The Fateful Day

Synopsis:
On a fateful day, a young boy and a young girl meet somewhere within a forest.

Meeting the lost and troubled girl, the boy let her live with him under a wooden house built beside a brilliant cherry tree.

Years of harmony passed by and the two grows closer than ever, regarding the other as their own family, perhaps, even closer than that.

But everything, no matter good or bad, will have to come to an end.

At a certain evening, the teenage boy came and informed her something important.

“Your brother… I found him”

When she heard his words, her eyes quivered from her deep emotion while her fingers tightened itself.

The feeling that she had suppressed for so long and the memories that she hid away deep inside her… all of it began to seep out.

The desire to send justice to the murderer of her father and mother. The one that cruelly killed them with the knife in his hand on the cold windy night. The one that chased her away tirelessly to the faraway land.

Her loving brother…

And on that evening, the two had a long and meaningful conversation.

The boy wished for her to go out and take her revenge.

“…Then, how about you?” the girl asked.

However, the boy responded with a mysterious yet sad smile.

“Sorry… but I can’t go with you”

In the end, the girl yielded and decided to travel and confront her brother.

However, unbeknownst to her, something happened when the dawn finally arrived.

The boy… he was found missing.

It was as if he had vanished into thin air, like a mere illusion.

And in his place was found a single note, a clue to find him. And that hint points to that man, her brother.

And so she goes.

As she glanced one last time towards the ancient cherry tree behind her. She was overwhelmed with memories of her time spent with the boy.

But that only reaffirmed her conviction once again and turned herself to face the undetermined future in front of her, leaving everything that she cherished before behind.

From a fateful union to an unforeseen separation. Even the vengeance born from betrayal was faltering in the grand scheme of fate.

One could only ask… how will this story play out?
