Chapter 1112: Bloodline Projection!
After Katrina and Autumn left the store, Aakesh closed the doors, ignoring the interaction between Favan and them.
Lily summoned the door, as it was time for her to enter Pangea, and she had already been out for a long time.
Click!
With a clicking sound, the door closed after Lily entered the room.
Aakesh's smile disappeared, and his expression turned indifferent as he proceeded toward the portal room.
As usual, after entering the room, his eyes fell on the leaderboards for the customers in the Sacred Dimension and those from the Primal Dimension.
After entering Panagea in the store, Maria regained her spot as the highest-level adventurer on the leaderboard. There was a wide gap of twenty levels between the first and second ranks.
Aakesh then moved his eyes away since there had been no major changes in the rankings of the adventurers in the past few weeks.
Aakesh then stepped forward and touched the nearest portal with just the tip of his right index finger. The next moment, a suction force stronger than anything he could fight against appeared and sucked him inside the familiar world of Panagea.
After the suction, Aakesh found himself at the same spot he had left yesterday.
During the past year, Aakesh had been continuous in his pursuits, so he had gained a few levels.
Several months ago, Aakesh found himself near an interesting phenomenon, so he asked Lily whether he could postpone his arrival time.
Lily had accepted it and even decided to join him. Aakesh had no problem with it since this way he would spend several hours with Lily rather than only a few hours.
The impressive phenomenon that delayed Aakesh's journey was the quest he received after killing a Level 302 creature.
The beast was from the race Disantis, now an extinct demonic race from the Multiverse. When Disantis' members were alive, the race ruled the Demon group with their overwhelming strength.
It all changed with the birth of a powerful cultivator, now the ruler of the strongest race in the Demon group.
They might have become extinct in the Multiverse, but they were alive and well inside Panagea.
When Aakesh killed the Level 302 Disantis members, he found himself cursed by an invisible, powerful force.
That curse generated a quest for him and showed the way to remove it, or he would become a runaway cultivator, hiding from the Disantis or their subordinate races.
Disantis had a Level 950 creature as its ruler, so Aakesh took the quest seriously. The system wouldn't help him inside Panagea.
Also, the quest was too good for him to miss, as it rewarded him a gain of five levels.
The quest wanted him to find one of the settlements of the Disantis race members. The settlement was extraordinary since there was a peak divine grade item hidden in the ground where the settlement was located.
The quest wanted him to eliminate the members of the settlement and find the item. There was a warning associated with the quest that the item was valuable, and Aakesh needed to leave it there for its inheritor.
If he took the item with him anywhere outside the range of 100 meters from the location where it would be found, there would be a punishment, executing him every time, till his level had reduced to zero.
Even without the item, the quest was desirable to Aakesh, as it awarded him five levels. There were also other awards, as everything other than the required item was his.
Aakesh had become curious about what could cause the situation to turn out like this, so he decided to play along with it and asked Lily to postpone his arrival time.
Lily later joined him, and after a search of several months, they finally found the bunker.
Lily then left as a problem occurred in her territory, demanding her attention. She had no interest in leaving, but Aakesh pressured her to. He knew just how emotionally attached Lily was to her territory, and he didn't want to see her like she was after the death of her wolf friend.
After months of persistence, Aakesh finally reached the last step of the quest. He killed everyone in the settlement around a month ago, and since then, he had been searching for the location of the item.
Aakesh thought that Disantis had some knowledge about the item, and that's why they had stationed several of their Level 300 race members. But later, he found that they knew nothing about the item. In fact, the members stationed here were rebels from the Disantis, so instead of becoming enemies with the race, he helped them by eliminating some of their rebel camps.

"I have finally found you," Aakesh commented as he reached the location where the item was buried.

Aakesh took the shovel he had found in the settlement from his space ring. With the shovel in hand, Aakesh began to dig into the earth. As soon as he broke through the topsoil, a sudden, intense pressure erupted from the ground, attacking him with intense force.
Aakesh seemed unfazed by that kind of pressure as his movements remained as free as usual and he continued to dig. As the shovel went deeper, the pressure intensity grew proportionately.
When Aakesh had dug around thirty meters, the pressure attacking him finally had some success. His movements slowed down, but he continued.
When Aakesh was at the fifty-meter range, the pressure had grown so intense that even forcing the shovel down was a tough nut to crack.
Aakesh's movements had slowed down, but he didn't stop. Time flew by, and seven hours had passed since Aakesh reached the fifty-meter range.
It took him around an hour to reach that level, but in seven hours, he only dug three meters.
Clang! Boom!
Aakesh's veins had popped out as he pushed the shovel in. The next moment, it hit a barrier. Aakesh suddenly sensed an extreme danger to his life, so he activated the several defensive skills he had and covered himself with a thick energy barrier.
As the explosion rang, the soil beneath Aakesh's feet disappeared, and he began to sink at a dangerous rate.
In only a few seconds, Aakesh had traveled an uncontrolled descent of several thousand miles.
Even the shields around him had begun to crack as the pressure around him continued to grow. There wasn't a single vein in his body that hadn't popped out and was on the verge of exploding.
Aakesh gritted his teeth and tried to control his descent. Aakesh received failure as a result since the descent only grew quicker. It was as if there was a black hole attempting to suck him inside.
Aakesh's thoughts turned out to be correct, as Aakesh finally saw a light after a long, uncontrolled descent of around three million miles. At that moment, several of his body parts had exploded while others were on the verge of exploding.
When Aakesh saw the light, the pressure reached its peak; his heart reached its limit and was on the verge of exploding.
Aakesh had no interest in dying this way and failing all his efforts over the past months, so he released everything he could and fell unconscious.
When he had reached his limit, Aakesh released whatever strength his bloodline had. His already tired body couldn't handle that kind of energy rush, and he fell unconscious while the projection of a never-ending being appeared. The figure in the projection wasn't clear but was extremely blurry.
As the being in the projection looked at the gigantic black hole, it exploded, engulfing Aakesh in its midst.
Aakesh's injuries had begun to heal at a rapid rate, and in no time, he looked as good as ever. His consciousness began to return, and when he opened his eyes, he found himself fine with no signs of injury while he was in a land made of nothing but dreamy light.
Aakesh had a confused expression on his face as he didn't understand what just happened. The last he remembered, he released whatever energy his bloodline was, and the next memory was of him here.
"Hey, system, what just happened?" Aakesh couldn't help but ask the system since he had a feeling that he had achieved something wondrous.
[Host, you unlocked the bloodline projection!]
The system's voice rang in his ears, surprising Aakesh.
Aakesh knew what the bloodline projection meant, so he tried to do it again, only to find he was unable to do it.
[Host, your body isn't able to bear that kind of energy rush!]
The system took the initiative and explained before Aakesh would ask any question.
Aakesh nodded and thought of making his doubts about this stage clear later with the system since he was in an unknown area, and anything could happen here.
