okay Rebecca please don’t cry. Smile with me. Smiles wash away all the bad.” Gwyn always had a motherly charm to her, that hopeful glow to her just like mom. “If that thing moves we have to run out the cave.” Out there, isn’t there  anything better maybe running further into the cave. “I saw what was further into the cave, we would be lost as soon as we ventured further.” When did you go. “While you were sulking, someone had to do someth….” Diodora’s sentence interrupted by someone we should have paid more attention to. I rush toward Dactus to stop his crying, but it was to late. “Give me Rebecca and run.” I grab the crying Dactus and we run out the cave. Gwyn and Rebecca holding onto each making sure the other doesn’t fall. My heart beating faster than I was running, tears beginning to run down my face. “Ashiya can you see it.” I don’t wanna look, please don’t make me. “Ashiya just look, I need you at least to play your role as older brother. I hesitate, but eventually I look back. My heart sunk into the deep depths of body. Hhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaa. Hhhh…uuu..rrry uuuuup it’s reaching us. As we ran we all fall to the rumbling that was the colossus heading our way. I must have had no legs, because I couldn’t run any further. We had all stopped even that crazed person. Yes, we had seen these colossal beings, but seeing it up close was something else, the dread in me building up. It coming closer and not being able to move I held Dactus close to me shielding him, everyone doing the same. We never even tried to fight the crazed person, but it was easily crushed by the colossal being. The impact from the stomp erupted the ground throwing the debris towards us. Aaaahhh damn it. “Ashiya!” Spitting up blood am I, that sucks. My will to protect my family is stronger than my shackles to fear, but now I’m on deaths door. 

“Gwyn, hold my hand and follow me.” “Ok right behind you.” We rush towards Dactus, while Diodora was still protecting Rebecca. “It stopped moving.” Without moving any other body part, but it’s hand it reaches out for Dactus. “What. Why now! Why is it bothering us now.” “Calm down Gwyn, I’ll do my best to keep him safe.” I unsheathe my sword. “This is my strongest move so you better go down . DUO-ELEMENTAL SLASH.” With this my sword enveloped by ice and fire dancing around my sword, and with its power my sword breaks. The slash hurling towards the arm of the colossus. “What?! It’s gone it didn’t  hit him.” “Elvie do something it’s taking him!!!!” Tears running down Gwyn’s face. Not knowing what to do, I yelled. “Ashiya!!!!” “Stay right here Rebecca” 

I run towards Ashiya. “Ashiya hurry up and get up, don’t think I don’t know about your gauntlet.

The yell of my family in trouble that’s what I feared more than death, but now that I’m close to death, now I’m scared to death. Weird. Hey, dragon can you here me. Can you talk. “Yes I can.” The hits I just took give it to me all. Everything. “Your body wouldn’t be able to handle it.” I don’t care about that right now. What I need is to protect them. “Very well, you won’t get any protest from me.” Thanks dragon. RELEASE!! “Just know the power to heal your wounds that’s all you had, but since you don’t care about what happens I will give some of my power. I doubt you using my power will do anything to that, but prove me wrong I would like to see that.” I won’t let you down. Move out the way everyone! “Ashiya! You’re fine? I knew you were built to last.” Yes I’m fine now move out the way Elvie. “Let’s go Gwyn” “Okay.” I focus into the gauntlet feeling all the power the dragon had given me. I breathe in and out to prepare for what was about happen. Now release! Hhhhhhhaaaaaa! All the energy flowing into. My whole body writhing in pain. My head feeling like it’s about to explode. Blood gushing out of all places it could have. That didn’t sway me. I lift both my hands ready to put all the power in this one shot. My whole body being enveloped in the green energy protruding from the gauntlet. A mass of energy as big as me at the palm of my hand. It’s time. DRAGON BLAST!! POP! Hhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!

Afterward

Hello there again. The end of another chapter. The story has gone full throttle and I wanted to make it perfect, so it took longer than expected to finish. It’s done nonetheless. It’s not getting any easier writing but it is getting more enjoyable. Now let’s talk about what’s happen in the story. Ashiya and family are stuck in this new place with enemies all around. Ashiya isn't as brave as his younger brother, but when his family is in danger he will do anything. Next chapter we will see what happens to Ashiya after using all that power. Before we finish my favorite month is October. The weather is so nice I love it. I hope everyone has a happy halloween. I will try to release the next chapter by or on Halloween.
