"Hello, Tim... Yeah, Sunny this side. Yes ...Yes ... actually, I am calling in the hope that you can connect me with some computer scientist or someone like that.
Someone who can add value to my team on a higher level and help me in the technical side of it." Sunny asked for help from Tim Lee, and he was surely not disappointed.
"You know there is a place full of developers, thinkers and dreamers. It might suit you. There are some really amazing people out there who could be hired to bring out some amazing change in the digital world." Tim spoke vaguely increasing Sunny's appetite.
"Oh, come on Tim. Just say it. I promise to give you free movie tickets for your life." Sunny knew Tim loved watching movies, so he made a joke.
"You win! I want 2-lifetime passes. Okay." Tim also replied in good humour.
"Okay. Okay. 2 Lifetime passes. Now, please, can you point me to where I start the headhunting?"
Sunny readily agreed.
"Where else Sunny! You must come to CERN. We have the entire group of the world's most talented engineers, researchers, and professors. If you manage to hire anyone and I mean anyone from here, your company and its development will simply leapfrog in a short time."
Tim replied and started laughing. Tim was really not lying but the answer was so anticlimactic that Sunny wanted to slap himself.
How could he not think this! Tim basically founded World Wide Web (WWW) while working there.
That is the place where geniuses gather to research about mysteries of the universe.
"Oh my God! How did I forget about this!" Sunny could not really believe he missed the answer that was right in front of him.
"You know what, to thank you for two-lifetime movie passes and popcorn, I will fax you a list of people who are looking to shift to a private company." Time happily said from the other end and cut the call.
"Hey, when did I say anything about popcorn? Hey Tim... Hello? Seriously this guy...
Sunny with an amused and happy expression put down the phone and started writing down the names of all future movies and TV shows he could remember.
His rebirth didn't come with additional super memory and hence many details and names are often missing from his head. Sunny had to play a small dictionary game with himself to think of any relatable word that could remind him of anything important starting from the letter A.
In this way, Sunny was busy playing dictionary and noting down famous movies and tv shows and other names while Tim on the other hand compiled a list of some people who were working in CERN but were eagerly looking for a high-salary job.
Being a researcher is not for everyone especially when there is not a lot of money in this field. For many researchers, most of their funds come from donations or grants or working on a different funded project.
"Sir, there is a call from Sandford. There is someone from their Placement coordination team on the other side." Sunny was looking for fresh hires for Rover Net and had sent personal letters along with a small brochure and introduction letter from Tim Lee to multiple universities hoping they would allow him to do Campus hiring.
Finding the right talent and the right people in the early days of the internet is really tough but hiring students directly from college is always the best way. However, compared to companies that actually do work in coding and computing, his Rover Net had just started.
Thankfully, Rocket browser was well known in their community, and he had some leverage.
"Yes, Hello?" Sunny picked up the call and eagerly responded.

"Sure… Sure… No problem." Sunny put the phone down before noting down a date and time.
Apparently one of the new researchers and professors at Stanford wanted Sunny to come down there for a personal meeting. Sunny had no reason to refuse such a good offer. This will simply allow him to build relations, hire good students and maybe… just maybe… find something that is in development and might be a big thing in future.
Sunny noted down the next dates and called his new secretary, Harris Kubrick, to his office. Harris was from CAA and worked as a celebrity agent but then he lost his job last year due to CAA scaling down in the poor economy and was looking for a new place.
Sunny had been looking for new secretaries that actually understand Hollywood and Harris was the right fit.
"Harris, we have to go to Stanford for a meeting on this Friday. Make a note of that. Morning time around 10:30 would be the best. Do I have anything else on my plate?" Sunny asked.
"A meeting with screenplay department and distribution team. They are waiting for this year's schedule. Also, you have a meeting for this year Oscar that you need to discuss with Mr Ricky Bryan," Harris quickly checked the schedule and informed Sunny.
"Great. Call Bryan first. Let's solve the Oscars first," Sunny replied and waited for Ricky to come.
After half hour, Ricky came along with his assistant.
"Good morning Ricky. Tell me, what do we have for Oscar this year?" Sunny asked after a formal greeting.
"Well, We have been preparing for the Blue Sky. It has gotten rare reviews for Jessica Lange and she is a strong competitor for the lead actress. Besides, we did win a lot of awards from the Guilds and we are hoping for a Golden Globe for her." Ricky replied.
"Well, who is our main competitor?" Sunny asked. There is always a favourite. Everyone knows it.
"Emma Thompson. Her movie - Howards End is too popular to ignore and her acting is cut above the rest." Ricky replied thoughtfully.
"Howards End... I saw that. It's a period film. Isn't it?" Sunny asked.
"Yup. Plus, it's from Sony and has good funds." Ricky added.
"Don't worry. Because it is a good movie, it will have multiple nominations. Sony would focus on best picture and best direction and other heavy awards. This best actress might not be their priority. We only focus on this.
Take a budget of 2 million dollars. Find VHS tapes and players and ship them to all Academy voters. Get the best parties and do the proper lobby work. It should be like we are fighting for the next President of the USA.
This PR activity is crucial for us. Take the lead, hunt for more awards and focus on this. Also, check with Jessica. If she can put her own funds, it will be a lot easier." Sunny answered after thinking.
"2 million? That's a lot." Ricky said in amazement.
"Not if you are trying to win the award and plan to do so in future. We need to create a relationship and it will take this much. You contact finance and I will give them a call." Sunny ended the meeting after the general direction was finalised.
He only needed to finalise the funds and the goal for the Oscars, the operation is for Ricky. Ricky is perfect for this kind of PR role and Sunny is hoping Ricky can develop in this area or at least lead the team before there is a structure in place.
Jessica Lange would have never thought that she might compete in the Oscars when she is in her 40s and almost faded out of Hollywood.
