[Inside a Manila Restaurant]
[Multiple POVs]
Valentino has been in the Philippines army for almost 30 years and nothing has changed ever since the Americans took over and Heneral Luna was killed in battle supposedly.
While many of us who are loyalists knew that Luna was assassinated by his mother and Emilio which disgusted them as they were patriotic, and so was Luna. And Emilio chose to give in to the Americans which was understandable giving the circumstances.
But killing Heneral Luna was the last straw that some of the loyalists who were loyal to Luna were stuck between serving America, or becoming a revolutionary once more.
It didn't help the fact that Emilio was bragging about how they won the war which left a bad taste in some of the officers of the Philippine army.
Even the Filipino civilians were questioning Emilio as to why Heneral Luna had to die and Andres Bonifacio as well. To this day, his grave hasn't been found.
Valentino was honestly tired of being kind towards the American military as they have ruled the Philippines for about 25 years now. Valentino acknowledged that America has indeed changed their country, yes. But changing the culture and history along with the propaganda that Emilio was labeled a hero and the Philippine-American War was left forgotten pissed off some of the old officers who were there. Even worse, Valentino would state that the standards of the Philippine army are so bad that even a neighboring country could walk all over them in a couple of months if not weeks if they knew our terrain well enough.
As Valentino was thinking about retiring while eating adobo with rice. A suited stranger entered the restaurant in a noble manner-ish way as the suited man looked around and spotted a seat and walked towards it and sat down just beside Valentino who was eating.
Valentino ignored the said man, but was curious on why of all the places to sit, why near him? He thought.
The suited man removed his hat and grabbed something out of his backpocker of his suit and pulled out a small notebook and started to write.
Valentino would immediately notice the man's look as it was European, and German at that since he had a relative that lived in Germany and sent him souvenirs and a couple of pictures of his friends in the German empire. Hence Valentino recognized the features anywhere. And to top it all off, he noticed that the man has a strange tattoo on his neck which symbolizes 3 letters and a dragon coiling around it along with the angel symbol and a single gold star.
He couldn't help but be curious as Valentino stared at the strange man but didn't push his luck towards Europeans as he had a friend that almost died to a Russian for disturbing him in his sleep. And Valentino didn't even bother to repeat the same fate as his friend did.
Hence he resumed eating and ignored the suited man as he didn't realize the suited man was looking at him all along and trying to understand Valentino more just by look.
The suited man named Gerald was tasked by the Society to explore the Philippines in order to build up a spy network and eventually help the locals in defending their homeland as Erika had another motive, a selfish motive that Erika even though was born German, she cannot erase her past as she still cared her country's fate in the hands of the Americans and japanese in the future.
Erika also wanted to establish a new paramilitary organization in the Philippines and their orders are to defend the Philippines and establish a secured channel and communications between the German empire and the Philippines.
Gerald recalled how he accepted this job 8 months ago as he was still an initiate at the time and from then on, he had gained experience and eventually he was ordered to be sent here to establish a spy network.
So Gerald started by establishing a business in Manila, and slowly work from there as slowly but surely, his business of selling cigarettes were popular as the brand 'Fortune' was slowly being popularized even in Manila films as a number one go to cigarette in the Philippines and Gerald successfully fully established himself as a Filipino citizen after months of living in Manila.
After what seemed forever of silence between the two, Gerald spoke in a heavy German accent but with a slight change as Gerald lived in Bavaria at one point.
"You seem to be cautious my friend" Gerald opened with a front statement
Valentino was appalled by this and nonchalantly replied "I'm always cautious. You never know if I'm with you or not. Like if you're the enemy or not since I have trust issues even back in the civil war."
"I see. Well then, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Gerald for now and if you have time, we can discuss somewhere private on…sensitive matters."
Seeing the suited man named Gerald, one thing comes to mind is that he's a scammer or the one faking it. But nevertheless, he took a chance since he has nothing to lose anyway.
"Sensitive matters huh. You do know that we are in a public restaurant?" Valentino pointed out as he finished his adobo and rice.
"Yes, I am aware. Hence why we are moving elsewhere. You can even choose the location. I just want to help you in anyway I can, to avenge your Favored Heneral Luna."
Hearing the name, he stopped to look at Gerald as his expression was angry and didn't like any jokes from this point on and replied
"Sure. I'll agree to this. Do you mind going to my home along with my friends?"
"Sure, why not? It's not like I'm hiding anything." Gerald agreed.
They paid for their food and exited the restaurant together and both headed for Valentino's home. Which was about a 10 minute walk and Valentino spoke after the long walk.
"Welcome to our barangay. Or a small town in your language. Let's go to my home."
Gerald only nodded as Valentino he lead Gerald to a decent house. His family and friends greeted him and we're happy to see him.
After the greetings, they saw the man who's not native and assumed he was an American but Valentino clarified that he was a European. A German one at that.
Gerald was then invited in as Valentino, along with 5 other officers who were friends of his formed a table as Gerald was then invited to sit down and finally the atmosphere changed with all of them seated as all the officers families just watched and listened.
"Should your families even know of this Valentino?" Gerald looked around as he didn't quite understand the culture just yet of the Philippines.
"Nothing's a secret within our families. So either take it or leave it."
Gerald sighed as he grabbed a smoke and lit it. Exhaling a puff of smoke as he started his side of things.
"As you can see Europe, as you may not know for all of you, is in a bit of a conundrum. It's like a powder keg waiting to go off at any moment."
"What's that got to do with any of us?" Antonio was of Valentino's friends and an officer himself. "We only care about our country."
"Yes I agree with you Mr..?"
"Antonio. Just call me that. The one seated next to you is Gonzales, Fernando, and lastly Reyez." Antonio pointed out on who's who as Gerald nodded to Antonio and greeted the men back in a proper way before continuing his point.
"While yes it won't affect your country at all, it will definitely affect the US and other Asian players in the Asian side of the world." He exhaled a puff of smoke after that statement.
"Why would America even care about our little country? It's not important to them as they just think of us as a colony and. Nothing more." Gonzales stated.
"But they helped us modernize and improved our way of life. Don't you think that's helpful enough?" Fernando argued.
"Helping us? More like suffocating us with as much US propaganda as possible. They even tried to change our culture once. And the only reason they failed was because most of the locals rioted over it." Reyez pointed out.
"How would it affect us? Could you explain?" Valentino wanted the facts and nothing more as he asked.
"Japan is industrializing quickly with the help of the Americans and the British due to trade. China on the other hand is still in a civil strife even though on the outside it looks stable. Other regions controlled by the Dutch, French, and the British are passively sucking the land away and depriving locals of their wealth." Gerald used a white lie on his words as he wanted to demonize the future enemies of the Reich as soon as possible and by starting it with the Philippines as in the Saintess eyes, it is a strategic country to be able to link nearby countries via ship routes.
That's why the Saintess wants the Philippines' cooperation in the future to distract or grab some of the attention of rather annoying enemies to buy Germany time.
It might seem cruel to use the Philippines as a puppet, but the Sainte- no Erika herself resolved that The Philippines can be independant, but it must be on her own terms. Hence why she plans to establish a spy network in the Philippines and secretly arm the locals along with the loyalist supporters that want nothing but independence. As Erika's plan is to give as much headache as possible to America to free the Philippines more earlier.
"So what you're implying is that you, as a cigarette factory owner, will fund our cause.? How did you even know that we are not loyal to the government anyway?"
Everyone was curious on how this man knew
"I have my sources. Since your army is prone to bribing and a bit too chatty under alcohol." Gerald reasoned as he didn't want to reveal that they stole the information.
"You still haven't answered our question on how you'll help us." Antonio reminded Gerald.
"I will be helping you via smuggling weapons and ammunition and in exchange you'll give us information, as long as you give the Americans a headache, or slowly destabilize Emilio Aguinaldo a Presidency."
Everyone looked at each other and discussed it with each other and they're families for a while. While Gerald knew he had to ask the Society to smuggle weapons and ammunition to the Philippines via merchant ships. Which isn't easy, but with enough money, it might be possible. Gerald wanted to also talk with the Muslims living in Mindanao, but he couldn't reason with them since he is not of Muslim descent nor an ottoman.
After what seemed hours, they finally finished discussing with each other and came to a conclusion as Gerald stubbed his cigarette and focused on the 5 men.
"So what is your answer?"
"We will agree on certain conditions." Valentino stated.
"And what are those conditions?"
"Firstly, we want German citizenship and passports for every member of our families including us."
Gerald's eye twitched as acquiring them might be somewhat hard but not impossible.
"I'll see what I can do since that's a lot of passports and citizenship certificates you're asking me."
Antonio nodded and also stated another condition "Secondly, we want someone in the German empire to train us to be more effective in combat. As well as using German equipment since the Americans only gave some equipment to us that are bad in quality and in quantity."
"That can be arranged." Gerald again promised it would be fulfilled.

"We also want money to help our family and fund our newly established rebellion group that we will formally make soon."
"And what would the group be called?" Gerald asked
"Maharlika National Party."
"Our slogan will be 'Isang bansa, Isang Grupong Tao kay Tuhan' it means One Nation, One people, One God."
"Gerald raised his eyebrows at such a slogan and was curious who would be leading it. "Who will lead the party then?"
"We all decided that Valentino would be the leader of the party. Since he has sacrificed a lot for us during the Philippine American war."
"I see. Then that's all? " Gerald made sure that's the last of the conditions they're asking for.
"Yes that's all. When can we expect the aid and the ones we ask for?"
"It will take a few months for your first condition. The second condition is albeit easy to do since your country's officials are a bit corrupt. Well if that's all gentlemen I must depart now. But do remember that the aid will arrive in a location you all choose. So choose wisely. And may God be with you all for a new nation reborn. May you succeed."
Gerald then left the house and headed straight for his car that was still parked in front of the restaurant.
After getting in, Gerald pondered on the future of the Philippines and smiled as it would be quite funny if the Philippine army crushed every opposition in the Asian side and had their own navy. Wouldn't that be a dream come true? He then departed to head for the office to make a report on what happened and send it to the society in Germany.
It's all coming together now…it's only a matter of time before the Saintess will rule even the Pacific. And I will make that dream come true even until my dying breath. He thought. Call him a fanatic, but society saved his family and his life. And he would give everything to fulfill the goals of the society even if it's immoral and unjustified. The GIS will have everything.

[Erika's POV]
"Any reports you have for me Visha?" I asked, as Visha has been my trusted attendant now for almost 2 years and she is quite reliable and her standing in the society has risen by a notch thanks to me recommending her.
Visha reacted as she grabbed the document in her suitcase and read out the reports made for this year alone.
"In the Philippines, we have successfully established a spy network along with infiltrating the army with the promise of a passport, money, and citizenship within Germany."
"Hoh. What a demand. But expected since it's my country after all…" I muttered,
"Pardon ma'am?"
"It's nothing Visha. Any other reports?"
"Oh yes, Reports from the polish lands that Józef has agreed to help us if we help him in kicking out the Russians sooner or later."
"Inform Hitler and August that we will only send the bare minimum of support since I don't trust the polish just yet. They have a history of backstabbing people and tend to be not loyal since they are Slavic after all." I said, while preparing some coffee for both of them.
"Yes, Meine Führerin."
"Please stop with the Führerin…god I hate Victoria for ever mentioning that…" I was a bit frustrated but confronted Victoria about it and gave up convincing her as the leader's name for me has already stuck to either Saintess, or Führerin. To which leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. But I can't deny I felt the taste of fanatical worship. Which terrifies me, at the same time compels me to succeed and help my people.
"But Erika! It is required to say it when you're in the room or anywhere."
"Fine, fine just move on with the reports please." I said, as I finished making the coffee and handed one to Visha.
"Danke Schoen. Meine Führerin. And oh yes continuing. Latest reports from London has come that the British are building more ships as of lately. Reports say, it is doubled as they are terrified of the amount of ships Germany has."
Bullshit is what I thought of that report since the British can rule the waves all they want since we can't contend with that. I swear I want the Kaiser to face the reality that our navy can't contend with the British yet. Not this time at least. Maybe in a few decades, we can but not now.
I gestured with my hand to continue the reports.
"The British army as well have doubled in size to 500,000 men and women as well as funding or loaning France to keep the standing army of the French stable as well as their economy."
"Mhmm…any news about the Russians?" I inquired.
Visha shuffled some documents and found one from Russia and read it out for me.
"Russia is slowly destabilizing due to the failed DUMA yet again by Nicholas as by your orders, we can immediately grab the Romanov family and use them as a chess piece at any time. But other reports stated that Nicholas has been nearly assassinated twice now and the ideology growing in Russia called "Communism" is growing at an alarming rate."
How the fuck is it growing when Lenin is not even there. I thought as I pondered on who is further spreading Lenin's works.
One possibility is his letters but we intercept his letters everyday to check the contents and even see if there's any hidden codes in said letters but found none.
So the other possibility is that Trotsky is doing it. Which brings more problems if trotsky really takes over.
My plan is to have the governing body of Russia take over and reinstate the Romanov family again and help the Russians kickstart their economy once again. But if that isn't possible, I'll have to switch to plan B and that plan B is to assassinate all possible leaders of the growing communist party and hope it doesn't grow to an even bigger problem in the future.
Setting that aside for now, I inquired about reports from America from Visha, which Visha responded rather quickly.
"Reports from America that we have successfully rescued about 3,500 Blacks and have established a small city near Königsburg for them to settle down and live their lives. Additionally, another report have surfaced that the governor of South Carolina was assassinated and President Taft was furious and uhm reports say that Taft ordered an indefinite martial law in South Carolina until the crisis is over. So far about 2,910 American deaths have been reported along with 7,711 African Americans have died."
"Jesus, it's like a small civil war has erupted there." I stated.
"Yes…although many African Americans have been fleeing America, many of them still stayed."
"Hmm I guess something won't change…any other reports I need to know?"
"Yes Meine Führerin, France as per usual has started another recruitment drive to match our numbers and it's currently estimated that they have almost 1 million soldiers, along with their massive artillery buildup and stockpiles."
I grimaced at the thought of no man's land as I wished I could prevent it, but it needs to happen but with more french deaths then on our side which I plan to do when I'm deployed to either the western front or the eastern front.
Visha continued on "For the Italians, we have successfully established a spy network albeit with some lots of bribing and convincing of some of the locals. Especially some of the navy personnel's officials within the Italian navy."
"For Austria-Hungary, it is the same report as usual but with an addition that 2 generals within the Austrian army have agreed to join the GIS and promised support."
"What about the Empire of Japan?" I inquired as I drank my coffee.
Visha grabbed another document "not much as reports stated that they're industrializing very quickly and estimated that they'll finish by 1920 or later than that with a large navy accompanying it."
"How about china? Any reports? Especially on our leased Kiautschou Bay?"
Visha grabbed another document and read it "so far the Kiautschou Bay was modernized to fit our standards and many Chinese settlers want to live in the said leased territory. And so far we have invested about $50,000,000 dollars as of 1911 by the Kaiser's orders."
"Any chance we can buy the Bay from the Emperor?" I said, hoping Visha would say yes..but she knew it's impossible for now.
"I'm afraid not Mein Führerin, because they're still pissed at us, including the British and the French for the boxer rebellion." Visha showed an apologetic face as she finished the report.
"I guess not. That's all?" I glanced at the documents neatly stacked up as I saw Visha orderly placed them one by one into the suitcase and closed it. As I finished my coffee
"Yes, Meine Führerin. Should we head to the academy now?"
I glanced at my watch, and nodded. "Yes, let's go." We exited the VIP eating room just for us as the employees all greeted me and I greeted them back as we exited the Hotel.
"Do you think the German Empire has a future Visha?" I asked as we entered the car.
Visha stayed quiet for a moment before replying. "It won't have a future without you at the helm Meine Führerin. The Reich needs you more than ever. And the people need you as well. That I believe is the future for us." Visha said with a resolute and passionist voice that moved me a bit as I chuckled and said
"Who knows? If we lose this war, I might even call it the German Reich, and slowly but surely lead Germany to conquer the whole of Europe." I teased. Not realizing my words had an opposite effect.
Visha and the driver Shaked at Erika's words as they knew they had a goal now. And that goal that will start the true German dominance in Europe. They vowed to make that goal a reality. No matter the cost. immorality, and Justice be damned.
Meanwhile while Visha and the driver were having an orgasmic moment of just staring at me weirdly, I was just staring outside the window and singing Erika the famous German song in my mind as I hummed the lyrics.
