"Damn, business is slow today, huh?"
The young half elf named Cindy is now twenty-two years old. On her own since the age of thirteen, she has managed to survive by any means necessary. From stumbling in and out of shelters to joining nefarious ogre-run gangs, stealing, gambling, and scamming were all things she did to survive and make ends meet. However, she grew tired of that lifestyle and wanted to go legit. Without much education, Cindy's options were very limited, so she decided to invest her questionably earned finances into a new car! The new Beetle model. The same brand that her mother used to drive her around in when she was a little girl. With a car, Cindy was now able to become an Ubear driver; a taxi-like service that she has been using to drive people to their required destination.
"I need to hurry up and make some cash, dammit! I'm sick of living in this car!"
Cindy had left her hometown of Anahym that was located on the west coast. She wanted nothing to do with that awful place anymore. She had grown to hate it so much. She hated the scorching hot weather, the stuck up elves all over the city, the violent ogres in the gangs she was apart of, and overpriced cost of living that rendered the average person poor. But most of all, she hated her mothers family. The family that left her out to dry after her mothers passing. The family that sold her childhood home away, where she spent so much precious time with her mother. But it was also the family that gave her a new arm. Cindy was conflicted, but nevertheless:
"I never want to see any of those bastards ever again!" She thought to herself.
"Anyways, enough reminiscing. Where are these freakin' customers at?"
-"ping ping ping"
The Ubear app rang softly in the car, over the sounds of hip-hop music playing in the background.
"Finally!", she exclaimed somewhat softly.
"Lets make some cash! I've almost got enough saved to get an apartment."

"This city is nice."
Cindy had only moved to Baldimore City about one year ago, but she instantly fell in love with the place. The weather was perfect for her. She loved the cold winters and the moderate summer temperatures. She adored the local cuisine and the architecture of the city.
"The elves are so much nicer here. Everyone is nice here!"

As she made her way to pick up her client, Cindy was enjoying the cool autumn breeze through her car window.
"Why are elves so nice here?", She thought.
Though both her hometown and Baldimore were governed by elves, the people of Baldimore were peaceful and well tempered. The elves in her hometown were mean and stuck up. If you even looked at them the wrong way, they'd lash out at you, if you were of another race. The ogres were even jailed for the smallest of offenses and the humans scraped by while sucking up to the elves. But Baldimore was different. Elves, humans, and ogres alike all lived together peacefully here. There was Low crime, good weather, and friendly people. She no longer had to resort to petty crimes in order to stay afloat.
"What more could I ask for?"
Cindy smiled, as she made her way into Downtown Baldimore, not knowing what was in store for her.

"Hold on, this is..."
The destination Cindy arrived at was a massive building in the downtown area, measuring almost six-hundred feet. Slick and shiny with new reinforced steel, this building was completed not long after Cindy first arrived in the city. Not long after, it soon gained notoriety and praise for this company's efforts to keep the people safe and the streets clean. A job that the police had a hard time maintaining. When the elves passed a law that made assassination legal in Baldimore, under the "Warden of the State's" approval, crime rates in the city dropped down by an astounding ninety-nine percent. The building that Cindy had just drove up to is home to the assassination headquarters in Baldimore City: "The Fam"
"I-I knew about the business, but I never expected to ever come here! Why would the assassins need Ubear drivers? Aren't they all rich?? Maybe they're going out drinking? No, it's too early for that. I know that they only eliminate bad guys, but I want nothing to do with them! Well, the money can wait for now. I'll just cance-"
Before Cindy had a chance to cancel the ride, a young man in an all-white suit knocked on the door of her Beetle car. He began to speak.
Man: Are you my ride?
Cindy: Y-yes! Where can I take you, sir?
